"Kau jaga aku, aku jaga kau."
The Devyn's Maid. Wujudnya gelaran itu kepada insan bernama Elvina Naura. Seorang anak yang dimanjakan dengan kemewahan oleh keluarganya. Sehingga suatu hari kebahagiaan itu hilang sekelip mata selepas kematian ibu tercinta. Akibat terasa dicabar dengan keadaan ketika itu, dia tekad untuk keluar dari rumah.
Keluarnya si dia dari kesenangan hidup sehingga mencetuskan pergaduhan dengan seorang lelaki kacukan bernama Tuan Rizqish Devyn.
"Kalau you tak nak minta maaf, I jerit you ni sexual harassment dekat I." - Elvina Naura.
Dari pergaduhan itu, Tuan Rizqish mula ingin mengenali gadis itu dengan lebih dekat. Dia mencari jalan untuk memaksa gadis itu bekerja sebagai pembantu rumahnya.
Tidak disangka bahawa lelaki itu akan mengajak Elvina berkahwin secara tiba-tiba akibat masalah yang dihadapinya.
Apabila ditolak, kelemahan Elvina dicari. Dia dikurung bersama hamster di dapur. Ya, binatang comel berbulu itu digunakan oleh Tuan Rizqish untuk mengugut Elvina.
"Kau nak kahwin dengan aku ke tak?" - Tuan Rizqish.
Hari demi hari berlalu dengan kerenah keras kepala Elvina Naura dan sikap Tuan Rizqish yang sentiasa nak betul. Semuanya mula menjadi memori buat dua keping hati itu.
Hingga suatu tragedi terjadi membuatkan Tuan Rizqish kesal. Apabila bahagia hendak dikecapi, pasti ada sahaja cabaran yang datang. Dapatkah mereka bersama selamanya?

This is definitely one of the reckless purchase I've made this year. And I have nobody to blame but myself.
Sigh.
How do I even begin my review? This is probably going to be long, bear with me, okay.
This book is thick. 600+ pages. It also has a cliché plot but I have no problem with that.
TDM is basically about a rebellious rich girl who escapes from home, decided to be independent, ends up being a maid to a rich, 'cold' guy. Rich guy gets attracted to the rich girl because she's "different". Rich guy suddenly proposes to rich girl because rich guy needs an heir to continue their legacy, and surprisingly rich girl agrees. Fast forward, rich girl falls for rich guy, but little did she know, rich guy also secretly likes her.
Phew. So, let's get down to business.
Pros:
• Beautiful, attractive cover. That's it.
Cons:
• Flat and slow storyline - the world solely revolves around the main characters but there's unfortunately no chemistry between them. I said I'm okay with cliché plot, but not at how unrealistic it is. There are also a lot of unnecessary dialogues between the characters. You can skip a few pages and there's still no progress. It was often described the ML goes to work, but never elaborated what kind of work he was doing.
• Family names. What's so powerful about those names, anyway? When described, I definitely did not feel the vibe. Devyn? Hayes? They sound just like ordinary family names to me, no offense.
• Repetitive conflict - author really has to be more creative when writing about the antagonists.
• Excessive usage of the word "haish". Like??? We have a very wide vocabulary to describe frustration, a little research and effort wont hurt.
I was close to DNF-ing at 40% but I pushed myself albeit the endless skimming through.
At the end of the book, it was mentioned this story reached over 3 million reads. I'm sorry for saying this, some stories aren't meant for the mass market. Yes, it's partly my fault for not doing my own research before deciding to buy and I understand that getting the book is purely reader's decision but at least, make it worth the price.
I hope this long rant is not taken as an offense or attack, but rather a room for improvement in the future. Best of luck, author.

1st half buku ni dah suka gila. Walaupun mcm kahwin kontrak/kahwin paksa2, that they try to be actual husband and wife tu dah lain drpd lain. Dah seronok baca.
Masuk 2nd half, mcm meleret2 pula cerita. Mcm2 jadi, pelik2 perangai. 😅 Mmmg bnyak skip through 2nd half ni.
Satisfied je kalau buku ni habis sampai 1st half. 😘

At first semua okay je tapi cerita jadi melarat tah apa ii. Byk je scene yang boleh buang Dan buku ni boleh jadi lagi nipis Dari yang asal
Jalan cerita draggy sampai naik jemu nak baca. Penulisan sangatlah Wattpad, kejap okay kejap x okay. I don't feel anything special about the family name and the terms. Benda asyik berulang ulang, character development teruk.
Maybe author boleh revamp balik buku ni.

sorry DNF. penulisan kinda okay tapi... entahlah. watak utama takde chemistry. the family name? i dont find anything special about devyn and hayes. tak tahu ML kerja macam mana. draggy. mampu baca sampai diorang mula mula kahwin je lepastu stop.
