One omega for two alphas. What could possibly go wrong?
Adelyn has known from a young age that she would have to follow the guidelines laid out by the government… but dreaming about alphas and seeing them in real life are two very different things. In real life they’re hard, dangerous, and only interested in one thing, her. Claiming her. Breeding her. Making her theirs.
She’s seen what happens to omegas who disobey the rules. She’s not going to be one of them.
Bash, a hardened alpha construction worker, has been skipped over for years, so he’s skeptical when he’s chosen by Adelyn, but it’s not pity that he sees in her eyes. No, it's desire. Sharing her will be a monstrous task, but this alpha is all in. He won’t let his one chance to get off this island slip away.
Rhylon, a new alpha, doesn’t know what to expect when he arrives at Alpha Island. It certainly wasn’t making eyes at a cute omega on the transport or being chosen by said omega.
With danger lurking just around the corner, these two alphas must fight their instincts and work together to protect their omega at all costs. Will they manage to do the impossible and save her, or will they lose her and their chance at happiness forever?
Evie Burks is the author of the sweet and sexy Mated to the Grekarian Series and the steamy Omegaverse Alpha Island Series. If you like fated mates, a couple plus size heroines, aliens and alphas with huge appendages, sizzling moments, and more… you’ll have to check them out!
When Evie isn’t stuck in the writing cave, she’s hanging out with her husband and their rescue pooch, Sir Cooper Ryder Mess, and odds are they’re watching either hockey or The Food Network Channel. Occasionally she is subjected to watching golf… but she loves her husband anyhow! Ha!
Omega's Choosing really surprised me. The blurb caught my attention immediately. I loved the island of this "Alpha Island." The entire storyline was pretty unique to me.
We meet an Omega named Adelyn. In her government, there's one Omega per two Alphas. Omegas HAVE to follow this rule, or there's serious consequences. So Adelyn has no desire to break the rules. On the island, she chooses her two Alphas - Bash and Rhylon. Neither expected to be chosen by Adelyn, but they must work together to meet her needs and take care of her. It's difficult for alphas to share, but they have no choice.
What's so great about this book is that Adelyn herself gets to choose her alphas, not the government. So she at least has a say in her life and love.
I loved this book, and i'd definitely recommend this to others!
Adelyn has just presented as an Omega and must travel to select two mates, as required by law. She has so many questions and fears about what will be happening. Having never seen an alpha, she certainly gets that remedied during the chosing. But danger is all around from the unchosen Alphas and her two guys, Bash and Rhylon, must work together to protect her . Our author really has an intriguing approach to Omega verse that keeps you glued to the story. Her characters and locations are very well developed. Adelyn has the additional advantage that she gets to choose her mates, not the government, so she can wait until her gut says yes and their scent is amazing. I do appreciate the three POVs which allows me into each character and why they do what they do. And even better, this is the start to a new series
Okay, I really wanted to like this book, and the premise was interesting to me, but the execution really missed the mark. The writing is stilted and awkward (to the point where I was wondering if it was written by AI), the spicy scenes were uncomfortable to read (and that is coming from someone who has read around 600 spicy romance novels in the last two years, spice doesn’t make me uncomfortable 99.9% of the time) and wild details/plots seemingly came out of nowhere and were resolved in a weirdly short amount of time. For example, a character that is important to the climax of the story is introduced just a page or two before we meet him, and then his arc is over just as fast. Why? It wasn’t necessary, was never spoken about again, and he supposedly had a major connection to one of the MMCs. The back stories for both alphas were also lacking and though we are told little bits and pieces, I would have liked to see the characters fleshed out more.
This book needs a trigger warning page at the beginning of the book. Reviews and the premise make it seem like it is going to be a cute novella where the Alphas need to learn to share and the Omega is panicked about presenting as an omega and choosing her mates. All of that is true, however within the first five pages there is very graphic detail about the horrible things that will be done to her if she doesn’t have alpha protection, and those points are reiterated again, and again, and again, and then it turned into a dystopian zombie book. All of that is fine, but a little warning (more than there is “danger lurking” as the blurb states) would have been nice.
