🛑 Look at the author's trigger warning!!!

‼️ While this is book 3 in The Boys of Castleview Cove series, I recommend you read The Triple Trouble series to get a better understanding of the side characters you meet in Owen!

Wow... I went into this book with a little sadness because I knew it was the last we were going to see from our Castleview Cove characters. As always, I'm astounded at the author's ability to write such a gripping story. Owen gave me such bittersweet feelings, and now I don't know how to cope, now that it's over.😭🤣❤️
I love how Jade is such a daredevil and lives her life in the "fast lane." She's not afraid of taking chances and being alpha... IYKYK!👀🥵
Owen isn't your traditional alphahole MMC. He's not afraid to wear his emotions, express his needs, and even be scared from time to time. He's more cautious, and I love how Jade and Poppy are able to bring out a side of him that we haven't seen before!
Poppy and Owen STEAL the book with how cute they are! All of Owen's little nicknames for her made me swoon and want to witness them in real life!❤️😍

While I'm sad to see them go, I'm super happy with the direction the author is taking! Thank you so much for the ARC copy, Vicki. Owen will be released on June 15th on Kindle Unlimited!🎉🎉

Oh my god. I went in for the age gap spice and came out with my heart a puddle on the floor.

Owen being the younger man and Jade the older woman? Refreshing and SO! DAMN! HOT! His brain is filthy and desperate, and yet when paired with Jade, it somehow turns into this wholesome, healing dynamic.

And then there’s Poppy. Honestly, the real knight in shining armour. The way this little girl binds Jade and Owen together had me misting up. 🥹

Owen being Scottish? Yeah, instant weakness. The accent alone had me clenching.

But let’s not sugarcoat it. This book is SPICY. Like, blush-inducing levels of spice. The desperation, the tension, the soft moments… all blended perfectly. And the ending? My heart was so full I nearly burst.

“Don’t play the game, Owen. Change it.”

If you’ve read the previous 2 books in the Castleview Cove boys series, you probably don’t have a particularly high opinion of Owen. He hasn’t painted himself in glory with the way he treated his ex-girlfriend Skye, or his best friends Lincoln and Jacob at times. But be prepared for him to be fully redeemed in this book.
I don’t know how Vicki did it, but she very quickly made me like him and root for him!

Owen finds himself about to marry a women he can’t stand (and the feeling is mutual) all because of a business deal arranged by their families. After running out on the wedding, he heads to Cyprus to hide out with his cousin, one of the only family members he can trust. It’s here he meets single mum Jade and her adorable daughter Poppy.

Jade is 8 years older than Owen, and she’s a badass. Exactly who he needed to bring him out of the horror his family have put him through and help him build a life for himself.

It’s pretty much insta love for these two, and of course they get their HEA but it’s not without some pretty big bumps along the way. I loved the appearances of previous characters (Hello Knox!) and the tight friendship group Owen is part of. Owen’s relationship with Poppy is absolutely beautiful and he has the cutest nicknames for her!

A lovely end to a great series! Thank you Vicki for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Owen was the perfect ending to the series and he may be my favorite hero🙊 I didn't like much Owen in the previous books but here he totally redeemed himself, his scenes with Poppy were the cutest and I loved how open and vulnerable he was with Jade. Despite knowing each other for a few days they formed a really strong connection and little by little their relationship started changing and growing.

Owen left Scotland after running away from his arranged wedding and he travelled to Cyprus where his cousin was. He still wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life but meeting Jade and Poppy definitely helped him see what was really important. He and Jade shared a lot of special moments and I loved how he fell in love with Poppy from the start, he was great with her and everyone noticed how amazing he was.

Jade was the first woman working as a pilot for the air force so she had a lot of responsibilities, especially being a single mom. She was very hardworking and despite her demanding job, everything she did was for her daughter. Thanks to her ex she spent a lot of years alone but meeting Owen changed a lot of things for her. They had undeniable chemistry from the start and I loved how easy their interactions were and how they couldn't deny what they felt for each other.

Owen and Jade's story was very captivating, they tried to spend a lot of time together and I loved how comfortable they were around each other after a few days, they looked like a very happy family and Owen loved to take care of Poppy and be there for Jade. They had to face some things at the end but I loved how Owen had friends that loved him and always supported him. Owen did everything to protect Jade and Poppy so I loved how at the end things worked out for him and he could be free of all his family drama. He deserved a chance to be happy and it was nice reading how he got his happy ending with Jade, Poppy and all his friends.

