Keep'n It Simple: The Economics of Inflation

Rate this book
Say the word inflation and everybody listens, and everybody has an opinion. But is that opinion based upon an understanding of the economics that underlies inflation, or is it based upon what we heard the talking heads of television say? Are we able to decipher information for ourselves instead of just regurgitating the Fox or CNN opinion? Economists try to explain inflation using graphs, charts, equations, and algebra while our eyes roll, and we sigh in frustration. The talking heads try to summarize it for us by telling us what to think. Instead of these two behaviors, GET INFORMED. That is what this book has been written to do. To make the topic interesting, it is written in a Q&A format using 2022 current events as well as relevant history to provide meaningful examples of the material. Topics include controlled versus uncontrolled inflation and how the Government contributes to and can control these.
