Cottonwood Cove #2

Under the Stars

Rate this book
My new assistant is all smiles and sunshine—and she’s about to set fire to my cold, grumpy heart.

I've moved to this god-forsaken small town to run the family business.
I need to hire a new PA and the pickings are slim.
Some say my irrational expectations are the reason I've gone through assistants quicker than most people refill their coffee.
Incompetence is my pet peeve.
If that makes me irrational, so be it.
Then Georgia Reynolds walks into my office.
Blonde hair.
Sapphire eyes.
And a smart mouth that irritates me as much as it turns me on.
On top of being a rockstar at her job, she is a ray of freaking sunshine on steroids.
I have no patience for it.
Nor for the way she flutters around the office like a modern-day Tinkerbell.
She has ridiculous taste in music.
Drives an unreasonable form of transportation.
And did I mention that I caught her dancing in my closet when I sent her on a simple errand?
My new assistant has somehow become my kryptonite.
But I am her boss, and I am not going to be a pathetic cliché.
It doesn’t matter that my cold, jaded heart has started beating again.
In my world, a beating heart makes you weak.
And I do not tolerate weaknesses.

“You’re too good, Georgia Reynolds.” He pulled back, and his dark brown gaze searched mine.
“You’re too good, Maddox Lancaster. You just do everything you can to hide it.”

I haven’t devoured an ebook this quickly in some time. Less than 24 hours and I had this read from cover to cover! It was one of those books that I couldn’t put down. It was so much fun, kept the biggest smile on my face, and had just enough emotion to balance it out. This is my first Laura Pavlov book and it’s safe to say I’m a fan! I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books.

Grumpy/sunshine is my absolute favorite and Georgia aka Tink is one of the most sunshiney characters and I mean that in the best way. Maddox is her new boss and the quintessential grump. Maddox doesn’t want to like Georgia. He doesn’t want to fight the urge to smile every time he sees her, but he can’t help it. She wears him down and does it quickly.

Georgia was my favorite character in the book. I loved her. And her entire family! I’m so happy her siblings all have/are getting books. Maddox was great as well. He had some valid reasons for being the way he was and he just needed the right person to open him up and his Tink was perfect for him. Honestly, there was nothing about this one I didn’t love. It was fantastic and I’m so happy I picked it up!

maybe my favorite laura pavlov book i’ve read so far 🤭

maddox is a new billionaire in town who’s gone through three assistants already when georgia applies and wins him over with her pickleball skills. they are opposites in every way but their close working relationship quickly proves that opposites attract.

ok this served grumpy sunshine, banter-y, billionaire, workplace, dislike to lovers and served it WELL. maddox was so hot and i LOOOOOVE when a hero wants to pretend his feelings are casual but he’s doing all these cute gestures. and the mouth on him 🤭

i loved georgia - she was the perfect complement to maddox and in real life would be a booktok bestie for sure.

the plot twist had me shook but i LOVED it and ugh just the best couple and story.

LAURA PAVLOV DID IT AGAIN.
This is my favorite Pavlov book and that’s saying something because Only Mine from Honey Mountain is one of my favorite books EVER.

After I finished the Honey Mountain Series I was so sad it’s over and now I have something to look forward to again. The banter & texts between siblings is SO GOOD. I was actually laughing out loud at some parts.

Georgia is sassy & independent and I legit LOVE her and the fact that she calls her grumpy boss BOSSMAN throughout the entire book!

Ugh, this was just so good from start to finish and I love how Laura never does an unnecessary break up at the end. It’s SO refreshing.

billionaire workplace
small town
grumpy sunshine
2/5 🌶️

ps- I am so excited for Brinkley’s book next. She reminds me a little of her cousin Dilly and I cannot wait for the banter!!!!

I just love Laura's small town romances and this was no exception! This one is about Maddox, who has opened an office for his business in the small town of Cottonwood Cove. He needs a new assistant and Georgia is the only one remotely qualified for the job, despite the fact that she drives him insane. I'm not always a fan of someone being overly rude to their boss, especially if they were just hired. But I really loved how Maddox was slowly broken down when it came to Georgia and falls for her so hard. Their relationship ended being fun and I liked seeing Maddox starting to actually enjoy small town life. Like the first book in the series, the family aspect is great and I loved all of the text messages in the group chat with Georgia and her siblings. They were so cute and I loved seeing Maddox interact with them and meet them. If you're looking for a fun small town romance series with swoony romances and a great cast of characters, definitely pick the Cottonwood Cove series!