I loved reading about the previous characters and see more of them and their friendship, they always had each other's backs and I also enjoyed reading their interactions and banter. Now I can't wait to read more of Vicki's stories and see what she has in store for us.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

The perfect ending to this series and my favourite fmc in the trilogy too.

This author knows how to write a strong woman trying to have it all. Working in a male dominated high pressure career, and a single mum to boot, she meets runaway groom Owen due to him staying at her colleague's villa where they are currently training.

Great plot, characters with chemistry, spice and romance 🌶️❤️ , the return of characters from previous books and a sleazy baddy to boo at. What more could you possibly want!

Straight up, I did not vibe with this book and would give it 2 stars except it had some redeeming qualities that deserve some recognition.

It started off pretty good. Immediately, I was hooked by the writing style and the story. Backing out of an arranged marriage is a new kind of read for me so I was pretty excited. But then Owen had to go and be Owen….

Honestly, I flat out could not stand him. He was insufferably whiny and annoying. His internal monologue irritated me like no other fictional character has before and was so repetitive. I get it dude, your parents didn’t care that you didn’t love the woman they set you up with and cut you out of your inheritance. I just could not get on bored with his never ending pity parties when the man literally inherited millions elsewhere. Regardless of his parent’s money, he was going to be just fine.

As if constantly going on about his misfortunes wasn’t annoying enough, he never forgot to remind the reader he still had millions and could easily start over doing whatever made him happy. Okay… so shut up and go do that.

It’s unfortunate because I seriously thought the other characters were great. I really enjoyed them and loved their personalities so much.

I especially really liked that Jade was a strong independent woman, kicking butt being a pilot and a single mom to the most adorable 11 month old. But with that said, I feel like her being such a baddie really made Owen look worse beside her. I just couldn’t see how she liked him at all lol.

Well really, I didn’t get the connection between them, period. It was rushed and felt so forced. Real heavy on the insta-love and I am never here for that.

I don’t want to sh*t on Owen too much so I will say, his interactions with Jade’s daughter was the cutest thing. Easily my favorite parts of the whole book.

As for the spice…. Cringe. For a grown man whose friends/family seem to think is a womanizer…. He seemed to be a little inexperienced in the sheets. Which, that’s not a bad thing at all, but don’t sit here and say you’ve been with all these women and you can’t even deliver. To make it worse, it didn’t seem like Jade was all that into it either lol.

But yeah, this definitely wasn’t for me. I tried my hardest to like this book but Owen was the worst IMO.

But just because this was my yuck, that doesn’t mean it can’t be your yum. We don’t judge here.
If you are someone who enjoys insta-love and alpha females, this book is for you. Especially if you love adorable babies! Poppy was the real star of this read!

OWEN by VH NICOLSON ✨️
ARC Review- Releases 15th June

I'll start by saying that although you could read this as a standalone to get the full impact of Owens' story, I would highly recommend reading Lincoln and definitely Jacob prior to diving in as there is alot of history revolving his character and this is very much his redemption story. 💕

Going into this, I won't lie, I was not the biggest Owen fan. The way he treated Skye and his best friends Lincoln & Jacob in previous books was not ideal, but seeing how his family history plays out in this one, my heart broke for him 😭💔. His parents, what truly awful people they are ,who definitely did not deserve him or his sister Camilla.

After spending years trying to gain his families approval and love, Owens story starts with him about to enter into an arranged marriage to forge bonds between his archaeic family and another to try save the family print business. But after a few choice words from his two best men & him finally snapping, he runs.

Neither of these two characters ended up how I expected them to be. I knew Jade would be fiesty and need to put Owen firmly in his place (chapter 6, IYKYK) but what I didn't expect was how as their relationship progresses, although this is super super quickly and its very much insta lust/ love, they balance each other out. She accepts him truly for who he is and I loved the role reversal shown here! ✨️

I absolutely loved how Owens' relationship with Jade's daughter Poppy grows from the moment he meets her. This selfish manchild shown in previous books has spent the past year trying to better himself, and it shows. From the first minute he meets her, he is smitten and steps up to be that father figure she's been missing. The relationship shown between him and Mari (Jade's mum) was also beautiful to watch and further proved to him what a maternal role should have been like and that he's not everything he's been taught to believe.

These two were destined to be together. And although there are a few hurdles beforehand, I was so glad he finally got his HEA 💕.

