Go! Go! Loser Ranger!, Vol. 3 (My Kindle Review)

In disguise, Fighter D meets one of his own also disguised and hiding at the Ranger Corps and despite their different goals, they do an ally In each other while D will find himself participating in a very dangerous final exam and an unexpected surprise appears. It does looks like that it might put an end to this long staged battle. B+ (83%/Very Good)

It was interesting to see boss monster. The boss monster thinks he’s doing good but he’s just going hurt just as mine as the human do. This has had some good and some bad.

“If you’re the winner, all is forgiven. It doesn’t matter what you do. All that matters is winning.”

The ethos of this series.

Throughout this volume, you see how it’s the Ranger Force that’s built the narratives surrounding monsters. They create an environment that reinforces their version of events. The lie. Not just through tradition or through story. It’s also done by using the veil of monster sensibilities to abuse recruits, leaving a lasting impression on those that attempt (and ultimately fail) to become a ranger.

It’s a system designed to allow you to aspire but to ultimately fail. And then to blame yourself. Gaslighting abounds.

In the moment, D says this sarcastically about monsters. But he’s seeing it played out among what should be considered peace and justice. The ways they paper over doubt and curiosity by providing the Sunday Showdown spectacle to reaffirm the existence of the “threat”.

This one gets 3/5 because it’s more action heavy and I didn’t feel like there was as much emotional depth as the previous 2. Also, the action-packed scenes took some slowing down and re-reading. Still good.

Side note - I’m having some issues with Hibiki’s sister being in a wheelchair when she’s not in Pink Dragon Keeper mode. I sincerely hope there’s some explanation that makes sense, because I don’t love it on the surface.

Ojalá no decaiga.

The hits keep on coming

I started reading this thinking that the monster was the antagonist and the dragon keepers were actually good and now I find myself empathizing with fighter D and seeing so many hidden agendas in the story with other characters

Still going strong, but I’m also still pretty confused at times. I think I might reread these before the next one.

The cliff hangers are really good. But a lot of this volume was kind of unnecessary, I think.

Pretty good. A little drawn out in the middle but got better at the end. Interesting enough that I want to keep going with the series.

I really like this concept and I’m gonna watch the anime but genuinely reading it is a slog most of the time so I think I’ll give up.