I loved this unique take on an Omegaverse romance. Adelyn is an Omega who must choose two Alpha’s. She chooses Bash who is an older Alpha and Rhylon who is a new alpha. Now the three of them must become a family. I love how things are not instantly perfect but the chemistry between the three of them steams up the pages. There is danger and some surprise twists. This was a fantastic read
This is my first book in the world known as the Omegaverse, and I can certainly say it did not disappoint! Evie Burks really knows how to keep her readers on the edge of her seat.
The story is about an Omega, Adelyn, who has just found out she is an Omega, and this is her journey to select her 2 Alpha mates. Once she chooses the two Alphas that she hopes to mate with, she is to spend two weeks getting to know them before she makes her final decision. Enter two totally hot Alphas, Bash and Rhylon. They could not be more different from each other, but somehow, the dynamic totally works. I liked that the Omega had a choice in picking her Alphas rather than being forced into a mating.
I am giving this a solid 4 star rating because the writing was well thought out and kept me interested the whole time. I was engrossed in the book at the halfway point and had a hard time putting it down. I did think that the backstory of the characters was a bit lacking and the "battle" at the end of book was a bit confusing since that character just seemed to come out of no where. Since this is the first book in the series, maybe that was the author's intention to keep the reader wanting more, which I definitely did. I hope the next book in the series gives us alot about histories of the both the Alphas!
If you like a hot and steamy book, this will the book for you. Some of the scenes were just too much and yet not enough!
Adeline presents as an Omega. Now she has to go to Alpha Island and choose 2 Alphas to be her mates for life. But how do you choose mates when you have never met them before?
Without Alphas to protect an Omega, she’s in grave danger. While getting to know her Alphas, she becomes ready to mate, and while sequestered away for days of mating, things continue to happen outside. What happens when an Omega isn’t even safe on Alpha Island? Will her Alphas be able to protect her from the rouge alphas?
My oh my this is a steamy one. It’s more smut than romance. It is a FMM romance with tons of steam.
I do like that the steam isn’t all this book is about though. There is an actually plot, the steam has a purpose, and there’s some action when rouge alphas try to find an Omega of their own. The problem is rouge alphas are deadly dangerous.
I had a hard time putting this one down. It was well written and there was no shying away when it came to the steamy scenes.
I enjoyed this one. This is my second book by the author. If you like Omegaverse then this one’s for you. Adelyn is a late bloomer. She hasn’t found out if she’s going to be an Omega or not. When they time comes she will be sent off to Alpha Island. There she will meet and pick two mates. She is afraid to be an omega. Adelyn finds out she’s an omega. She is escorted to Alpha Island. There she finds and meets her mates. Danger also lurks on Alpha Island. Will Adelyn mates be able to keep her safe. Check out the book to find out.
What an awesome read! Adelyn who’s an Omega must choose two Alpha’s of her choosing. She is sent to Alpha camp. On the way over, she lays eyes on Rhylon. She seems smitten with him right from the beginning. As she views the lineup of men, Rhylon is one of the men. She chooses him. The next guy she picks is a little rough around the edges, has scars, and has been at Alpha camp for some time. His name is Bash. He’s also been through quite a bit in his life. Two opposite men for sure. They have just a couple of weeks to bond and see if they are the right fit. Can you say bring on the steam! The connection these three have, is something else. At first, it seems like Bash and Rhylon are just gonna butt heads instead of bond. Wait til you see what happens! Along the way, they do face some challenges though. How will this affect them? Will Adelyn find the men she is meant to be with? Will Bash finally find the one or ones he wants to be with? Will Rhylon help soften Bash? You definitely won’t be disappointed in the end! This book is definitely a page turner!
Whilst Adelyn, the female omega lead, always knew she’d have to choose two alphas when she presented, she’s scared as she goes to the choosing island but she sees Rhylon, one of the male alpha leads, on the same transport vehicle, heading there too. He catches her attention and him going now means he’s a new alpha.