To my dear friend who recommended this when I asked for a grumpy-sunshine romance, thank you and this book fit that category perfectly. But also, please stop reading this review right now. Please and thank you.

This was a grumpy/sunshine workplace romance that I read for a summer bingo challenge square. I've heard lots of good things about Laura Pavlov but don't think she quite fits my reading tastes. This had that stereotypical male POV that I hate in romance novels where they just incessantly sexualize the heroine. For example, her mouth dropping open in shock equated to him thinking of blowjobs. Not saying this isn't accurate but I was thinking of toxic masculinity a lot while reading this.

What truly broke me is when the heroine referred to the hero's penis as "Mount Cockasaurus". There was no redeeming this book from that moment, in fact the book only got melodramatic and worse from there. Everything I enjoyed about the beginning and the aspects of the heroine's job just got brushed aside for melodrama. And honestly, I thought she could do a lot better than the hero, but that's just me.

Such a wonderful refreshing love story

I really enjoyed the romance and the humor in this romance. Tink, as the hero calls her, is hilarious. I loved everything that came out of her mouth. And Bossman, is swoony. I love how he fell in love with her, and I loved how sassy she was to him. Is this realistic? Not at all. Thank heavens. First off no boss would ever let someone talk to him like she did. He never would have hired her. 2nd half the things they said to each other at work were a little off and no way can that happen nowadays. Can someone spell lawsuit? But the whole Reynolds family was delicious. It sounds that they might be part of a series or something so I must have read out of order. But I am glad I did. This book was sweet, funny, and smoking hot! I can't wait to tell my friends about it.

I’m sorry, the moment the FMC threw a dance party in his house - when she’s just supposed to be grabbing something for him??????

I cannot deal with a character that acts like such an immature child, who has never worked a day in her life before. This is supposed to be an adult woman? And OF COURSE he’s into it, instead of thinking how unprofessional and inappropriate this is.

***AUDIOBOOK REVIEW***

Laura Pavlov just continues to make me fall in love with each new couple. They were sweet and endearing, and the grumpy / sunshine trope was executed to perfection.

If you love a billionaire hero who wants to take care of his girl and has a huge heart underneath all of that grump, Maddox is someone you will love!

The narrators will also perfection! I loved the audiobook so much!

Under the Stars is the 2nd book in Laura Pavlov’s Creekwood Cove series and after really enjoying the first book in the series, I had to continue right on to book 2. This is a small town series and in this one we get grumpy sunshine, billionaire hero, and a workplace romance!

Georgia is the youngest of her 5 siblings and at the beginning of the story she gets hired on as the personal assistant to Maddox. Maddox is from a wealthy family and he recently moved to the small town to run his family’s publishing business. Her super sunshiny personality kind of grows on her grumpy boss and they hit it off really well. She surprises him at work with how much she steps up to help with any task and even gushes over authors they want to sign.

This author just really delivers on romances where you believe the chemistry! Again we get some fun nicknames that the couple calls one another, “Tink” and “Bossman”. I love her family and how much they showed up in the story. I liked seeing him open up about the loss of his beloved mother and just seeing these two share so much with one another was so sweet. I did love the first book in the series a bit more, but this series is real good and I’m excited for the next books to come! I definitely recommend this series from this author and checking out the audiobooks as well!

This story is really captivating. I enjoyed it even more than the first part of the series 😍

Georgia is a charming girl with a strong personality and she kept Maddox on his toes throughout the book 😂

Maddox is the classic grumpy boss with a caring heart yet he's hesitant to reveal it to others 🥹

I loved their relationship from the very start to the conclusion of the book – the way they supported one another and shared their first declaration of love 💞

If it weren’t for the funk, I would have enjoyed it more. But, some of things were really annoying in this one anyway.

But mainly it was insta- lust and love in this that ruined things because how tf would you explain to me that this so called hero who’s very grumpy and serious started dreaming of fcking her employee and gave her a very Disney nickname, and too within the first 50 pages ?? Plus, I’m not even going to talk about how his dick is the cockasuarus, according to him.

Also this heroine, wasn’t bubbly just really stupid. She just got the job and instead of doing her job and fetching the things like she’s supposed to, she decides to hold a mini concert by seductively biting her lips and wearing his clothes?

