Nicole, por qué me haces esto.
Mira, sinceramente tenía unas ganas de coger el libro y tirarlo por la ventana.. que no son medio normales cuando estoy leyendo una obra que en el lomo pone 'Nicole Jordan'. Me ha dolido.

Aquí tenemos la historia de Lauren y Jason. Lauren tiene una familia de mierda, para abreviar, así que se escapa de casa y se mete en el barco de Jason, sin saber que él es el prometido del que quiere huir. Después de una serie de contratiempos, se casan y ella huye, dejándolo a él con un palmo de narices. Orgullo de macho herido. Y entonces ella se va a USA y él la encuentra. Y personalmente... si ya venía contenta del libro anterior de Nicole Jordan, aquí tenemos una FUCKING MARAVILLA de escena dónde el protagonista trata a Lauren como a una puta de una manera bastaaaaaaaaante humillante.
1. Dar por hecho que ella se ha metido a puta sin preguntar, y tratarla como a una mujerzuela -que aunque lo fuera merecería respeto igualmente- pues está muy feo.
2. Ponerse celoso como un macho cabrío porque otros hombres la hayan tocado, tratarla como mercancía usada y ofrecerle dinero por acostarse contigo... pues tampoco es muy romántico
3. Ponerse como un energúmeno cuando ella POR FIN consigue hacerte abrir esas orejitas para que entiendas que NO ES PUTA... pues tampoco es bien

Y bueno, a partir de ahí todo es un tono entre insistencia por su parte. Ella negándose. Dramas. Problemas, más insistencia. Cae en sus redes, porque es un amante maravilloso y hay muchísima atracción fatal -que yo no la encontré porque él me parece idiota y ella es tonta- pero bueno... y tal pascual, y se enamoran, y son felices. Y lo siento pero no. No compro esto porque no hay por dónde pillarlo.

2 "I hate annoying heroine" Stars

woah woah woah!!!! that was one selfish bitch and so bloody annoying, i wanted to hurl my Ipad accross the room every time she opened her mouth.

Agreed, this was written in late 1980's and agreed heroines were all supposed to act a little bit that way.But is it my cup of tea?? O Hell No!!

I like Historical Romance better than anything, but this one left a sour taste. Hated it, and didnt wanna add one more book to my DNF list, thinking she may redeem herself in my eyes in the end may be. So went on..

I have read Nicole Jordan's other books in the past, mostly HR's, but for now am done. :(

El libro me gustó, no lo voy a negar, salvo algunas cosas que me sacaban, algunos de los malentendidos eran bastantes innecesarios o al menos eran exasperantes porque demostraban, al menos en Lauren que era una inmadura, aunque Stuart también tenía sus momentos WTF me gustó muchísimo más el , al menos el luchaba por ganarse la confianza de ella, no se que mas quería que el tipo le demostrará su amor!! Osea amiga date cuenta! Me gustaba salvo algunas veces como la trataba! Era un amor el tipo! a mi los dramazos me encantan pero cuando ya rallan en lo constante de la trama, ya me saca, las constantes huidas de ella me volvían loca y el tira y afloja me provocaba meterle una piña, Lauren no me gustó para nada, yo si pude sentir que el se enamoro de ella, o bueno ambos lo hicieron, como dije la historia en sí me gusto, le sacaría par de escenas y me concentraria en darle un mejor final, no puedes terminar una novela medianamente buena con ese final de ella recordando porque de su trauma, noooo, fue patético ese final, además de apresurado. En un futuro me parece que leere algo más de esta autora a ver que tal

Really bad conflict resolution. Absolutely childish heroine with no character growth throughout the story, partly cuz she wasn't given enough space to grow mentally and was basically treated like a child throughout the story.

Me gusta esta autora por una serie de romance histórico que leí hace algunos años, pero este libro no me gustó ni una tercera parte, se me hizo cuesta arriba, la protagonista me deseperó un 75% del tiempo, el chico era demasiado ¿enamorado? y tanta descripción hizo que perdiera el hilo un par de veces. Lo interesante fue la intriga que hay detrás de todo desde un principio y que no termina de calzar hasta el capítulo final.

Me gusta la forma en que Nicole Jordan relata a sus personajes y sus historias... Pero este libro en particular no me gustó, la historia en si era buena y los personajes se desenvolvían muy bien.. Pero principalmente la protagonista me sacaba de quicio ! Era más que todo una chiquilla inmadura... Hubo un momento del libro en el que se perdía la idea de donde comenzaron... Es bueno pero no increíble

Same old, same old. Liked the New Orleans area and period setting. Too bad all the sex makes me roll my eyes. It seems to be repeated from one chapter to another. Guess all the guys are dead and gone and left no off-spring!
