I was once a rejected wolf and now I’m the queen of the Fall Mountain Pack. I’m their alpha female. After escaping King Cenwyn and his court, I find myself back with my alphas, who are now my mates. I have everything I’ve ever wanted, and more, but the gods have a different idea of freedom for me. Persephone’s using the soul bond to connect to my mind, and control it, but none of us know what she truly wants. King Cenwyn’s armies are at our borders, and he isn’t alone.
The Levi are now an army, controlled by an angry goddess, and if we aren’t careful, she will destroy us all.
We endure the fall and rise in the ashes.
Fall Mountain Pack will not stay down for long. Wolves always bite back…
This is a full-length reverse harem romance novel full of sexy alpha males, steamy scenes, a strong heroine and a lot of sarcasm. Intended for 18+ readers. Book Five of Eight.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
Where to start... so overall just a real cluster the whole series. I can only guess the goal was to make the book or the "world" more powerful by mixing all of the things but it just comes out a muddled mess. We have Wolf shifters, angels/vampires, leviathan/zombies?, Greek mythology (poorly done), and then the old gods the wolven which are surprise wolves 🙄.
Calls it a slow burn and I guess it is but the steamy scenes are decidedly lacking for waiting 3 books to get any and are even more unrealistic then anything else I have read it take 3 sentences for her to 🎊 and that just does not satisfy after reading 3 books of a slow burn series I as a reader personally am going to need more then that.
And do not get me started on ALL of the completely stupid decisions made by our female MC I mean just one after the other. And she is supposed to be this strong scary female but has participated in the bare minimum to be considered competent and not some incredible heroine. But maybe I am spoiled with SJM selection of completely bad ass female characters 🤷♀️. Should have added it to my DNF list honestly the longer I read the more frustrated I got.
Siento que los libros empezaron bien, y después hubo una mezcla de tantas cosas, que para mi no funcionaron. Simplemente lo terminé por conocer el final, pero 😓
"La curiosidad mato al gato, pero murió sabiendo." 🙊
The story is still sexy and some. But also exciting, thrilling and sometimes sad. A very good closure on mai and her alphas. And wants you to read the next books in line about her daughter.
This needs more than 5 stars, if your a shifter lover these are a must read by G. Bailey, I want lie im gutted this series is finished and that ending 😢 but I have loved these books so so much
I can’t get enough of this series. The characters I absolutely love. Mai and her men must do anything too save their pack. This book had me completely hooked. I’m so happy hoe this series ended. I’m so excited that Serendipity will get a series.
This is the battle I've been waiting to read about. I have to say that it seems as if it ended quicker than I thought it would, but maybe the battle is done after all. There are more twists and turns along with surprises in this story. We finally learn who and what Dot is, and her history. Mai and her alphas have fully made it official, and Persephone makes more than one appearance as we get the rest of her and Hades' story. We finally know the whole story about the betrayals that led up to everything and how the Wolven Crown was created. To lovers are finally able to reunite. Draycian is there to collect the debt owed and it must be paid. There are those who are willing to risk their lives to stop it from being fulfilled but the consequences for all would be devastating. The ending of the story is both heartfelt and heartbreaking for Mai. We do get some HEA's for the characters in this story and it ends with a bit of a cliffhanger with Serendipity. However, I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
The author assumes the reader can remember stuff from books ago. One of her mates has a cousin that did something bad? I don’t remember. And the author doesn’t elaborate to remind the reader wtf she’s referring to. That happens a lot.
It’s also odd to me that Dip is supposed to be 2 years old and can talk flawlessly and do other stuff but another child who is supposed to be FOUR says “I want to run with you” and the character thinks “wow, they speak so well for a little one”. That is super annoying to me. And then another character that is almost 2 can only say half sentences lie “come, too?” When dip is literally talking like and adult. Does the author not know that there’s such a huge difference between 2 and 4 years old?
The author has some language and grammar issues that slightly annoy me. BUT. This series is actually really good. The storyline is engaging and entertaining and it sucks you in. I cringed a few times but I still couldn’t put it down. On to book 6.
This series was a slow start for me but it pulled me in! By the third book I was totally in love with all the characters. The sisterhood girl power vibes in this book were something I wish more books had. The balance of relationships in the book are so well written, there was such good balance between love interest, friends, siblings, and even children. It was so refreshing to see how these relationships were handled during hard times. This is truly a pack book! They all supported one another throughout the entire conflict. I actually really enjoy that this was not your typical HEA. Without spoilers I will say the ending was slightly heart wrenching for me. But I actually love it that much more for not having everything tied up happily with a bow. War is messy and hard choices are made. Overall this averaged 3.5-4 stars for me. I will say for cons that the world building isn't super deep and the writing at times felt a little messy. I don't need three sentences to get across something simple. But overall the series as a whole was good!