"I created my own legacy; one filled with love, laughter, and my happy ever after." - Owen Brodie

We've seen Owen Brodie as Skye's shitty ex-boyfriend in Jacob's book and after reading this book, everything has come to light about his character. It's challenging not to feel disheartened about his struggle to yield to all his family's urges and being manipulated his entire life. It was such a relief to see him finally standing up for himself and break the cycle. Meeting Jade Sommers was the best thing that happened to him. Not only she's a great team leader and an incredible motivator, but she also possesses the perfect qualities to illuminate Owen about love. Together with her adorable daughter Poppy, Owen has changed and matured into a man who realizes that he can wear his heart on his sleeves and also knows how to love someone deeply. As the chapter progresses, the love between Owen Brodie and Jade Sommers is exquisite and a delight to experience. It's also wonderful to see the support given to him by his friends and Knox throughout his ordeal. Seriously, a parent who leaves his children with tons of quagmires caused by his greed for power and money? Who does that? The denouement of that was satisfactorily written, so I'm good.
Overall, I think this story is my favourite in the series. Owen has finally won me over and who can resist little Poppy's charms? The author's writing has vastly improved with this book as compared to her first one and made me decide to read all of her works.
If you're keen on a small-town love story with some family drama, good humour, a bit of suspense to tickle your anxiety and some spice, give this book a try. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

I have been reading this author books. From the very beginning of castle view cove journey and what a series going to miss these characters I have laughed cried and fallen out with them each book is so unique. And the author puts her heart and soul into each book. And we finally got the bad boy. Owen.? His friends have always been there for him. When he needs them the most and the day has come, he leaves everything his money his life and Castleview Cove .and goes to his cousin. Gregor in Cyprus. he is broken. And there a woman so strong Jade and her cute little daughter Poppy and Jades mother Mari .and she becomes more of a mother that Owen has never had. Jade brings. the real Owen out and Poppy steals his heart to its a real and Emotional roller coaster for Owen.as he learns what real love is. you will. so, laugh. and you will have tears. You will so be pulled into the book from page. I so recommend this series. and looking forward to what is next from this Author.

These two together was a delight to read even better we still got to see Lincoln and Jacob there friendship is adorable and Knox you can’t not love him from what he did for Owen.

I wasn’t sure if I’d like this book, because I disliked Owen in the last book.
But I was wrong to pre judge him as I loved his character. There was a sense of vulnerability about him and just wanting to live a normal life. Would definitely recommend!

I had the greatest pleasure in receiving this book as an ARC reader

Owen, the final instalment of The Boys of Castleview Cove series.

Owen has faced great expectations his whole life. His need for craving love and affection from his parents has him entering into a marriage of convenience or does it....

Getting back into work after having her daughter Poppy. Jade is stationed in Cyprus as part of the RAF aerobatic team. Where she meets Owen, who is trying to get his life back on track after standing up for himself, going from rich to broke in a matter of days

Their journey is far from easy, with loop de loops all over the place and somersaults coming when they least expect them, but their love is stronger than ever, and their dreams become reality.

And if you have read any other books by VH Nicolson, you might be in for a surprise

This book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.

Get your copy of this beautiful story that is filled with love, self-discovery, laughter, and humour.  I was hooked from the first page.

Please note that the book contains trigger warnings that can be found on the website.

I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC and leave this review of my own choice.

I didn't know how Owen could possibly be redeemed. He was not a likeable character in Jacob, and this seemed a tough call. Yet again, by the power of VH Nicolson's story telling his flaws, struggles and insecurities were unravelled and pieced back together through the love he found with Jade and Poppy.

I loved the elements of angst caused by external factors on their relationship, I loved that there was no third act breakup and I especially loved that yet again love triumphed.

⭐⭐⭐/🔥🔥🔥
After running out on his arranged wedding, Owen goes to stay with his cousin and that is where he meets Jade. Jade is an air force pilot, single mom, and all around bad ass. Meanwhile, Owen just walked away from his family- meaning he is jobless, broke, and has no idea what he is going to do for the future. While Jade is working, Owen spends the day with her mom and daughter Poppy. When her mom has an accident, Owen steps up to help take care of Poppy. While Owen is trying to figure out his future, he and Jade starts falling for each other pretty much immediately. Owen's parents threaten him to come home which is where he learns that they are about to lose their company and fortune. After a tragic car accident resulting in the death of both of Owen's parents, he has to go home to deal with their estate where he learns how much money they owe to some immoral people. Owen has to figure out how to get away from these people while keeping Jade and Poppy safe.

