Besides enriching a visual language or identity system with vivid details, hand-rendered designs also make for heart-warming elements that enable companies to connect and engage with audiences in delightful ways.

The collection of projects featured in Drawing Attention serve to inspire designers with a variety of illustration styles and settings that help to add more narrative layers to a brand. A book full of pretty pictures—what more could you want! The wide range of illustrations is wonderful, going from bright, energetic, and clean all the way to grayscale, mundane, and messy. A great resource if you need illustration inspiration.

The written portions are appreciated but leave something to be desired. Various artists were asked the same few generic questions. This produced answers that are generally the same—and usually doesn’t go any further than surface level discussion.
