Bloom Sisters #7

Dancing with Dandelion

Rate this book
They can’t agree on anything—except that the job comes first.

Dandelion “Andi” Bloom has sacrificed a lot for her career in the Army. Now that she’s retired, playing security guard at Bloom’s Farm for high-profile events is a welcome change of pace. That is, until hosting a string of political events means working with a Secret Service detail – including a certain special agent she would have rather left behind in Virginia.

Special Agent Ross McClain takes his job seriously. Even if he has to come to Middle of Nowhere, Indiana to work events for the vice presidential candidate. On Bloom’s Farm, Ross runs into a familiar—and unwelcoming—face. Could this assignment get any worse?

Despite their mutual disdain, Andi and Ross must work together to provide security for the farm and the candidate. As the assignment goes on, it becomes impossible not to clash over every decision—and even harder to deny their growing chemistry.

Dancing with Dandelion is Book 6 in the Bloom Sisters Series. This small town, family saga is full of heartwarming themes, swoony-worthy kisses, and sweet happy endings.

Dancing with Dandelion is the final book in the ‘Bloom Sisters’ series and it was a great ending. I loved Ross and Andy’s story, and it was great to see where all the Bloom siblings ended up. This entire series has been great, and I’m glad I read it! I’ll be reading more from this author in the future.

I loved everything about this book! Andi and Ross’s story had me invested and also kept me on my toes! They had the best chemistry! Andi was self sufficient and Ross was a confident and flirty charmer who like to push her buttons! You could feel the romantic tension between these two from their very first interaction! These two were sparks and fireworks every time they were together and it was perfection! There was a bit of a mystery and some danger in this story which is the perfect set up for Tara’s upcoming suspense series! I loved the family dynamic and return characters as always, but I loved that Andi paved her own path! The faith elements in this book were bold and I really identified with Andi and Ross as they struggled with giving control to God and having faith in Him to work things out. It’s sad to be leaving this family series behind! It’s been fun to read each of these stories and watch this fictional family grow! The epilogue was the perfect ending to this series and might just bring a happy tear or two to your eyes if you are a fan of this series!

If it keeps you up half the night, you know it’s a good one.
Tara nailed it! The suspense was perfectly balanced with the rest of the family as well as Dandelion and Ross. I really enjoyed seeing Poppy and Harrison have such a major role in the story. I really liked how I saw them together and also individually.
Andi and Ross were so fun. I really enjoyed seeing them at the beginning of the story when they couldn’t stand each other and on as they became friends and that eventually led to more.
I highly recommend this whole series to anyone looking for clean Christian contemporary sure to keep you engrossed.

I started reading this book just to get an idea of what it may be about, with the intention of starting at the being of the series and reading in sequence.... mistake! I was so hooked that I read to 50% in first sitting and decided I'd finish it and just read it again when I read the series in sequence!

I really enjoyed the banter between Andi and Ross, and the development of the relationship. Overall it's a well written book, with fun well developed characters who let God direct them (lovely emphasis of God being in control).

This was a wonderful way to end this lovely series. I was super excited to see that Andi was finally getting her own book, and it was just as good as I had hoped. Dancing with Dandelion is the sixth and final book in Tara Grace Ericson’s Bloom Sisters series.
Andi was definitely a fun character, she was spunky and fierce. I actually don’t usually like these kinds of characters, but I adored Andi. She was a hard worker and she loved her family. I liked reading about Andi as she tried to find her place in life, she was leaving the Army and starting out again. It was sweet to read about her interacting with her family and learning to trust God with her life plans. I loved her interactions with Ross, they were so much fun together. Andi was a stubborn woman and she had to learn to let Ross in, learning that God is the one in control of all.
Ross was also a great character. He came off as more of a jerk at first, but once I got to read more about him I ended up really liking him. He was kind and determined. He was a Secret Service agent and he understood that his job was to protect those under his care. He was strong and capable but he also had to learn to be still and trust God. I liked reading about Ross as he fell for Andi and as he learned that he didn’t need to go through life alone.
Andi and Ross were great characters and I enjoyed reading about them falling in love. They were more enemies to lovers, but it never felt hostile. I liked how they were able to be professional and yet they still said how they felt. They were a really great match. The plot was also interesting, Andi and Ross had to work together to protect Andi’s family on the farm. I liked how Ericson was able to weave in the suspense without changing the genre or the feel of the series. I could not put this book down, I was really interested in finding out what was going to happen next.
I loved the cameos of old characters, the Bloom family is always so much fun to read about. I also saw hints of a new series and I am so excited to see what else Ericson will write. Dancing with Dandelion was a great book and I would definitely recommend it! Dancing with Dandelion is a clean contemporary christian book with a bit of suspense.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.