As she looks at alphas for selection, Bash, the second male alpha lead, also catches her attention. He has nearly aged out and is bitter because he’s been rejected for his scars before. But Adelyn wants both of them, so they need to work out how to get along as well as how to look after her and protect her from all the threats that come an omega’s way.
This story is dual POV, well written, and an interesting, complex story that begins a new series. I enjoyed the fact that the omegas got to choose their alphas. I enjoyed Adelyn’s sweetness. I enjoyed Rhylon’s confidence and willingness to take chances. I empathised with Bash’s history and enjoyed his significant personal development. I would have liked to see more backstory for both male leads, as I felt this was only briefly touched upon. I enjoyed the erotic intimate scenes and especially the growing relationship between Bash and Rhylon, and that Adelyn enjoyed that too.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
I have absolutely been loving all the new omegaverse stories coming out. So how does this one compare and is it worth checking out? YES it's absolutely worth reading!!
Adelyn is a newly emerged omega. While her designation doesn't turn out to be a surprise she's still afraid. Now she must leave her home and go choose 2 Alphas to mate with otherwise the government makes the choice for her.
Bash is an older alpha who has been passed over multiple times. He's a rough, intimidating man who makes his opinions known.
Rhylon is a newly emerged alpha and is younger. After a chance meeting with Adelyn he surprisingly gets a chance to mate her.
This book is told in alternating POVs so we get further insight into all their feelings and thoughts. It's a very interesting world they live in and their backstories are all vastly different. The 🌶 scenes once we get there are so 🥵. I'm talking wow we get heats, knotting, MF, MMF. It's a quick 1 day read so definitely grab this new omegaverse story.
Sweet, Steamy, and Heartwarming This story gripped me from the beginning. You really get a taste if the fear and excitement, the trepidation and anxiety that Adelyn feels as she begins her journey into adulthood as an omega. As time goes in, we see the relationship develope between her and the alphas she picks, and despite her fears that they'll struggle to bond, they fall into a rhythm so easily, and not just she and her men, but her men together as well. Their love transcends everything and they fight for her tooth and nail when things take turns for the worst. I loved the emotion and struggle in this story, and the romance between all three of our main characters was sweet and adorable. Definitely a great beginning to what I'm sure will be an exciting, suspenseful, and steamy series!
Omega’s Choosing is a sweet Omegaverse story by Evie Burks. It flows really well and keeps you engaged to where I read it in one day.
💜 sweet FMC 💜 two string and different MMC 💜 must choose mates 💜 outside conflicts 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice
Adelyn is our FMC in this story. We meet her where she lives at home with her sister, mother and two fathers. She has yet to present if she will be an omega or a beta. Then one day she starts to change and then her life gets thrust forward into having to make decisions on who her mates will be.
There is some conflict within the story that the characters must face as well as past traumas and hurts that they need to work through. But overall, this is a really sweet story that ends in a HEA.
Hawt. Steamy. Alphas. I would say this is a cute story about an omega that gets to pick two strong, possessive alphas of her choosing, but this isn't a cute story, it is a very smutty story. If you like #omegaverse youll love this story.
Shorty, Spicy and Super Sweet! This is my first book from this author and the writing blew me out of the park! Usually novellas are hard to get in5o for me because I like background and character development and while this wasn’t a full novel I thought the writer perfectly described and explained the plot and main charters. Filled with steam and cute moments i will read more from this author again.
One omega for two alphas. What could possibly go wrong?
In my eyes nothing—sign me up!
I have an addiction to omegaverse & MMF books. This one combines the two.
Rhy and Bash are fire…in more ways then one. This book is about discovering your inner true self with loads of spice mixed in. The two alphas compliment each other and balance perfectly with their omega.
Such an interesting story! First, loved the facto that omegas, even if it's their dutty, they get to choose their alphas! Then I loved the flirty new alpha and the poder rugged alpha. They are do difrent and still they Jake a complet pack! The development is very well done and the level if hotness is perfect! Very easy to read!