This book definitely didn't meet my expectations. I wasn't super stoked about Owen to begin with, being that he wasn't painted as the best character in the previous books in the series, but I was still holding out hope. The instalove with Owen and Jade was honestly too much and super cheesy. Owen parents drama, them stealing money from him, him having to cover their debts, etc. seemed like such a reach. Really just tried to create drama and I think the story without all of that could've been enough.

Where do I start? Owen is the final instalment in the Boys of Castleview Cove, and it more than lives up to the previous two books in the series.

Trope-wise, we have reverse age-gap, riches to rags, single-mom, instant love, and a redemption arc that will make you swoon.

For those who have read the previous two books, Lincoln and Jacob, then you'll know that Owen had some work to do, but phew has his character grown and reflected on his previous actions!! It's a testament to VH Nicolson's writing that she's able to mould him into this now hugely loveable character that you will fall in love with. He's matured and reflected, and I'm here for it all!

I'm in love with both main characters, and VH Nicolson has created an amazing leading lady in Jade. She's older, somewhat wiser, and knocks our seriously hot main man, Owen off his feet. It's instant love, and it works brilliantly.

Without giving any spoilers away, Jade is a kick-ass single mom in a high-pressure career. She's so perfectly suited to Owen, and the relationship between them develops rapidly but realistically. I melted over so many moments between them. And the interactions between Owen and Poppy will absolutely make you sigh with happiness... it's a cute fest!!

VH Nicolson has created a storyline that is perfectly paced and never stutters. The villains in the storyline sent my heart rate sky-high, and these scenes add tension and a sense of menace. They're extremely well-written, and you really do get a feel of what they're capable of.

As usual, VH Nicolson has written a well-rounded 3-dimensional supporting cast of characters that have depth, and I found myself really getting involved in them. Cameos from previous characters in the series retain their voices and characteristics superbly, something that can be lost sometimes with other authors. It was a highlight to see some old favourites pop into the story.

As you may have gathered from the above, I loved this book. It completes a series that I've hugely enjoyed from start to finish. I first came across VH Nicolson's work with the sublime Hunting Eden, and each book written by her has always been a joy to read. They're spicy but with a fantastic story to them. The leading ladies are funny, fierce, and loveable, and they always have an underlying strength to them, which I love. The MMC's are hot, sexy, and often show a level of vulnerability. They're alpha males, but on another level, and they're not afraid to show their love for their woman.

I was sent an ARC in exchange for an honest review... and honestly, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This series ends on a huge high!

I 100% recommend Owen - you won't regret reading him. Prepare to fall in love with this book 💚

I am absolutely enamored with this series, particularly Owen's story. From the very first page to the very last, I was completely captivated by the imperfectly perfect love between Owen and Jade. The characters and their stories in The Boys of Castleview Cove Series have left a lasting impact on me, and I know I will revisit their world in the future.

VH Nicolson has once again delivered a brilliant book, and Owen is undoubtedly my favorite in the series. It's a spicy romance that beautifully combines elements of runaway groomsman, military life, strangers-to-lovers, and a reverse age gap. The author skillfully portrays Owen's complex journey, highlighting the toxic relationship with his parents and the emotional abuse he endured. Upon meeting Jade, a military pilot and a devoted mother, Owen's life takes an unexpected turn.

The character development in Owen is exceptional, showcasing his growth and his struggle to navigate positive relationships with women. The connection between Jade and Owen is palpable, with their chemistry and steamy moments leaping off the pages. As a reader, I was thrilled to witness their emotional progression and the genuine bond they formed, especially with Jade's daughter, Poppy.

The Boys of Castleview Cove Series concludes with Owen, and it does not disappoint, including a redemption arc that will make your heart flutter. The supporting cast of characters is well-rounded and three-dimensional, adding depth to the story. VH Nicolson excels at keeping previous characters true to their voices and characteristics, offering delightful cameos from earlier books. As for the leading characters, Jade is a remarkable and strong-willed woman, while Owen's transformation from a flawed individual to a loveable hero is a testament to the author's talent.

Reading Owen was an emotional rollercoaster, and it surpassed my expectations. VH Nicolson's storytelling prowess shines through in this passionate, loving tale filled with drama and unexpected twists. Even though Owen was not initially a likable character, the author skillfully redeems him and leaves readers moved to tears and laughter.

