“Christians and other people of good will are longing for a response that can lead the way out of the divisiveness and vitriol of our times. I wrote this book to provide some assistance to readers to discern a way out of the toxicity in which we live, and to stimulate courage and hope so that all people can see the age in which we live more clearly and respond with the grace necessary to follow more fully the call God has spoken―a missionary call to deepen Christ’s incarnational movement in our world.” Fr. Robert Aaron Wessman
This is a great book for ministers of any denomiation (though written from a Catholic point of view). The focus on the reality of our Church and politics is examined, and named for what it is, and solutions are based on solid theology and pastoral practice. I would recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to make the world more civilized and sees the practice and ministry of Jesus as a model.
This book is spot on for our Country right now and for me. I feel hopeful that the differences among us don’t have to divide us. It spoke to me about being more engaging and asking questions to those whose opinions and beliefs differ from me, although I have never been a question asker type person for the fact it seems to bring up conflict but have a new perspective on how to go about it now.