How is this darling series already over? It couldn't have been almost 2 years already since beginning the series..could it?

I have loved being able to follow along with the author as she's written, released, promoted and chatted about every book in the Bloom Sisters series. A Date for Daisy was my favorite of the series, I loved the banter between Lance and Daisy and I just really loved how their story turned out. But, I probably should be talking about Dancing with Dandelion since that's the book I'm supposed to be reviewing ;P

Dandelion Bloom, strong and independent for so long, not trying to find love but just so happens to find it when she least expects it. Ross McClain, both as independent and strong as Andi, can't seem to get the beautiful, yet moody, blonde Sargent Major out of his head. When they are forced to work together can they put aside their feelings of frustration, attraction, and fighting for control aside and tackle the challenge ahead?

Though this book wasn't my favorite in the series I still rather enjoyed the clean and easy read that it was. I did feel like the romance moved a little too fast, from frustration to love. I would've liked to have seen a bit more length in the tension that enemies to more story lines bring, but I still liked Andi and Ross' characters and their story. One of my favorite parts of the book was the Epilogue. I LOVE how the author went through and touched on every siblings life and I loved Mama (Laura) Bloom's speech at the end. The series was ended perfectly, in my opinion, with a lovely romance for Dandelion and a sweet epilogue. Well done to Tara! I am very happy to have discovered your stories. <3

#BookReview : DANCING WITH DANDELION by Tara Grace Ericson

“It’s not only my honor on the line if something were to happen. It’s also your heart. And I would never let anything hurt you.”

I have been anticipating reading Dandelion’s story. Though she prefered to be called Andi. She just got out of the army and was back home at Bloom’s Farm.

Ross and Andi’s first meeting was interesting. It was a dance but not like any other dance. Well if you call “katas” a dance. Kata refers to a detailed choreographed pattern of martial arts movements. It was intense but lots of chemistry. The banter of this enemies to lovers story was so much fun. Their strong personalities clashed a number of times as they tried to protect Andi’s brother in law. A job that’s very close to her heart.

I have always looked forward to the epilogues in this series and this one was extra special. Laura’s heartfelt POVs were always good. This time, I got to revisit all of the Bloom siblings and their life updates. It’s the perfect final book in the series.

If you enjoy clean small town romance, Christian themes of trusting God’s plans in your life, suspense and family dynamics, this one’s for you.

What a wonderful story to end the Bloom Sisters series! I really loved this story! Ross and Andi and how their relationship developed, reconnecting with all of the Bloom family members, and the little taste of Ms. Ericson’s upcoming romantic suspense series were the highlights of this story for me. Dancing with Dandelion is definitely my favorite of this series!

One of my biggest pet peeves is an unlikeable snarky heroine, so I wasn’t sure I was going to like Andi, at first. Thanks to the perfect banter between her and Ross, their amazing chemistry, and Ross with his flirty ways, I ended up really liking her and their relationship! I loved every second they were on the page together!

I loved how faith was woven in to this story. It felt natural and real. I also really loved the epilogue of this story! It was unique in that we got to visit with each sibling and catch up on what was happening in their lives. I am really looking forward to reading Ms. Ericson’s next series!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. The faith thread is medium.

Dandelion, who was called Andi by her mom, was one of six daughters. She told her mom that when she graduated, she wanted to join the Army instead of going to college. She assured her mom that she had been praying about it and felt led by God to do this.