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I have adored this series from book 1, and this ending was perfect! Honestly, at the end, I had goosebumps on my arms, holding my breath during all of the revelations and answers to previous questions. I got so absorbed into this story and I'm a bit sad it's over now :(
There are a lot of twists and turns that happen in this novel, enough to STILL keep you guessing until the very end, which I enjoyed very much. And for the next 3 books in the series, being about another character from this world? You can be assured, I was SO EXCITED about that!!
I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel, and this series, and I know I will be revisiting this story again in the future so I can binge read through all 5 books :)
For me I was a little on the fence with this book. I generally love all of G. Bailey's books and this was no different. I enjoyed the story and felt that she closed off the series in a satisfying manner. I did however feel that the connection between the MCs was lacking at times....I wanted to feel their connection on a deeper level. However, this did not take away my enjoyment in reading this series. There was a lot happening in book five....it was a rollercoaster ride of action and emotion that had me flicking through to the conclusion. I am excited to see where G. Bailey will take us next from characters that have been in this book. Overall an enjoyable read that had me interested and intrigued.
Phew! I'm glad this is over. The last third of the book had action at least and stuff was happening though the endless talking got on my nerves. Throughout the series I got annoyed by the ill timed se*scenes and the blabla around I.portant things that went down to let all the drama of the plot happening. Don't know how I geel about the butchering of Greek mythology and I don't really like the characters. The only one I really liked was Phim. . I kind of want to know what will happen to Dip, so I will give that a try. But if its as dragging as these 5 books, I won't spend time for another 3...
I loved this series! At times it dragged a bit but overall I was really happy with this series. The ending though, I canʻt wait for more! There were times when I screamed, I cried, and I laughed. What I really liked about this series was the twists and turns that G. Bailey gave us. Is this my favorite G. Bailey series? No. But is it one that I will be re-reading in the future? Yes.
This ending was a bit sad and emotional overall. I feel like a lot wasn't resolved but maybe it will be in the continuation? I will mark the next book as one that I will want to read. I hope it's as good as I'm imagining it to be because the lead up and suspense was a lot these past two books.
G. Bailey Is an amazing writer and story teller. I love how the mythology and the wolves is so connected in her books and in Greek mythology. Mai's story is so relatable to a woman who was raised in hell to rise out the ashes to embrace the light in darkness. Her having four mates was so beautiful in every way and not many authors could have put it together so beautifully like Bailey did. I 100% recommend you read this whole series and I'm about to start serendipitys story and I'm so excited 😊!!! The wolves in this series are majestic, powerful, sexy, loyal, and sum are cruel same goes for the angels but I promise u will get hooked till the last word 🐺.
The entire series was slightly stressful to read. Almost every character had been ripped away from their parents. Or had bad parents. The ending was especially irritating. She finally finds her daughter (4 years old) only to have a creepy old “dragon God” guy trick her into trading the baby away because she was his mate. Yes, the “she” I’m referring to is the baby. Whoever made these books has some serious emotional issues. The books themselves aren’t terrible if you can get past the constant trauma of literally almost every single character in the story. Although the ending was straight up icky feeling.
Good ending to the story of Mai and her mates. It had some good action scenes, but I thought the ending/war would of been more dramatic? Maybe the build up was just drawn out so it didn't shock me so much. Either way, it was good. Glad we got to see how a lot of characters end up in their lives. Dip's ending makes me sad. I'll definitely eventually read her story. Hopefully we'll get more details on everyone and how they're doing in the future. Also, spice content was decent but not as much as I wanted. I thought the series could of been condensed a bit as well. Good book overall!
Uffff I loved this series sooo freaking much! I genuinely couldn’t put it down it was just so entrancing! Thank you so much for writing such a master piece. There were a few times that I truly kinda hated Mai for a few of her choices but at the same time I admired her for them as well. She was brave, kind, and bad ash. If you are unsure of reading this series I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JUST THROWING YOURSELF INTO IT! It was such a beautiful and heartbreaking story. I cried, I laughed, and I feel such joy from finishing Mai & her Alphas story it was a wonderful series to read.
This last book seemed long, drawn out and the ending was less than satisfying. I hated the decision on Dip, and how that whole situation was written. Not to mention Daniel in previous books, just hated it, but was able to move on till the stuff with Dip, then the Epilogue seemed rushed, unfinished and just not up to the previous editions.