Also epilogue wasn’t quite satisfactory to me, even with the bonus one. Just a plain set up that what would we get from the next book. Disappointed.

First Impressions
Under the Stars is the second installment in the "Cottonwood Cove" series. I really had a fun time with this one and it really brought to the surface this family that I fell hard for in the first book. The heroine is one of the sisters in this family. Their bantering was delightful. I had a blast with the office romance that we see being implemented. There was a level of charm and endearing emotion with solid spice that wraps this story in a beautiful package.

First Line
No more dirtbags.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Maddox Lancaster
Boss of a traditional publishing company. Emotionally struggling with childhood trauma with a cinnamon roll character type.

The Heroine: Georgia Reynolds
Sassy and snarky. A free spirit. Recovering from a bad breakup. Creative and unique and strong willed.

Summary
Under the Stars is the beginning of where Georgia Reynolds, has been emotionally recovering from her boyfriend cheating on her. She comes to Cottonwood Cove to be with family and find something different. She gets a job with a trad publishing company as the CEO's PA. She tends to get into his things and be a bit wild and creative and just what Maddox needed. He is bossy and crusty at first, but he can't help but be drawn to her. They start a bit of a fling, but soon their secret relationship turns into something deep.

What I Loved
This is a deeply romantic romance that took my breath away. I wasn't sure what I thought in the beginning, but quickly this author just had me falling in love with these characters. I was so endearingly charmed by these characters and their banter was so loveable. It has such a different take on a boss/employee setup. I found their interactions sexy and enticing but also with underlying emotion that had such depth to it. We also have some serious issues that are tackled which are well balanced with fun banter that leaves you with a smile on your face from beginning to end. Even though there is a power dynamic, the way this book is written, it doesn't feel like there is one at all. (although lets be honest I love power dynamics lol). But I do think those that struggle with those aspects, then you will enjoy how its handled here. The hero is more of a cinnamon roll and he is all in for the heroine and making sure he is never taking advantages of the situation when they get together. Although he is deliciously bossy and I loved that. So he is more of a alpha cinnamon roll.

What I Struggled With
The heroine at first. I am kinda tired of these heroines sometimes lol they are just everywhere which is what kept this book from a five star rating or even a 4.5 rating. She was just very entitled and so disrespectful. Some of the actions she takes I would NEVER even think about doing. But I guess it made the book fun for the author. But it just rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning a bit. But her character does grow on you but why does EVERY Single heroine in a small town romance HAVE to be sassy and disrespectful? We can't have a sweet and fun heroine? Or shy and kind? LOL

Narration
The narration on this book was SPECTACULAR and is one of the star reasons why this rating is as high as it is. They make such a great team in really portraying the personalities of these characters so well.

Overall View
Under the Stars is a stunning romance that delves into deep emotion, sparkling humor and with a touch of sass and family connection to keep you hooked ....line....and sinker.

Favorite Quote(s)
“The reason I don’t see what you see when you look up at the sky is because I’m always looking at you. Even with all the stars out at night, I don’t want to look anywhere else. Because I have everything I need. Everything I want. It’s right in front of me.” “You just beat out every book boyfriend I’ve ever put on a pedestal with that confession,” she whispered. “You’re the perfect leading man.”

This book. Absolute freaking PERFECTION. I’m calling it now, this is going to be in my tops reads for the entire year. Hands down my favorite book by Laura so far. Her books just keep getting better & better.

Under the stars follows Georgia, who we met in the first book of the series. She’s the youngest Reynolds sibling & just a ray of sunshine. Georgia is fresh out of college & looking for a job. She finds a job in her hometown working as a personal assistant at a publishing company, which is where she meets her boss, Maddox.

Maddox is the definition of a grump. His family is very wealthy & owns the publishing company they work for. Maddox tends to go through PA’s fairly quickly & when Georgia comes in to interview for the position, he doesn’t have much choice but to hire her. They don’t get along at first… he’s very grumpy & bossy but she doesn’t let it get to her & basically kills him with kindness. Despite what Maddox originally thinks of her, Georgia excels at her job & genuinely impresses him. He also can’t deny how attracted to her he is. The more time they spend together, the harder it is to deny their connection.