It was a good plot and much different then the usual omegaverse books out there. I enjoyed it but definitely needs to be proof read , it threw me off when she was described as having black hair and blue eyes and then in another scene he says she has beautiful blonde locks. Little things like that make a huge difference but overall I finished it and it was good.
i liked how quick of a read this was. the conflicts felt a little weird and out of nowhere. also we get this whole lead up to Bash's backstory and then we don't really find out the extent of it?? just that his brother was a rogue and bash apparently betrayed him?? do we know the details, NO so don't expect them
i still had a good time, just wish it'd been expanded on more
In this Omegaverse is it is law that an Omega must choose 2 Alphas. This was a short and steamy read. Adelyn is an Omega with a heart of gold. She is terrified when she presents as an Omega and is sent off to Alpha Island to choose her mates.
This story was a true testament of acceptance and learning too love. Bash is an Alpha who has been on Alpha Island for a long time. He's been chosen many times only to be rejected by the Omega's he's been chosen by. He is a little bitter and jaded and doesn't trust it when Adelyn chooses him; he was literally waiting for the other shoe to drop. Rhylon is a new Alpha to the Island, and he wasn't expecting to be chosen upon arrival.
This triad had their growing pains because getting Alphas to share is a feat all on its own, but they must learn to work together because danger is lurking around the corner and keeping their Omega safe is the number one priority. The bond between Adelyn and her guys grew into something neither of them anticipated and in the end all three had a bond with one another that grew into a relationship full of love, happiness, safety, and acceptance.
I think this story had a lot of potential, but some of the non-relationship aspects fell flat. For example the rouges, the visions, the attacks on the island, the sudden appearance of Bash's brother...all of these items are either mentioned and then never explored or resolved within pages. This was a very interesting concept and I am curious about future books in the series.
I read this book, because I actually was reading an anthology. And as it seems, the Christmas story there is a follow-up/bonus story to this book. I don't like to read outside the timeline. So, I had to read the main story first.
The premise really sounded promising too. It's not mainstream, either. The story itself is a dystopian setting with a corrupt government and omegas being the lowest of the low, betas are there to serve the alphas, and as usual the alphas are there to reign. There are rules for omegas. The most important one is, that they have to mate two Alphas. Otherwise, there are consequences. But, they are not paired through the government. They are sent to a so-called Alpha Island, where they can choose from the eligible pool of alphas. That was surprising, since that it's rarely done in a dystopian setting.
But grouping goes along to the general setting that I already know from RH books, where monogamous relationships between omegas and alphas are rare. Same explanation, there are fewer omegas than alphas, so the dynamic changed in that way, that the alphas have to share an omega.
Though, in this world it has a second purpose, because the world around them is dangerous, and the omegas need protection all the time. So, the theme is either, that you are stronger in a group.
So, Adelyn, our FMC, starts out as revealing as an omega and is sent to the Alpha Island without knowing what will happen and anxious about her future. She already meets Rhylon on the transport. He is a new transition alpha. They form an instant connection.
And then there is Bash, the other alpha, who is on that Island for many years. He was chosen several times, but the omegas, before Adelyn, always pulled back when they were close to him and rejected him, because of his appearance. So, over the years, he became jaded and didn't believe that any omega will ever pick him.
So, think of his surprise, when he is truly selected by Adelyn. But the start of the relationship is difficult, because he is used to being alone. But with Rhylon as the second alpha in the mix, he has to find a way to deal with it. And they have to claim Adelyn.
And I loved how it did go after that. It's really a unique setting. I have always seen some parts of that world in other books, but the way it was matched here was beautifully done. I could relate to every one of them.
But I can't give 5 stars, because there were still some issues. Like I still don't really know how the world around them works. We get a bit of information here and there, but not enough to get the full picture. And the appearances of the characters changed throughout the book, that I got really confused about what they look like. I think most people wouldn't really notice it, but I always make overviews to the books I'm reading. So, I write down how people look like, background details and so on and I constantly check it over.
For example, it was indicated that Bash had brown or at least golden-brown hair, because there was a comment to his chest hair/happy trail, and it was said it was golden. I don't think he dyed his hair on the Island, since he isn't the vain type of guy. But later, it was written, that he had black hair. And I have some more situations. That makes it really confusing, when you try to figure out which look is the true one.
