Good beginner guide to real estate investing, focusing on small steps and mindset. Not extremely helpful for those with multiple years of experience.

Liked it. Comparing to the classic one from Turner “The book on rental property investing”, this book is more modern and has good suggestions on software and apps that can help in different phases. I still recommend the Turner book, though, especially for the chapter on interviewing property management companies. Turner provides a list of questions to ask which is very helpful. Ashley here only gives a high level idea of the questions, instead of the actual questions.

I greatly appreciated parts of this book and gained some knowledge from it, but I never became more motivated or felt any kind of push to go out and start real estate investing. There were tons of tips and advice, but the book seemed to be missing something to really call it great. Some topics were excessively detailed and others were skimmed over.

Throughout the book she tells her experiences, explains stategies and concepts, gives her opinions, gives you homework, recommends apps. You can refer to the bonus files she created. This is a book that I'll refer back often.