I have been a devoted reader of VH Nicolson since her first book, and Owen showcases her writing at its finest. This book exemplifies why I am a romance enthusiast, and it has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of this series from start to finish. While I am sad to bid farewell to the Boys of Castleview Cove, I am grateful for the magical journey I experienced along the way.

Chapter 6 Page 51
Jade
4 🌟🌟🌟🌟  ⅘ stars

{ You slay me, Jade.” He struggled to catch his breath. “I think you've come into my life for a reason.”
His words render me speechless. He leaps into the pool unexpectedly and pulls me hard against him, surrounding me in his fortress of a body, embracing me as if he never wants to let me go.
“You're beautiful inside and out.”
His voice is thick with emotion as he squeezes me tighter. “I don't want tonight to end.”
“The guys will be home soon,” I murmur against his solid chest. “We have to go inside before they catch us. I have an early start in the morning.”
“Stay just a little longer.” }

In this story we follow Owen on his turbulent ride throughout a terrible ordeal in his life, beginning with - his wedding, to a person who didn't want to marry him.. and he didn't want to marry her. This is where we START and I loved it. There was drama from the first page! And unfortunately for our sweet Owen, it didn't get any easier.

When Jade enters his life she is the confident, authoritative, powerhouse, who is a single mama, and holding down a career that no other woman has done before. Is there anything this beautiful redhead could teach Owen? About life, love, and the mystery of what is out there in the world? Guiding, possibly hatching unseen plans for us.

And the spice 😍😍😍 was amazing!

I love this book, it was humorous and fast-paced from the start. Owen was an easy character to like and once you get pulled into his story, a fierce protective force erupts and you want to hold your hand out to anyone who wants to get near him just in case.

As Jade became a part of the story, it was easy to be excited by her and the way she saw Owen like no one else ever did was beautiful. It touched upon a few tough subjects that are not easy to broach, especially in written words but this author is so talented, in the way she pulls emotions out and twists, and turns them into fine art pieces.

I got so involved with this story that I didn't eat for a whole day! I could not stop reading. It was amazing and I couldn't have been happier in the end. I just hope we get a second book. I need to find out what happened next with my hotshot couple. Please?!

A huge thank you to VH Nicolson, Boldwood Books, and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and relay my honest feedback. ::|

A great series finale! Readers who have read the previous books in the series will probably agree that Owen hasn't been the most likeable of the friends so far and has behaved shabbily towards the others at times, but that changes when you get to know his backstory. The very well-written plot starts out as a strangers to lovers romance, but as the story progresses it turns into more of a romantic suspense with surprising twists, action, dubious deaths, blackmail and threats. The story is captivating, moving and has some steamy love scenes. Some of the tropes are

- Runaway Bridegroom
- Instant attraction
- Reverse age gap
- Single mum
- Found family

The characters are very likable and Owen turns out to be a golden retriever hero who takes great care of Jade's family. Jade is a successful career woman in a male-dominated profession and a new mom who is still balancing work and family. The chemistry between them sizzles from the start and I loved the way Owen interacted with Jade's daughter Poppy and her mum. I was also very pleased to meet the protagonists from the previous books again. You can feel the bond that exists between the three friends, their partners and families.

Since the day he was born Owen Brodie was expected to fulfill his parents‘ expectations, never allowed to choose his own path, never being given parental love.
But when his parents try to force him into a marriage of convenience with the young, pampered daughter of a business partner, Owen takes flight and secretly travels to his cousin in Cyprus. There he meets his cousin's superior and leader of the aerobatic team, Jade Sommers, and is immediately attracted to her.
After taking a career break due to her pregnancy and the birth of her daughter, single mother Jade is finally allowed back into the cockpit. She is also immediately attracted to him and the two begin a hot fling.
Owen doesn't yet know what his professional and financial future will look like, but he's not prepared to give up Jade and her adorable daughter or give in to his parents' attempts at blackmail...

Overall, a touching ending to the series with great character development, suspense, heat and heart, which I am happy to recommend!

I received a free ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and left voluntarily.

High flying romance

After reading about Owen in the previous two books in this fantastic series, I have to admit to being more than a little concerned about reading his own story. Particularly in ‘Jacob’ he is portrayed as a rather selfish, self-centred, privileged man who likes nothing better than to be the kind of friend who liked to compete and win in every aspect of his life.

