Jack was working his way into a legit life, trying to prove he wasn’t the same man that he was before the MC went straight. The same week that a stray Jack Russell shows up at his shop, he runs into the woman he secretly crushed on for years. The only problem…she was his best friend’s little sister. Even if she wasn’t, she was too good for someone like him.
Martha just got back to her hometown, Steely Ridge, after a year away to get some distance between her and her ex. When she bumps into her brother’s best friend, feelings of swooning over the hot biker revisit, but it didn’t matter…it was her brother’s best friend, and she wasn’t his type.
After a few flirty encounters, she called on Jack to be her pretend boyfriend when her ex showed up at a local concert. When her brother saw them hugged up, they were both left squirming.
Awesome Start To A New Series! Brother's Best Friend Trope Yes, Please!! Making the Cut was so much more than expected.. I loved how this Motorcycle Club was different from most clubs, they Actively help the Community in so many different ways, while still protecting them. Jack and Martha were so Adorable. Jack has been Best Friends with Martha's Brother since childhood. Both had feelings as adults but never acted on them. Martha has just gotten back to her hometown after spending a year in New Zealand. They have a few flirty encounters and Martha runs into her ex at a local concert, so she asks Jack to be her pretend Boyfriend and Oh My How The Sparks Fly.. The Spice is Oh So Good. I feel in love with sweet dog Cutter, he was a precious part of the story too. I'm so Excited for the next book in this series. Definitely Your Next 5 ⭐ Read..
This was short and quick read. Super sweet MC romance without any club bunny drama, or any action/suspense. Although I do enjoy the darker MC’s that have the danger and suspense, this was a nice change. I enjoyed the brothers best friend trope, and thought Jack was a really sweet guy. I equally enjoyed Martha’s character as well. And I can’t forget the incredibly sweet, adorable little Jack Russel pup!
This is bikers meet sweet romcom romance novella. The motorcycle club in steely ridge is different from most clubs they are there to help the community. Jack is a member of the mc club alone with his best friend Mason. Martha is Mason little sister who been away abroad who recently return. When she runs in to Jack sparks fly. This sweet sexy romcom will have you comming back for more.
Making the cut is a steamy motorcycle club novella. It falls into the brother’s best friend/ best friend sister, motorcycle, and small-town romance tropes. It takes place over a span of a few days where Jack and Martha reconnect after life has gotten in the way. While most of the novella is build up the spicy scene is in deed spicy! It’s short and sweet, perfect for an afternoon where you want to finish what you read.
The very first page of this book had me giggling! This is a fun and fast paced story with brother’s best friend trope. Plus who doesn’t love a good MC book?! I love how attached he got to Cutter and that Martha was the one to name him for Jack. The scene at the concert with Martha and her ex was hilarious 😆 I loved that! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Short and sweet. Brother’s best friend romance. Irritating, rude ex-boyfriend shows up to move things along. This couple is destined to be together. It’s just a matter of them figuring it out and making it happen. Cute story with a happy ending. And it’s got a cute little dog in it!
Watch your triggers first off! I just love brothers best friend romances. I love them even more when they are all full of smut. If only they had admitted their feelings to each other sooner. But I need to know what is in stored for this couple next. Very well write as well!
Jack and Martha are amazing! This sweet little MC romance was exactly what I just needed to read! You get Jack a big tattooed biker who has been in love with his best friends sister for years and Martha who has been in love with her brothers best friend for years. Plus Cutter, Jack’s cute little puppy. I swear this book was adorable and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the MC!
I’m sad this is just a novella! I could read so much more of Jack and Martha. They’re both fabulous and Jack is *perfect*. Seriously. April D Berry knows how to write the perfect man who says the perfect things. So swoonworthy! Loved every second! Def going to read the next two in the series, hopefully today!
Seriously, I'm worried for the FMC's health! She keeps leaking everywhere and at every time!!! Some plumber should really fix that, I bet she's spent her life dehydrated.
Aside from the FMC's health problem that keeps spoiling clothes and staining surfaces, the book was too tacky, even for the genre.
This is a short, best friend's little sister, motorcycle club, rom-com. It features a reformed MC and the cutest little dog, and the first few lines had me laughing out loud.
This is a quick read, but a bit of a slow burn, and I really enjoyed it. It's the perfect palate cleanser between long and angst filled romances, and I'll be sure to add the rest of the series to my TBR.
It was short but it was fantastic! You got to know the characters right off. Their feelings and their thoughts and it was super hot. As a first book that I've read of hers I enjoyed it highly recommend.
Been having trouble reading lately due to stress, but I always love April's books, so decided to give a new one a go. Quick read, finished in less than an hour. A good way to start my Sunday.
I’ve been reading a lot of longer books and needed a break. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a minute and it came at the perfect time. The story itself is a good one. They still have little bumps to get over but nothing they can’t do.
I don't know how the author manages to make sweet and steamy work together, but I am here for it. Brothers best friend, MC that went legit, swoon and swoon. Heading over for book 2 now. Highly recommend!!!
This book is not for me. the sex Scene was awful. Spongy is not a word I would use in a sex scene. This story had potential but unfortunately it fell short.