I absolutely loved their story & how their relationship developed. & the meaning behind the title of the book, ‘Under The Stars’ is so beautiful. This book gave me all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I smiled so hard throughout this entire book. The banter & chemistry was just pure perfection.

I am already on the edge of my seat to read Brinkley & Lincoln’s story. Brinkley reminds me a lot of Dylan from Laura’s Honey Mountain series. I love her personality & just know her book is going to be so good! Honestly, the whole Reynold’s family already has a special place in my heart. The text exchanges between the siblings is always one of my favorite parts of reading Laura’s books.

(spoilers below)

Would have been a solid 4 star read but 2 things irked me enough to take down a star:

1) H goes on a date with OW in order to "get laid." The restaurant is the h's brother's and she is also there with her family. Nothing happens with OW/H and he sends her packing after dinner since she was really rude to h when she came over to say hi. At this point H/h were starting to develop feelings and it was NOT the time to be trying to get laid by OW. I hate it when this happens! Thankfully h also went on a date with OM soon after to even things a bit.

2) Sooo many mentions of how much of a manwhore he was. I don't need it constantly thrown in my face, authors! I get trying to show how many firsts he's also having with h (sleepover, cuddling, etc) but the constant mention of him sleeping with ow really turns me off.

Besides those two points I really adored the book!

Besides that stupid date H was all about the h and the h was awesome!! Loved their banter, friendship, and then relationship. Second half was a little on cheesier side and I gobbled it up.

Safety: Safe, no cheating. OW/OM drama.

I have no idea how this book has such high ratings….I’m usually all for grumpy boss/ sunshine romances but this didn’t do it for me.. It was very insta-lusty even though there was zero chemistry or connection between the characters.. Then the “I don’t do relationships” trope was so repetitive and annoying… FMC was way too childish, the bubbly sunshine mark was missed…… and then she uses “ginormous schlong and mount cockasaurus” ?????? as descriptive words…

Under The Stars, the second book in the Cottonwood Cove series, is a boss + employee, grumpy + sunshine, somewhat enemies-to-friends-to lovers romance between youngest daughter, Georgia Reynolds and billionaire Maddox Lancaster.

"Because the world was Georgia Reynolds’ fucking oyster. She didn’t care about money or expensive things; she was just comfortable in her own skin.”

Before starting Georgia and Maddox’s story, I thought they were going to be my favorite. Hugh and Lila, our couple from the first book in the installment, are difficult to beat, but surely, I thought Georgia would be equally as loveable. She was probably my favorite Reynolds sibling. Yes, I say was because truthfully, I’m not sure her character arc aligned very well with the portrayal we got from the previous book. There are a lot of aspects of her personality that I absolutely love. She’s a ray of sunshine and as you may be well aware by now, those kinds of characters are my favorite. She’s not going to let anyone dim her light, especially not her broody boss. She’s got this uniqueness about her that just captivates you. That being said, a lot of times, her…quirky personality came across in a very embarrassing manner. I cringed my entire way through this book. Every time I thought we were done, she’d do something even more excruciatingly painful. She just didn’t seem to understand social cues very well. I never want to read the words ginormous schlong and Mount Cockasaurus ever again. Now, that aside, I appreciate the way Georgia stood her ground. She wasn’t going to let anyone intimidate her and that, I would say, is her strongest quality. She’s an empath with a heart of gold.

“Because it’s you, Tink. And you’re kind of my favorite person right now. Which is saying a lot because I don’t like most people.”

I was pleasantly surprised when I ended up loving Maddox’s character. Although he appears to be a cold-hearted, workaholic, there’s a lot of trauma he needs closure from and while it may justify his feelings, he never takes it out on his love interest. Bare minimum, I know, but I’ll take what I can get in this day and age. His character development was absolutely incredible. He’s got a lifetime of healing to deal with after watching his mother pass away, but he’s honest with himself and isn’t afraid to seek the guidance he may need.

As for their dynamic, I so deeply appreciate that there wasn’t this overbearing instant attraction. It took them both quite sometime before they even inwardly accepted their feelings toward one another. The progression of their relationship was very natural and while it wasn’t exactly a slow-burn, they were still taking their time to enjoy everything about one another. Despite their differences growing up, Georgia is determined to make Maddox a part of the Reynolds family. Also, his nickname for her?! Tink. Tell me that isn’t the sweetest.