Andi was getting ready to retire and move back home. She had spent the last six years in Alexandria, VA. She met Ross at Alexandria martial Aarts where she had been training. They had a sparring match and went their separate ways.

Andi was going to be running security at the farm when she got back home. One of her brothers-in-law, Harrison Coulter, was a Governor who was going to be a running mate for the lady who was running for President. They would need extra security at the farm and everywhere the Governor travelled. That would mean bringing in the Secret Service. Guess who was in charge of the Secret Service team? Yep, it was Ross. This is where the plot thickens, and the action begins.

I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.

Dandelion "Andi" Bloom has put in her 20 years with the Army and is ready to settle back home at Bloom's Farm. It seems like the thing to do, right? She's ready to spend time with her sisters and nieces and nephews. The farm could use a security upgrade, and she has some ideas about opening a martial arts studio.

Before she leaves Virginia, she meets Ross McClain. He's self-assured and knows how to handle himself, but with Andi about to move to Indiana, she sees no need to let the Secret Service agent become part of her life.

But when Andi's brother-in-law is named as a vice presidential candidate, suddenly a Secret Service detail is needed at the farm, and who should show up but Ross McClain. The two butt heads as much as always, but there's no one Andi would rather have on their side.

As threats against her brother-in-law begin to threaten her family and their livelihood, Andi and Ross must work together to keep everyone safe, sort out their feelings for each other, and find direction for the future.

This book wraps up the Bloom Sisters series, and I could also tell it sets up future series that the author will be releasing. This book was different in tone, as it is more of a suspense novel, and I appreciated a bit of an older hero and heroine. If you've been reading the Bloom Sisters series, you definitely won't want to miss this.

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Great final book in this series by Tara Grace Ericson. Andi Bloom returned to the family farm after retiring from the Army, and heads security for the farm entities. When her brother in law runs for Vice President, the head of his Secret Service detail is non other than Ross McClain whom she had met briefly before leaving the army. The plot develops as they butt heads and work together. Issues of what to do next in each of their lives, and her trusting in her feelings are also developed. An uplifting book and it definitely has my recommendation for reading.

This book can be read as a stand-alone in the series.
Andi is retiring from the Army and heading home to work security on the family farm.
Ross is a secret service agent. When they meet at their dojo, Andi is Not impressed with him. She thinks he’s egotistical and doesn’t take life seriously. Big surprise when Ross shows up to protect her brother-in-law. Can they get past their feelings and work together?

I'll be honest with you here. I was a bit emotional ending this series. As a mom I have to admit that my favorite parts to this story are the prologue and epilogue written by Laura Bloom, the matriarch of the family. The epilogue had me tearing up! I'm really going to miss the Bloom family. I'm glad I can revisit them any time in their stories.

Andi has been quite the enigma to me. We haven't really gotten to know her outside of her doing a video call with the family in the other stories. She felt so different that the rest of the Bloom sisters. Even through the video calls I got the sense she was a bit standoff-ish.

So, when we meet her, she's exactly how I expect her. HA! She's definitely not touchy feely. She rubs people the wrong way until she gets to know them better and once she lets them in, then they're good to go! Ross, who is Secret Service shows up on the scene and she is NOT having it. HA! Their give and take is so funny. Ross likes to push her buttons and I have to admit, it amused me to no end.

Ross is serious like Andi, but he does have a softer, more humorous side than Andi. I appreciated how tenacious Ross was with her. And that God also has a sense of humor in bringing them together to work to protect Harrison and Poppy as he runs as the VP candidate.

It was so easy to see how frustrating it must be for someone like Andi who craves control to not have it when Ross is the boss. I could see myself in her character. BUT, I liked how she works through giving that control over to God. That really spoke to me.

Speaking of God, That the author never shies away from her characters having a deep faith is something I truly am thankful for! It's clearly important to the entire family as well as the people they become interested in. I love it when characters pray (thanks to the author)!

If you want a family to fall in love with that has romance, angst, and faith then you'll want to get to know the Bloom siblings!

