I really enjoyed this read. A decent reflection piece to read before or after a season that provides plenty of insight on less tangible elements of distance coaching. I was hoping for a little bit more insight on training methods, but I can’t fault the book for not being something it didn’t claim to be in the first place. Overall, a solid read for anyone starting or re-evaluating their program.
I spent much of the book wondering about HIIT. It took me up until the last quarter of the book to realize that it was just another term for high-quality strides.
