How did my life end up like this?

I buried my old life a long time ago, when I thought the opportunity of a lifetime came along…so I thought. It seemed like fate, turns out whenever fate appears, it’s always the beginning of another nightmare. I should’ve known better. How did I not see that coming?

My life has changed, I have all the money I could ever want or need. But I’m stuck, controlled like a puppet. Stuck in a world of emptiness and that’s something money can’t fix.

They will never let me go…I’ve become too valuable.

Sam is the only one I will let in, because I’m forced to. More fate.

She’s sweet, smart, and supposed to keep me in line. She doesn’t know it yet but I’m about to be a part of her worst nightmare too.

*Note from author: This is book one of A Billionaire's Secrets Series and ends in a cliff hanger. Also, mature content.*

This book is a mind trip. As soon as you think you might have figured out where it is going it all takes a wicked turn that you didn’t see coming. This is Book 1 in the series and leaves you on a cliffhanger so be prepared to not know all by the end. Their is an bonus scene that helps shed some light but still leaves you with more questions then answers.

Caleb is ex special ops and he’s working for a mob family with his best fiend Max when he is approached by Liam Harrington with an offer to come work for him. The contract seems legit and is going to make him money but there are some strings that he’s not sure he can sign up for but he’s willing to have a change of scenery, so he agrees. He doesn’t know if New York is going to be any better but when he meets his PA Samantha things are starting to look up but he still has to deal with Ava (Liam’s daughter) and she not the most likable or friendly person but she’s part of the job so he does his best.

However, when his feelings for Samantha start to evolve Ava’s claws come out and he doesn’t know what to think or so. He’s been lured here and promised lots but is it worth losing Samantha. He’s in a tough spot and he doesn’t know what to do. His feelings for Sam are taking over his ability to think logically and when push comes to shove he’s going to protect her even if it puts himself and everything he agreed to in danger. This is a crazy tale and the questions are still unanswered but the wild is definitely worth it. Happy Reading!!

This book was different, and that's saying a lot. Let's just say that I went in it thinking yay, another arranged marriage, but I came out with something completely different! I can't say that I was impressed with the book, it was a nice read, but I was looking for a bit something else you know. It was interesting to see the book completely written from Caleb's point of view, and maybe because he's a bit of a robot the book was also a bit dry.

Now introduction of Sam to the story, I had mixed feelings about that. Honestly I still believe that something is wrong with that woman, and if I'm correct and we get that twist hell that would be amazing!

Overall, it's a nice book, just don't go in it expecting your normal arranged marriage, lots of spice (I was not even sure we would have spice in this book, but we thanksfully did, but once again it was kind of dry (probably because Caleb was the one describing it)). But do expect twists and turns that you wouldn't have even thought about! The book ends on a cliffhanger and I'm not sure when the second one is coming out!

Thanks to Booksprout and the author for a copy of this book. This was truly mind-boggling in all the right ways.

Caleb Winters is an ex-special-ops officer who was bored while working with a crime family. When Liam Harrington approaches him with an offer for him to fake-marry his daughter to advance her political career, Caleb accepts reluctantly. It is then that he meets his new PA, Sam Hayes, who seems to be everywhere at the right time.

I really liked Caleb's no-nonsense character. He was grumpy and stoic, he knew when to stand up for what he believed in, and he wasn't scared of talking back to Ava, Liam's daughter. Ava, on the other hand, was irritating as hell as she was furious one second and a humanrobot the other. Sam was bubbly and cheerful, but I had my doubts about her too. Won't give any spoilers if you haven't read the bonus scene of this book.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This has already piqued my interest.

Lured is the is book in a Billionaire's Secrets series. It is filled with danger, lies, secrets that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Caleb was ex-special ops, who was not thrilled with his job with the mafia. When another opportunity comes about, he knows it is too good to be true, but just maybe.

The opportunity Caleb signed up for is filled with tension, as he is to become husband to Ava, who is thriving to get into politics and moving up the chain fast. Thing is Ava is a prickly woman with a sharp toung and is determined to get what she wants.