But as we soon discovered towards the end of the last book, his life has been far from the perfect one everyone in Castleview assumed it to be.

Wealth, power and notoriety are all well and good if love still plays a part in keeping everyone together and being happy. But happiness is something Owen has never felt unless he’s with his best friends, Jacob and Lincoln. So when he almost sacrifices any chance of happiness to go through with his hideous arranged marriage, it takes a strong heart and the courage of his convictions to run.

He never expected however to run directly into the arms of the beautiful and ballsy, Jade. From the moment they meet (despite Owen’s case of ‘foot-in-mouth’) they instantly hit it off. Their connection is strong, but the pull and protectiveness he feels towards Jade and her cute as a button daughter, Poppy is truly wonderful and heartwarming.

Jade and Poppy are everything Owen never knew he needed, but once he finds them he vows to never let them go. But fate moves in mysterious ways and it certainly puts our new favourite little family in jeopardy.

I honestly questioned whether I was going to enjoy this book as I seriously had my doubts that Owen could redeem himself. I shouldn’t have been worried though, as I can honestly say that he’s now firmly made it into my heart and I love him just as much as I’ve loved all these other amazing Castleview men.

This book most definitely did not disappoint and the storyline is so gripping and tense. I’ve loved it from start to finish and I am really going to miss the Castleview Cove gang now my reading of all the books is complete. I just wish this wasn’t fiction because I want to drive up to Castleview and met all these amazing characters.

Absolutely loved this series. Can’t wait to read even more.

Owen is the third and final book in the Boys of Castleview Cove Series.

Owen’s story is one of remdemption, finding who you truly are, and dragging yourself from the ashes to be who you were always meant to be. After running away from an arranged marriage, Owen finds himself hiding in Cypress as a guest of his cousin who is training there. A few weeks to figure out where to go and what to do after leaving everything he’s lived his whole life being obligated to, including his verbally abusive mom, controlling dad, and a cushy bank account.

Jade is a pilot by day who leads a team doing death defying tricks and a single mom by night raising a sweet little girl Poppy with the help of her mom. She’s been burned before but hasn’t given up on what could be believing in the magic of hope and love.

Their connection is instant and although Owen is fighting to find who he is, falling for Jade and little Poppy was never an option. After a late night swim and a wish to Aphrodite his vision starts to become clear. When a fall leaves Jade in a bind Owen steps in seamlessly and day by day realizes more his own strength and what he has to offer, even if it’s no more than himself and the clothes on his back.

Their love is fast and all consuming. Even through tragedy and turmoil, being a family is always at the front of his mind. Realizing that he’s always had all the support he’s needed in his friends, he finds the strength to persevere and not give up, even when things look hopeless. Love never fails and with Aphrodite’s guidance, Owen finds the love he never knew he always needed and Jade and Poppy find their home.

Owen is beautifully written with lots of adventure, chemistry, and spice. This was the story he needed, and as always, VH Nicolson delivers a masterpiece in words.

♥️♥️ This is my ARC review, release day 16.6.23♥️♥️

📖📖This is the third and final book of The Boys of Castleview Cove series, you can read it as a standalone but I think it is better and I highly recommand to read first two books for better experience 😉📖📖

Owen- until we got his own story I tought he is a spoiled brat, who didn't care about no one and can't appreciate anything. But still there must been something when Lincoln and Jacob liked him. The answer is there, right in the first chapeter of the book and I felt really heartbroken for Owen being raised in the family without any emotions, only knowing what a failure you are... well thank God for his friends he found some strenght to fight, broke the circle and started from zero.
Vicky gave him a perfect strong partner-aerobagic pilot! - Jade with a perfect little redhead daughter Poppy. They are everything Owen needs to understand he is more than just a,, social puppet,, that he can take care and be loved without having social status and money. His relationship with Poppy ( oh and the nicknames 😍😍) brought so much joy into his heart (and mine too). Step by step he realises what he is capable of and what he wants to do in his future.

Jade is a real badass mum, who strugles a little bit but finds her confidence thanks Owen again. She is a perfect half for him, I loved that Vicky was not afraid to bring the reverse age gap and breaks the tipycal gender prejudices 👍👍.

All in one, this book is about love, friendship and trust and learning it is never to late to change our live course to do what makes us happy.

It is an amazing closure for this series and I am sad that this is the end ♥️📖, but on the other side I am really looking forward to read what ever Vicky has ready for us on the future.

