Lock hasn’t spent a winter solstice in the All Plane in years. He can’t even remember the last time he looked forward to the celebration. But now that Cari is his mate and the All Plane queen, he wants to make it as special as possible.
However, the All Plane and the Shattered Isle have vastly different traditions, and Cari is being incredibly stubborn when it comes to telling him what she wants. He never reads her mind without permission, and this is one topic she’s keeping locked up tight.
With the help of his brothers, they’re determined to do whatever it takes to give their mate some semblance of peace during such a tumultuous time. And with a little luck, a lot of lust, and a bit of help from a new friend, they might just pull it off.

I was so happy to get more of these characters. Lock, Tor, Steel, Talon and Cari are characters that you will never forget. I love them together and love how they will do anything for Cari to still have her traditions. Another amazing quick read that everyone must read.

This is a short novella taking place after Her Assassin's, leading into the fourth book and it's rly nothing but smut😂
The guys are preparing a sort of party that's traditional to her history in order to surprise her and that's all the plot we get, all the other chapters are filth.

this was exactly as it claimed it would be, sex followed immediately by another round of sex....times four
there was the fivesome but it included one person just watching, so the people who have been waiting for that might be disappointed. I was like, how tf is this gonna work and then it was kinda a let down lol

This entire series has a chokehold on me, and this novella just got added to it. It was the perfect mixture of spicy and sweet. The events of Her Mates takes place right before The Assassins.
Cari is still adjusting to her title as Queen and the people of All Plane are still not sure if they can trust a Shattered Isle to rule them. This alone is bringing Cari down, but she understands and is giving them time to see that she isn't like the rumors they hear. As winter approaches the All Plane gets ready to celebrate their winter solstice which is about reflecting on the past and honoring it. But Cari is having a hard time with it and is feeling homesick to her own winter solstice tradition, Frostlite, where you leave the old behind and bring in the new for the new year. Lock sees how much this is hurting her and with the help of his brothers they recreate Frostlite for her on the All Plane. Just this simple act can mean the world to just one person.
If you ever loved Lock before then this is going to make you fall head over heels for him. Lock really came out of his shell in this book especially for Cari. Throughout the other books, Lock is very guarded because of what he went through. You see a soft spot start to unfold slightly as time goes on but, in this book, his true colors are shown. Lock will and has gone out of his way to make sure Cari is okay, maybe it's his mental powers but I feel like Lock is Cari's heart. Just like Talon is the brain, Steel is strength, and Tor is bravery/endurance. Each one of these mates completes Cari in ways that are truly beautiful.
I really hate to see this series end, but all good things must come to an end. Thank you, Jade Presley for an ARC copy of Her Mates. As always, I am honored and grateful and can wait to see what the final book holds.

With this being a novella, I don’t have much to say. I really liked how the princes came together for Cari and put on a Frostnight party for not just her but also the All Plane people. As a start to bring together both worlds. I really wish we could have had more behind the scenes of the princes’ sneaking around and planning. But again, for a novella you can only pack in so much. There was a lot of descriptive spice in every chapter. But where my rating dwindled was the last spicy scene with all of her mates together. I feel like out of all of them in the book, this one lacked the time and description that it deserved.
Heads up to readers: this one virtually has no plot, it’s just an erotic novella which I knew this was the author’s goal when I started reading so that wasn’t the problem I had. It was literally just that final scene where I wanted more of it 😅

Yet another amazing story from Jade Presley! I've been dying for any kind of continuation of Cari and her mates' story. The fact that Lock went out of his way to make sure he and his brothers did something so special for Cari. Literal tears. There are so many people who feel guilty for missing traditions from when they were in abusive situations or feeling empty during new holiday traditions because they don't know what to expect. It's so important that those individuals feel supported. That's exactly what Lock, Tor, Talon, and Steel did for Cari.
Now, the spice level. I loved that we the readers finally got a scene with all of her mates. In the past two novels, we've just had mostly one on one scenes or trios with two of the brothers/mates. My dreams of getting to read a scene with all of them together finally came true and it was amazing. It was actually doable too! Not Cari twisted like a pretzel and taking on all four at a time. I bow to Jade Presley and her writing!

More smut for my Marvel addict self
This was everything a novella should be. Growing up Cari would celebrate Frostlite on the Shattered Isle. She is struggling to keep her past from her future, and dealing with the guilt that comes along with it. Her mates sense her turmoil so they work together to give her new memories on the All Planes while still honoring her past. We finally get the group action we have all been waiting for! Even though it is short, we get chapters from each of characters. A very well done, sweet novella that has kept my Marvel smut addiction alive and well.

I could never get enough of Jade Presley’s writing. Not only is it incredibly spicy, but there is also such an phenomenal plot to these stories.
I adored this short novella! Reading about these five amazing characters forming an even stronger bond together was just what I was needing.
The ending though, Jade that was cruel. Haha.
I can’t wait for the next book!!!!

The spice!!!! I love Jade's writing and am so glad i saw this was out. I love the dynamic of these characters and am excited by hints of whats to come later in the series. I love the wholesomeness of winter solstice and frostlite in this!!

it was a good little novella. basically just smut. i read it “out of order” technically so the ending doesn’t line up but that doesn’t really matter. it was cute, it was minimally spicy. it was fine. nothing against it, just nothing stand out.