Throw in an observant PA in Sam, who see Caleb for who he is and getting close, but this relationship will get in the way of plans.

This intense story has you stopping and wondering who to trust and what will happen next as it leaves you hanging.

Amazingly written and can't wait for the next part.

I don’t even know where to start. This book sounds so good in theory. Forced proximity? Yes! Arranged marriage? Double yes! But I’m lost as to where we are going with this story. The whole book is told from Caleb’s POV who is an ex-military, ex-street kid with minimal expressive feelings. He is approached by Liam who is the head of some sort of illegal front (which we don’t really get into) and he is contracted to marry his daughter, Ava. Who is also an emotion less jerk who appears to only want to build a political career. Ava and Caleb don’t get along period and then they through in some odd aspects to this story line. I don’t get what’s happening with Sam. I don’t get what’s going on with the contract. Since this is a duet, we can only hope that the second book will really paint that picture of what is really going on in this world with Caleb, Ava and Sam.

Caleb was ex-Ops and working for the mafia as a bodyguard with his best friend Max. He hated it and was totally bored. While working a fundraiser for the Machiavelli’s he is approached by a man offering him a job and gives him his card. After a few weeks he calls Liam Harrington, the billionaire. His daughter has political aspirations and needs a bodyguard/fake husband. Caleb has an uneasy feeling about this guy and the daughter. This is one very intriguing storyline with mystery, twists and turns, danger and suspense. The characters are well developed. Ava is a cold hearted calculating b*tch. I like Caleb’s no nonsense attitude with Ava. It does end on a cliffhanger.

Be ready for the big cliff at the end. I haven’t read this author before but figured I would give it a go. I enjoyed the story, but it sometimes left me wondering what the heck the idiot was thinking. He goes from one bad situation to another at least he knew he was going into the fire. Caleb does not care for Ava in the least and it shows. Throw Sam into the mix and things get interesting and dangerous. Caleb has just about enough of Ava and gives her what for not expecting the consequences of his actions. And there is that cliff I lead out with. Again, I did enjoy the story and I really need to know what happens next.

This was one of those books that was a stepping stone to what's likely to be a really good series. Most of the book was spent establishing the main players, distinguishing the good guys from the bad guys and setting the stage for what's to come next. So yeah, there's a major cliffhanger as the author indicates in the blurb! The relationship between Caleb and Sam, the main couple in the book, barely has time to get off the ground before the book ends but there's time for some romance and a little bit of spice before we're left hanging. I'm definitely going to continue on with book two because I have to see how this ends!.

This is the first in a new duet, and this does end in a cliffhanger. Caleb is ex-special forces, who is working for a crime family with his best friend, but he has been feeling restless. When Liam Harrington approaches Caleb with a proposition to help his daughter Ava advance her political career, he agrees, and then he meets Sam, his new pa, the sparks fly. This is a well written story which is a slow build, with twists, emotions, romance, an arranged marriage, and intrigue, which leads to an addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is the first duet in a new series, and it does leave you wanting more. Caleb, a former special forces member who now works with his best friend for a criminal family, has been feeling restless. Caleb accepts Liam Harrington's offer to help his daughter Ava advance her political career and then meets Sam, his new father, and sparks fly. This is a well-written story that builds slowly and has twists, emotions, romance, an arranged marriage, and intrigue, making it a page-turner that keeps you turning the pages. I can't wait to read more from this gifted writer, whose work I highly recommend.

Caleb Winters an ex-special ops man has been unhappy with his current employment with the mafia. He decides to take a contract to be a political candidate Ava’s husband and bodyguard. Her father sets him up as CEO of one of his companies and hires a personal assistant Sam to help him navigate the corporate world. A captivating story with the dynamics between bitchy wife and the live affair between Sam and Caleb. The book has a few twists and turns that keep you guessing where the story is going. It does end in a cliffhanger.

Hot damn - what an intriguing little story - well not so little actually - there's a LOT happening here and luckily the series is only just beginning.
First - if you HATE cliffhangers then you're gonna have to deal with it as this is worth the effort to put one book down and pick up the next.