*I received this book for review. This is my personal opinion.

I have recently been introduced to this author and the Bloom Sisters series and am totally loving it! With just one book, I have fallen in love with this family. I'm a little upset that I've started at the end, but as soon as I get a chance, I'm going to fix that and will be going back and reading all the previous books I've missed.
This is the story of the sixth Bloom sister, Dandelion, also known as Andi. She has now come back to the family farm after retiring from the Army and heads up the security. She had met Ross back when she was training and had then gone their separate ways, but now their paths cross again. The chemistry between these two was amazing and I really enjoyed the dialogues they shared. The romantic tension between these two was clear from the very start. I also liked the mystery and suspense aspect of the story, which really kept me glued. It was so hard to put the book down! Andi and Ross really grew throughout the story and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and come together. The story was entertaining and engaging and it was really easy to get to know and love the characters. Ms Ericson did a great job of bringing the story and characters to life. Their emotions and struggles really become your own as you read their story.
A really fantastic book I would definitely recommend!

Dancing with Dandelion by Tara Grace Ericson is the seventh and FINAL book in The Bloom Sisters series. (Cue the tears!) I have absolutely loved getting to know each and every one of the Bloom sisters and their stories. The Bloom Family farm is such a charming place, I’m a bit sad I won’t get to visit as frequently. (Although I’m hoping there will be a few trips to the family farm in the next series.)
Andi (Dandelion) is one of the sisters we don’t get to know as well during the other books because she is away in the Army, but like all the others, I enjoyed getting to know her no-nonsense, tough-as-nails personality. I loved her mental and physical strength but also her deep faith and trust in God.
And enemies to more troupe? Yes, please! The tension and bantering between Ross and Andi were fun and lead perfectly to more flirtatious interactions. I loved when they sparred with each other–even off the mats!
I loved the extra action in this story by bringing Harrison’s political career into the mix. I thought it was a perfect end to the series having everyone so involved in the book.
Overall, I loved this story. I highly recommend this series. If you are looking for sweet/clean contemporary romance with inspirational themes and wonderful characters, then The Bloom Sister’s series is it!

Dancing with Dandelion is definitely an example of an author saving the best for last. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the entire Bloom family during this series and reading Dandelion's story was a tad bittersweet. I have been looking forward to her story for quite some time so was excited to dive right in, but also knowing this was the last one was a bit sad. Devoted readers of the series will appreciate the family updates throughout the book as well as a heartfelt epilogue.

I loved watching the relationship develop between Andi and Ross seeing as how they did not quite hit it off in the beginning is putting it mildly. Andi retires from the military and goes home to work security at Bloom farm and Ross is a secret service agent assigned to protect Poppy's husband as he runs for vice president. The aspect of the book I think I liked the most was the bit of suspense surrounding who was behind a series of threats to Poppy's husband during the election. It was fun to watch Ross and Andi spring into action to get to the bottom of what was going on. This got me excited for this author's next series as she delves into writing some romantic suspense with an added bonus of more Ross and Andi in those stories.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I binge-read this series and looked forward to Dandelion (aka Andi) getting her own story. She appeared in earlier books mostly on the phone or on short visits but she was the only Bloom sibling who left the farm to have a different lifestyle in the military. In her book, Dancing With Dandelion, her life is in transition as she is retiring from the service and returning home while she regroups and figures out what she is going to do next. For now she is in charge of security at Bloom Farm and she is annoyed when an old nemesis, Ross, shows up to run Secret Service protection for her brother-in-law and sister while he runs for Vice-President of the USA. There was an element of suspense as Ross and Andi worked together to figure out who was threatening the future VP. This faith-based book also contained a romance that was not easily won since neither was inclined to trust others easily but it ended with the promise of a future together (and a new series of books in which Andi and Ross will appear). I really enjoyed the book as well as the series and while this book could be read as a standalone, I recommend that you read the whole series in order to fully enjoy it. I received an ARC and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.

