Opening Sentence from one of the short stories ‘ Secrets of Successful Aging’ by Gerard Henderson: “… The onset of ageing is a bit like the coming of puberty – in that a process seems to take control over which the individual concerned has limited influence…”

Editors, Ross Fitzgerald & Lyndal Moor, have gathered the thoughts of 35 Australians on how to cope with the inevitability of aging. And the overall message is that getting older is not the end of a purposeful, active, satisfying and productive life.

I cannot honestly say every point of view lit my fire – but there are some outstanding and inspiring thoughts.

Like the opening sentence I selected said, we cannot stop the process, all we can do is adapt to the changes and continue the way we always have.