The Reynolds love is what keeps me coming back for more. They’ve got such a healthy dynamic, even when they aren’t getting along. There were so many moments in this book when Georgia’s family stepped up to the plate to support her, even when she insisted she could get by on her own.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, the family text thread is such a nice touch. It makes the writing more personal and gives us a glimpse into our supporting characters personalities, while rounding out one of our main protagonists.

I am also still in mourning because I’ve come to accept that we probably won’t be getting Cage’s story anytime soon. I am a single dad kind of girlie and seeing him with his daughter, Gracie, just makes my ovaries disappear. Absolutely implode. Goodbye.

One of my constant critiques with Pavlov’s writing though, is that it’s too formal. No one’s inner dialogue is that professional. There’s so much potential within her writing and this minor change would make a four-star rating a five star for me. Although I will say, it doesn’t effect the reading experience too much, being as I read this all in one day.

Now, as far as the plot goes, I am always going to be a lover of the book within a book trope. Nothing makes the experience more enjoyable than reading about characters that love reading as much as we do. Lancaster Press, the publishing branch that just moved into Cottonwood Cove, is home of some of Georgia’s favorite authors. She’s living my dream life, so don’t mind me vicariously living through her.

Everything aside, I don’t want to discredit Pavlov’s writing just because one story isn’t my cup of tea. She’s got this talent for writing small-town stories that feel like home. That being said, I am very much excited to read Brinkley and Lincoln’s story.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Laura Pavlov for providing me with this ARC. As always, all opinions are my own and are not influenced by early access to this title.

I loved that while Georgia was quirky and had a childish personality, it’s wasn’t too childish to the point that you were just embarrassed by her. I thought it was a good mix especially considering she’s in her early 20s. Georgia is a ray of sunshine and brings a smile to everyone’s face. She gets a job as the personal assistant to the broody Maddox Lancaster. He only focuses on work, is drop dead gorgeous and has a playboy personality to back it up.

These two work at Lancaster Press which is a publishing house, so we get to see the inside workings of the book world. And I LOVED it! We love book talk in a book. I would consider this slow burn because these two fight their feelings towards each other until about half way. So glad this wasn’t instant-love. I loved seeing them build their relationship slowly and become friends before anything else happened. These two are the sweetest thing and I loved them. All the cute gestures were just adorable and I ate it up. Not to mention Maddox loves to talk dirty in the bedroom 🥵 and can we talk about the ending of the book!?!?! It was the cutest freaking thing ever!

One thing that bothered me was how they went from this is just a fling to nope we are dating so fast. Like it was easy to see how much both of them liked each other I just think that maybe if we had that scene in Maddox’s POV it would have been better. We could have known what he was thinking when he decided that they were now together. Other than that I thought this book was perfect and I loved it so much.

Not gonna lie.. throughout Hughs book, Into the Tide, I wasnt that big of a fan of Georgia. But her and Maddox.. I think Under the Stars was better 🫢 I adored Bossman and Tink!!

Maddox was.. a zero thrills business man. Georgia was girly, with all the thrills and has a YOLO attitude. They shouldnt work, but when theyre in the same office (she takes a job as his PA) and the sexual tension starts right from the beginning. Its so good.

Georgia was a bundle of fun, both in and out of the office. But was also a really strong FMC, taking no nonsense and holding her own in any situation. Independent & strong willed. I loved her highly competitive ping pong games and fun personality. This opposites attract drew me in and I devoured it. When Maddox started opening up to G, my heart. Being under the stars together became their thing and it was beautiful to read.

Maddox falls hard. Going from a wham, bam, thank you ma’am kinda guy to extending their ‘fling’ again and again. He didnt have the same relationship with his family as the Reynolds had, but his growth in the book was incredible. Him and Gracie too. The Reynolds, if you read their group chat without belly laughing then theres something wrong with you (im joking, ofcourse) but I smiled throughout the whole book. I loved every small detail. I cant wait to return to Cottonwood Cove again, its a beautiful place 🤍 if you like small town, grumpy v sunshine, opposites attract then please pick this up!

“Ill meet you under the stars anytime, Bossman.”

“What the f*ck are you doing to me?” He whispered. “The same thing youre doing to me.”

Opinion Breakdown
The Good: The characters (main and side) and the premise.

The Not-So-Good: The conflict didn't provide any angst and with the potential it had considering what was happening, this was unfortunate.

The Bad: The ending.