Thank you very much Vicky for the Arc copy, this is my honest review in exchange.

A story of redemption. A story of a life turned around. A story of scorching, love at first sight. A story you should definitely read!

"My heart is breaking for a love I'm never going to find and a life I don't want." Owen Brodie, our broody MCC finds himself on a path leading to a marriage he doesn't want. And it seems that was the catalyst he needed to realize he wanted his life to go a different direction - money, possessions, and wealth aside, he was the only one with the power to change it.

Jade Sommers is driven, determined, and knows what she wants - in her career and in life. Her daughter Poppy was an unexpected blessing in disguise. And while her birth drastically changed Jade's life, it also seems to have given her perspective on life's priorities.

Owen and Jade's relationship begins with sparks that quickly flame into much, much more. And they're impossible not to love. Owen is remaking himself and Jade is learning to trust again. Owen has become so tender, patient, and willing to change. Jade fights against the negativity that she internalized no thanks to the men around her. And sweet Poppy fits perfectly in the middle.

This book was the perfect reminder that there are second chances, that you don't have to be held back by your family's expectations, and that you'll recognize true love at just the right time. This story wrecked me in the best ways. It reminds me that true love prevails. And that family are the ones who choose you and find you when you need it most, even when yours is quite unfortunate (evil, in Owen's case, tbh).

Books like this remind me why I love dark romance and the thrilling twists and turns that come with this genre. I am so grateful to VH Nicolson and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a must-read!

If you’ve ever thought, “Man, I wish a sweet, emotionally wrecked but hot runaway groom would crash into my life and instantly love me and my kid,” then congratulations—“Owen” by VH Nicolson was custom-ordered for your delusions and it delivers. This book is what you get when you toss insta-love, military moms, controlling families, and an adorably precocious child into a blender and sprinkle in some unexpected emotional depth. Add a dash of spicy tension and boom—your overnight reading obsession is born.

Let’s talk Owen. The man is running (literally) from a life of luxury and manipulation straight into the arms of a strong, older, capable woman with a daughter who could charm a rock. And honestly? He’s deliciously soft yet determined, like a cinnamon roll that hits the gym. Is he a little too perfect? Maybe. Do we care? Absolutely not.

Jade, our badass pilot heroine and single mom, doesn’t need saving—but she sure deserves someone who shows up. And Owen? Shows up. With open arms and bonus father-figure energy. Poppy, the child, is the ultimate scene-stealer and mini-matchmaker rolled into one. Cute kid trope? Executed to dangerously high levels of reader attachment.

It’s giving “Hallmark but make it sexy,” with actual stakes and an emotional gut punch or two. The twist of a runaway groom (not bride) is refreshing and, frankly, overdue. Ladies have been running in white dresses for decades—it’s time the men took a turn.

Triggers: controlling/toxic family dynamics, emotionally manipulative parents, arranged marriage pressure, estrangement
Spice Level: 🍑🍑 (Soft burn with emotional intimacy and some steam—enough to warm your toes but not fog your glasses.)
Rating: 4.5 runaway grooms out of 5

Final thought? Owen may have been the one fleeing, but you’ll be the one emotionally wrecked and hopelessly in love by chapter five.

📚BOOK REVIEW & COMING SOON 📚

Owen - @vhnicolsonauthor

"I like you first the way you are"

"The love between you two is exquisite"

"You're my everything"

I have now come to the end of the Castleview Cove series with the last of the boys being Owen.

I have to be honest and say that I was a little nervous going into this book because Owen does not come across well in the previous books, Lincoln and especially in Jacob. But I'm always in good hands with @vhnicolsonauthor and she is a master of her craft because within a few chapters I was in love with Owen which only grew as the book went on.

Without giving away spoilers, everything that you think you know about Owen is not true and he more than redeems himself in this story. He runs away from a marriage that his parents are trying to force him into and whilst on the run to Cyprus he meets Jade, the hotshot military pilot. From the moment he meets her he's a goner but not just for her, also for her little girl, Poppy.

Owen is dealing with a lot and we find out why he is the way he is. Jade was the perfect partner to give him his confidence back. She was great and I loved reading about the military parts of the book. We also learnt that Owen isn't the selfish guy we once thought he was and Jade sees him for him which allows him to be vulnerable with her. And when he stands up for Jade and Poppy in certain situations, you're gonna need a fan because it is mighty hot how he protects what will become his.