Caleb - our H- is super appealing and of course being ex-special-ops makes him even more attractive (on paper). There's an interesting dynamic between the Caleb and the women in his life - get on board for this one - you'll enjoy the unfolding of it all!.

I love reading new authors and giving them a chance. So often, readers will stick with their favourite authors and only read what they put out, no matter the quality. For 2023 I committed to trying one new author a week.
This is book 1 in a duet that ends on a cliffhanger, so I am not sure how to fully rate this book/series yet. It is also told in only a single POV, the H. I am not a fan of cliffhangers, and I am not a fan of single POV. Other than those two big minuses, the characters were very dry, and the story moved at a snail's speed. I am hoping that Book 2 picks up and redeems the duet.

This was an odd yet compelling read. Caleb, ex-military turned bodyguard, is coasting along when he gets a new job offer that seems to be the usual rich arranged marriage. But it was so much more with odds twits, turns, and watching Caleb try to figure it was was hiding and really going on as he rolls with it all. It did keep me reading to see what was going to pop up next and what was everyone really hiding. Had to be something else and the twists were a bit fun to see when they popped up. All in all I enjoyed the story and want to see what happens next.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Sam and Caleb. The author does a great job developing the story and pulled me in with the danger and intrigue along with the secrets, lies and romance. She kept me glued to the pages right to the end and left me with wanting more with the cliffhanger ending. I'm looking forward to the next book.

This book started off a bit slow for my taste. However, as I got further into the storyline it really picked up the pace and had me hooked. Caleb took an odd job that had more twists and turns than he expected. Little does he know, he is being played from all sides. An arranged marriage for political gains, a little dark underworld, and a bit of romance thrown in…or is it? The cliffhanger of this story has me eagerly anticipating the next book of this series.

This books was one wild trip of a read and I’m not sure I have fully grasped my thoughts or feelings on it yet. I’m not really sure how I feel about all of the characters but I can tell you I am fully invested in seeing where the heck this is all headed because where I thought we were going is definitely not how this story is shaping up and I’m looking forward to reading book 2 when it becomes available.

Lured is the first book in the A Billionaire's Secrets series. It is a very promising book series. The storyline is compelling, with steamy romance and intense action. The characters are believable, and either you like them or you really dislike them. Some are a mystery. The story ends on a cliffhanger, making the next book in the series a must-read.

Lured introduces the characters and premise in this first book of The Billionaire’s Secret Series. It features the POV for Caleb, an ex-military bodyguard for a crime family who receives a surprising proposition from his boss. Just when it looks like everything is going fine for Caleb a major twist occurs with Sam. This book is a slow paced read which ends in a cliffhanger.

Usually in books where they end in a cliffhanger, it doesn't even have to be that good of a book for me to want to read the next one. For this... I just don't know. If you asked me anything about this book I would not be able to tell you because my mind was tripped but in like a bad way. It was hard to keep track of but it was still intriguing.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Caleb is definitely swoon worthy. The dynamics between the characters are fabulous. Even the ones you hate. I did read the bonus scene (there's a link at the end of the book for Sam's Secret) and it was so worth it! I was like...whoa! It explains more about the Sam dynamic. The book does end in a cliff hanger but it's fine by me. I cannot wait for book 2! So good!

Wow, what a different start to a romance! It was super unique him getting hired to pretend to be hers! I was so interested to see where their story was going to go.
I very much enjoyed this plot! All that touch and go, was entertaining. I’ve never read anything like it. Then the ending! Wow, talk about being thrown for a loop…

Really?

I almost dumped this at 35%. Should have. Not only is the premise ridiculous, but for most of this it is boring as can be. Then the last 2-3 chapters something happens that leads to a cliffhanger? Don’t waste your time, I wasted mine.

He just wants out of the job he’s found himself and in and the offer seems like a cake walk. It’s less than that, and then there’s his PA…what could possibly go wrong?!?

This story seems straight forward in the surface but the more you read the more complex it gets. I loved it!!