Otherwise, the epilogue was pretty short. I would have like to see what they are working now and how they arranged their lives. Some everyday stuff. But it wasn't only mentioned the smutty stuff. I wasn't happy about that.
As always Evie surprises us with this wonderful story, which grabs you from beginning to end. It's not the typical story of a throuple in the Omegaverse. Adelyn's Omega designation comes late and in the society in which she lives, by law, Omegas must choose in a camp, two Alphas to share their life. They will protect them from the dangers lurking beneath the surface due to rougue mutant alphas. At the camp Adelyn chooses Bash and Rhylon, whom she gradually comes to love. Bash is a soul damaged by the circumstances of his childhood and bears physical marks that have caused other omegas to discard him. This has triggered Bash to be distrustful and sour tempered, but underneath that abrasive attitude, hides a delicious cinnamon roll Alpha. Rhylon is young and charming. He has an immediate connection with Adelyn. He acts as a peacemaker and gets Bash to lower his defenses and open himself to the possibility of loving and being loved. Rhylon is a breath of fresh air and it's impossible not to qualify him as the perfect Alpha we all wish we had. Simply a must read!

Adelyn is a newly presented omega and she now has to go to Alpha Island to choose her two mates, I liked this part a lot. On her way on the transfer shuttle she spots a newly presented alpha that she can’t stop looking at. She hopes that he is one of the alphas to choose from. As she starts screening the alphas none are catching her attention until Bash, an older alpha with lots of scars on the inside and out. There is something about him and she picks him as her first mate. As the alphas continue she gets a little discouraged until Rhylon, the alpha from the transfer shuttle, appears. She picks him as her second mate. From here they get to spend two weeks together to see if they will be the right fit, if not she can choose again.
I really enjoyed this book, I love Omegaverse and it’s refreshing to read a new twist in this world. Lots of steam, action and sexual angst kept me turning the pages until the very end.
This was a quick, sweet, super steamy read. 🔥🔥🔥 I'm not a throuple fan, so I'm not sure I'll read any others, but this was a very good story! I love Adelyn & her nervousness turned confidence, Rhylon and his playful demeanor, Bash and his bruised soul. I love how they are together, how Adelyn & Rhylon help heal Bash's heart & teach him to love!
Bash does get a bit blindsided by his feelings for Rhylon. Even after finding out they're all fated mates, he struggles. This felt real to me, and not in any way negative. He communicates his feelings & concerns, and Rhy & Ade help guide him through those feelings, supporting him & making sure he feels safe in their love.
Anyway, I happily enjoyed this particular throuple.
The book has a great story line and I found the history and science behind the alphas & omega. BUT, several times later in the book (maybe after page 100 or so) the scenes didn't make sense. For example, a scene will be laid out and the something will happen and complete change the events without explanation and act like that's how out was the whole time. Maybe rushed/ bad editing. I was still able to follow the story but has to reread several scenes to make sure I didn't miss something. Out to way room the pace and enjoyment but still loved out. The intimate scenes were plentiful and amazing. I never got tired of it! I would love to see a follow up to this story though. :-)
This book brings the heat! Evie Burks draws the reader into this world where Omegas are in constant danger from rogue alphas, forcing them to have two mates by law now. It's very easy to visualize what is happening in the story with such detailed writing. I really enjoyed witnessing the connection form between Adelyn and her mates and the roughness of Bash complements the gentleness of Rhylon beautifully. The steamy scenes were truly spicy and I can't wait to see more of this group and how they adjust to life in the city.
I didn't feel like there was much depth or balance between this throuple. I felt like Adelyn was more into Rhylon. She was way more flirty and attentive towards him. I felt like Bash was an afterthought for her. She didn't even bother to build a connection with him. She looked at him with pity majority of them time. There were number of times when Bash expressed his insecurities but Adelyn barely did anything to reassure him. It felt like Rhylon was doing all the reassurance and was way more concerned about Bash.
