Leslie Boxe wasn't prepared for her first case as a detective to be a serial killer.
She had been looking forward to this promotion after years of being a Dallas beat cop. Her first case file is the worst serial murder case the city has seen in decades. At her wits end, she’s forced to consult with a rival police department in Fort Worth—Detective Ryan Foxe.
It quickly becomes apparent that Ryan is nothing like she expected. For the good of the case they team up, but a psychic’s dire warning make the sparks between them ignite as bodies continue to drop.
The closer Leslie comes to solving the case, the more she realizes she doesn’t know who to trust. Her hot new partner or the psychic’s premonition that death surrounds them?
Lives are on the line and it’s a race against time when the killer leaves her a note that changes everything. The next bodies in the morgue could be theirs…
Paris Morgan writes a gripping psychological thriller that will have you racing towards the last page only to realize nothing is as it seems. Aquarius is the first book in the Murders of the Zodiac series where each book dishes up a spine-tingling murder.
This is the second edition of Murders of the Zodiac
Paris' passion for finding justice for victims came from working with several organizations that help those in need. Gaining knowledge from a police ride-along and her criminal justice class while in college, it brings an authentic flavor to her characters in her Psychological Thrillers and Suspense Novels.
When she isn't trying to figure out way to save her characters from serial killers, she enjoys watching t.v. shows and reading from her TBR list.
She also writes spicy, steamy romances under the name Pepper Paris while fighting zombies under the penname Alathia Morgan.
An interesting and intriguing concept with great characters and a nice pace to the story. Mostly enjoyed it but there were some elements that were a little cheesy for me and I would have liked the murders/chase to be a bit more dramatic/gritty. Read more like a contemporary romance at times than a thriller/crime story.
Aquarius: Murders of the Zodiac by Paris Morgan is a pulse pounding psychological thriller that dives deep into the tension between logic, intuition, and the darker corners of human obsession. Through Detective Leslie Boxe’s eyes, readers are drawn into a chilling cat and mouse game where every clue feels like a trap and every ally could be a threat.
Morgan skillfully blends procedural realism with an undercurrent of eerie mysticism, giving the story both grit and depth. The chemistry between Leslie and Detective Ryan Foxe adds emotional intensity, while the psychic’s ominous warnings push the narrative into heart racing territory. Every twist pulls readers deeper into a world where fate, fear, and faith in justice collide.
It’s a gripping start to the Murders of the Zodiac series one that will captivate fans of Criminal Minds and Mindhunter with its haunting mystery and human vulnerability.