Overall: This was cute for what it was, but I'm disappointed that I might've gotten my hopes up too high seeing all the raving reviews. I just thought it was okay. I did like their progression to more, and it did cover some heavier topics with the H and his past, but I guess it felt kind of surface level to me. I wasn't all that invested. I wasn't all that upset about the ending either, so I think that says a lot for me (look at closure section below). Overall, I'd say this was 3 "just okay" stars.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Georgia and Maddox's story. Maddox moved to a small town to help run a family business that he is the newly appointed president of. Georgia is straight out of college and a bad breakup, and she gets the job as his new assistant. Georgia is definitely the sunshine to Maddox's grumpy and they butt heads but quickly learn that they work well together. There is a friendship that forms and grows into more, some past and present trauma they have to deal with, and some sexy times...and they get a HFN ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Georgia and Maddox's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good, I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.

H (Hero) rating: 3.5 stars. Maddox. I liked him. I appreciated how he allowed himself to be vulnerable even though it was against his nature.

h (heroine) rating: 3.5 stars. Georgia. I liked her. I appreciated how understanding of others and comfortable in her own skin she was.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes, but only physically really

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This ends with that last ~5ish% being petty mushy and a little repetitive. It does set up the book about the sister in the epilogue and then offers an extended epilogue for the mcs. If you follow my reviews, you know this is a pet peeve of mine. I would call it a HFN ending

Safety: This one should be either Safe or Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences

I thought I loved the first book in this series but I loved this one even more somehow. Georgia and Maddox are the definition of a sunshine (her) and a grump (him) and this meant that the banter here was just absolute perfection. So much good dialogue between these two and he’s also her boss, she’s his assistant at a publishing house. Does it get any better than insider book stuff in a book?! Georgia is also a huge reader and at one point I messaged @allysbookshoparoundthecorner squealing and just saying, she’s one of us!! 😂 I adored her. The more I get to read about the Reynolds siblings the more I enjoy them, their family group chat is everything and I can’t wait for the next book. There was a third act heart attack moment for me that was very emotional and just brought so much depth to this well rounded romance, just wanted to give a warning cause I about 🫠😉Can’t say enough good things about this one or the series, a must if you like small town romance with spice, a lovable couple to root for and all the swoony moments this is a must!

My first by this author and I'm smitten!!
It's so beautifully written, poignantly touching and filled with humorous banter.
This Grumpy- sunshine, Boss-secretary, small town, office romance with so much heart, just made me an instant fan of Pavalov-ian style of writing
Set in Cottonwood Cove, Georgia is a Reynolds. A big family full of Rumbunctious 4 brothers, happy joyous family.
Her bossman is grumpy, stickler for rules, and very serious man. Maddox is smitten from the first glance itself, he doesn't know it yet.
Tete-a-Tete, tears, anxiety, and ice bath and concussion later this story concludes on an adorable moment
Andi Arndt is as usual the Queen and Tor Thom excels as maddox
5 stars for Tink-ling goodness

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

This is the second book in the Cottonwood Cove series, and I'm already obsessed with The Reynolds!

Georgia is the youngest Reynolds, but she's not a brat or spoiled, she's actually the most kind and caring and she have the biggest heart!
Boss Man though...(I'll call him like she does, cause it's freaking adorable). He's damaged. He's grumpy and serious, but when they start their work dynamics/friendship, you start to see why he's so cold and detached, but also how much he reaaaally needs everything that The Reynolds have to offer so freely. Love, friendship, family, support, loyalty and so much more... He also revealed himself as such a dirty talker! Love it!

You'll fall in love with them, just like they fell for each other! Their romance started with a kiss that they couldn't deny, and then escalated fluidly and passionately to a bond and a forever kind of love!

🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧

Narrated by Andi Arndt and Tor Thom and it was amazing! Andi is always great and Tor did good with all the grumpy or dirty talk!

The perfect amount of slow burn, romance and spice 😁
5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Maddox and Georgia were perfect grumpy and sunshine that transformed to fiends and then lovers.
Georgia was nothing what Maddox could have expected after moving to Cottonwood Cove. She melted his iced heart in no time and he let her. They were inseparable, happy, loving and team working in every way - apart from Maddox’s breakdown and their time without each other.

They had the perfect romance that Georgia read in books and her grumpy lover, Maddox was living the best of it with her….his star & his world.
