This collection of essays is so good, each essay only 3 or 4 pages, and thus, can serve as a devotional that illuminates 1 Corinthians 10:31, "When you eat or drink or do anything else, always do it to honor God." In this book, we see how simple, every day task and hobbies can bring glory to God, from knitting to home repairs to muppets to juggling to napping to grandparenting to work to wine to pipe-smoking, and many, many more. As a Christian pipe-smoker myself, I really enjoyed Malcolm Guite's essay and poems about the hobby, and smoked my pipe while reading each of these essays. You'll never look at your own hobbies the same way again after reading this book. This book will truly make you enjoy your hobbies even more and praise God as you engage in them.

Absolutely wonderful. These beautiful essays on the seemingly ordinary activities that make up our extraordinary lives inspired me to be intentional, observant, and creative as I think about the areas of my life where I most bring glory to God and the surprising intersections my passions have with my faith.