Andi is just unlikable

I will start by saying I mostly enjoyed the other books in this series. This one, I had to literally plod through. The only redeeming thing for me in this book was the epilogue. Andi was rude, a control, freak, abrasive,… I have no idea what Ross saw in her. I don’t know why some authors seem to equate strength in women as rudeness. Someone over 30 years old should know how to control her emotions enough to be at least polite to people. I have very strong, athletic, brilliant sons, and I will tell you right now they would not take a second look at someone as abrasive and rude as Andi. I also have beautiful, strong daughters, who know how to stand up for themselves. They are also wise, have discretion, and know how to be polite even to people that they don’t necessarily get along with. Strength does not equate to rudeness. Quite the opposite! There was just nothing about Andi that was likable.

Andi is retiring from the army and headed home to work security on the family farm. She knows that this won't be an all consuming job, so she is looking for what God also would have her do. Before leaving VA to move home, she briefly meets Ross. They bump heads - as 2 strong willed people will do.

Andi moves home and learns that her brother-in-law will be running for Vice President. Ross is the secret service agent in charge of his detail. When they first start working together, it is very bumpy, but they know they have to work together to keep her sister, brother-in-law and kids safe.

Great book with lots of banter between Andi and Ross.

This is the first book I have read of the series, and while there were clear references to other characters and an update on all the family in the epilogue, I still enjoyed reading it as the story was 'self contained' (but now plan on going back and reading all of them). I loved the interaction between Andi and Ross - 2 strong characters (each used to working independently and being in control) both having to learn to listen to the other and not insist on everything their way, together being a great team once they worked through some clashes! Great characters, good plot and I can't wait til the spin off series. I received an arc but this review is my own.

This is the last book in this series and I like the way everything wraps up. The author created an interesting world for her characters to live in and this story has a good flow. I enjoyed reading about Dandelion and how she was trying to figure out what to do with her life after retiring from the army. I loved how she goes home and then you hear about all the other characters from all the other books in the series. There is elements of mystery, romance, and a little suspense that really adds to this story. I was able to enjoy this story even though I haven't read the others in the series yet.

Dancing with Dandelion

This is another good installment to the Bloom Sisters series. Andi, or Dandelion as her mom and dad call her, has been in the service for 20 years and is now retiring to return to the farm. Before leaving she meets Ross McClain at the dojo where she teaches then again in the home improvement store. When Harrison is chosen to run for Vice President his security detail assigned by the secret service includes Ross as the leader. Andi has become the security detail for the farm. There is a hate/love vibe going on in the battle for control between the two. Be sure to pick up a copy to read.

The epilogue was the icing on the cake of this sweet series. Beautiful. I adore Laura and the author’s note that her character is mom goals is so relatable.

Andi and Ross had a lot to work through together and with themselves. They are both control freaks (also relatable) and it causes them to butt heads a lot. Ross has some stuff in his past that he still struggles with guilt over. Andi struggles with believing that she can be taken seriously and that her opinions and experience/knowledge are valued. It was nice to see them work through those things with honest and up front communication. And I loved the message about letting go and trusting God.

For some reason I read this book before I read the others in the series. I enjoyed it but I do wish I had done as I usually do on series which is binge read in order, if they are all out. If I start on Book 1 and Book 2 isn’t out, I’m afraid I’m one of those readers that sit drumming my fingers until the next one is ready. I enjoyed Dandelion’s story so much that I am now going to back to binge read the others. Tara Grace Ericson manages to show that even strong, brave women occasionally need someone else and that isn’t a bad thing. Can’t wait to go back and read the rest of the family’s stories.

I liked this book. This is the first book in the series that I have read and now I want to read about the other sisters. I liked how strong the female main character was. i like how the main characters butted heads but as they got to know each other and worked together, they found out the they were good for each other. I thought this was a really good book.

A compelling and inspirational story. Andi (Dandelion) and Ross both have trouble surrendering control to God. I loved watching this relationship develop despite both wanting to be the one in control. This is the last book in the series, but a complete standalone. If you don’t want to know how the other stories end, then read them in order. I really enjoyed this one.