This beautiful story of learning to forgive yourself for past mistakes, learning to love yourself and then finding pure happiness was a great read. The personal growth was done so well and it was fantastic seeing Owen get his happily ever after. It completed the series perfectly and confirmed that these three guys have a firm place in my heart. I also liked how we got Lincoln, Jacob and Owen together in part of the book and we got their friendship shining through also. It's sad saying goodbye to Castleview Cove but I know I will revisit these characters again and again. I already have with Lincoln and Jacob. So Owen will be no different.

Im ashamed to say that this was the first book ive read from VH. Her writing is phenomenal. Obviously I dont know how Owen was in the other books but it can be read as a standalone as we’re given glimpses of what Owen was like previously - towards his ex & his upbringing. Compared to now. Please dont let the fact that this is the last in the series put you off, this is 1million percent worth a read!!

Owen is a runaway groom (!) who hides in Cyprus with a family member. He meets Jade and wow! If you want a strong badass FMC then here she is. Jade is incredible. A single mom, fast jet pilot.. I adored her! This was insta-love done perfectly. It isnt cringy or rushed. Its beautiful and heartwarming. They were so well matched. Accepting, building each other up, supportive. Honestly, I dont think my heart stood a chance, it soured to unreachable heights, flipped and dropped alongside theirs. This is fast paced and kept me hooked. I was so glad I had a busy weekend planned and couldnt devour this. But I didnt want to put it down at all. Every detail, the interactions and connections with every character.. and Little Popadoodle was the icing. I didnt want to read ‘The End’

Lets talk spice. I need a scotsman called Owen because what that man can do. Flutters is an understatement. The scenes in this were sensational. I feel bad calling it smut or spice because this was erotica and it was beautiful. It felt intimate (even though it wasnt all gentle, this guy knew what he was doing) I def got a bit green eyed. I cant swim but I would happily get into that water and somehow get round Aphrodites Rock three times if my wish of my own Owen would be granted.

I haven't read the previous books in this series, but I don't think it mattered. In many ways, this story is a bit of a reversal of what we often get in romances. Owen is running away from the expectations of his family. He meets an older woman, Jade, who has a daughter, Poppy. Jade is also an aerobatics pilot with the RAF. (The Red Arrows, but I'm assuming that they can't be mentioned by name.) She's the first ever female to have done this (in reality, there has only been one female pilot so far).
I really liked Owen and Jade as a couple, and I loved Owen's relationship with Poppy even more; he's great with her. I also liked the slight twist of an older and sorted (career-wise at least) woman with a slightly younger and still finding his way man. They made a good match.
I did think that some of the issues that they faced were dealt with a little too quickly. It was nice that there wasn't some kind of misunderstanding or breakdown of the relationship, as usually happens two-thirds to three-quarters of the way through this kind of book. It made a refreshing change.
My only slight issue with this book is that it's British characters, a British Author but full of Americanisms and language (diaper, Mom, etc., etc.) I actually thought to begin with that somehow an American woman was flying for the RAF somehow. I assume that this was down to the publisher. It was a shame.
Overall, this was a great read and one I really enjoyed.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

Owen Brodie....
OMG! We already saw glimpses of him in previous books, but you're just not prepared what VH Nicolson did with Owen!
I love him!

It was the last part of Jacob, the second book in this series, where I totally wanted to see more of Owen.
What's his history, why did he run away at the altar when he was supposed to marry Evangelina?
I needed answers, specifically: who IS the REAL Owen?
I got all my answers and more in this amazing last book of this Boys of CastleView Cove series.

After Owen escaped him marrying to Cyprus, he found Jade. A Royal Air Force pilot.
She's a fiery woman Owen needed.
Even though she's 8 years older and has a very cute daughter, there's insta love and lust all over!

Without any money, place to stay, Jade is there for him all the time.
We get to see the real Owen and he's just a great lover and man!
The love he has for others... oh my! Even though he didn't show it in previous books (hello Skye and Jacob!), he changed for the good.
Jade and Poppy have this amazing effect on him.
And Mari, Jade's mother, is the loving mother Owen always needed and wanted.

Loved the suspense in this book. And the conversation Owen had with Know almost at the end.... oh my!! PERFECTION!!

I totally loved this book! And find it hard to let these boys go, so hopefully we might see some of them in future books.
Right now I enjoyed every single one of them.

Tropes:
- runaway groom
- single mom
- reverse age gap
- insta love/lust
- royal air force
- great FMC and MMC

5 stars!!
