After a Christmas Eve blizzard snows the town in, tearoom assistant Charlotte Cradduck is expecting a quiet Christmas with her best friend Will.
However the shy Charlotte is horrified to learn that not only is Will staying with his large and exuberant family, they are also hosting their extended relations this holiday.
As the two friends slowly realise they have fallen for each other, will they confess their feelings? Or does Will’s well-meaning family or ambitious ex eventually drive them apart?
3.5 stars. This was a free download for my Kindle. I wanted a short Christmas story, and this book did come up when I searched Free Christmas short stories on Amazon. A little quirky, but funny. I did have a hard time keeping all of Will’s family straight and trust me, there’s a lot of family members.
Another free Kindle read. It may be January, but I didn't get a chance to delve int0 any Christmas reads so here I am in January taking my chance now. I loved this one. It is a novella/short story so it's very easy to fly through. I loved the humour and the craziness of Will's family. Their extreme levels of Christmas cheer, but also the knowing glances and comments of what Charlotte has not yet realised about Will's love for her. Just a cute, festive romance right when I needed one. I honestly just wanted it to be longer, I wasn't ready for it to end.
Sweet Holiday story about two young people who have been friends for years, but suddenly things take a turn. When a snow storm prohibits Charlotte from going home for Christmas, she is invited to her friend Will’s family. Feeling that she is with her “friend“ Charlotte enjoys the festivities. Despite the fact she gets the vibe his family thinks they are more than friends. When Will’s ex girlfriend shows up, and tries to patch things up with him, Charlotte realizes she has stronger feelings than friendship for the man. A predictable ending but it was fun getting there.