All in all, the series was really good, but the last book could have been so much better in my opinion. Just wanted to add that when characters are stressed, about to go to war, fighting for their lives...realistically sex with gorgeous men and one gorgeous woman, in that moment would not be happening! Really...let's be real!
I’m not sure if it was because it was so long but I feel the series was a little dragged. I Loved the alphas and Mai, but sometimes I felt her character became lees And less interesting, even when her daughter entered the picture. Not sure how I felt about that relationship. I did appreciate the character growth. I do plan to read serendipity’s story bc that caught my attention immediately. Good series, not my fav by this author as I do love her books, but still worth the read.
The battle for survival is a long and twisted road
Each book is filled with supernaturals fighting for survival of their species in a war destined to bring death and destruction. The Fall mountain pack are fighting fir their freedom and protection against the angels. A war is coming and not everyone will survive. Filled with battles and action, steamy interludes and violence all rolled into one. Friendships forged in this war will be tested and only the gods know who will be left standing . A really enjoyable series, impossible to put down.
This book is fast paced and filled with lots of closure. I found that a lot of my questions where answered and we even get some in the future parts that will need to another series of books in this same landscape.
The book is filled with lots of love, mating, war and testing of ones self.
Great ending for this series and I cannot wait for Dips story next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the last book about mai and her apha's. I couldnt put it down i bingt it in a few hours tops. And it really broke me. Had a few times tears to my eyes. Great worldbuilding, fast paced, easy read, action packed, there where some plots i didnt see coming other plots i did see coming. G. Bailey did a great job with this serie. And im ready to read serendipity her story
This is a Fall Mountain Shifters book 5 mating story for Mairin and her four mates. This one is a mix of emotional rides. I cried for all the death and destruction this book holds and the loss Mairin goes through. I loved all the strength Mairin shows and her four lovers too. I can not wait to see what the next book holds from G. Bailey.

So frustrating. So Mai finally has the ability to be a mom to her daughter and then she's stolen away to be raised by her supposed fated mate. Utter bs. Then she isn't allowed to see her adopted fathers or her adopted grandfather. That's so wrong. To be raised away from other children when she was so alone for so long. That's heartbreaking. Hopefully Dip and Trey will be reunited.
Her Night Wolf is the conclusion of Mai and her mates - Ragnar, Hendersen, Valentine and Silas story but not the series. Yes i enjoyed reading this finale. Ive liked Mai and her guys from the beginning and all the loose ends were tied up nicely. Only for me i cant help but think the limelight was stolen by other characters. Namely the kids - Dip, Trey and Jesper even if their parts were smaller im hoping they get more book time in future books? Still i loved the ending. It was a brilliant read
I really enjoyed Mai’s story , I feel sad that there was no mother and daughter relationships between her and Dip, I really feel like Dip’s appearance didn’t fit in this book, Mai hardly cared about her during plot, she said she does but there was very little scenes of them together, like girl didn’t excised ,I feel like Dip only appeared in book so book series would continue now about her. Anyway enjoyed book, nice read, will see what Dip brings in next book
WOW…this book had it all and I lost plenty of sleep as Mai and her Alphas faced the fight of their lives against insurmountable odds. There were highs and lows emotionally and so many twists that this finale was a fantastic culmination to their story. I’m glad that the author is also giving us a follow-up with a look into Dips new life since with all fantastic series like this I’m still always wanting more.
This one answered some questions. There was no mention of Trey in the epilogue which was upsetting and I wonder if one of the Jesper mentions was meant to be Trey. It was a hard read because I knew what was coming with Dip. I hate the corner that they got back in to. I’m happy with Cenwyn and Adira’s ending. I wish there was a way to know how Serendipity is doing without reading her books because I just know they’ll make me mad like these ones did too.
Her Night Wolf wraps things up nicely for the Fall Mountain Pack, but it promises future adventures for the next generation. I'm here for it!
I appreciate that this story is a quality telling. The spicyness is sprinkled rather than flooded, the characters are fully fleshed out, and the setting is well described to set comfortably in my mind.
Well, this is the end of this series, and I loved it. We were able to learn the answers left by the previous books, and the plot, in my opinion, concluded the protagonist's story but left us with the possibility of stories about other characters, which is great. The characters were fantastic, especially the boys and their relationship with the protagonist. Well, I won't say any more to encourage you to read this series, which I definitely recommend.
I have to say this book was a showstopper. It was definitely one of the best final books of a series that I’ve read. It went out like a BANG!!! There was so much Action!! Adventure!! Shifter//Angel//Other Fantasy characters!! Not to mention the steamy sex scenes either. Out of all the books that I’ve read so far from G Bailey, this one is by far the best and was knocked out of the park!
