Imagine finding your person and feeling like you’ve won. Like this person was specifically created for you. That is a love we don’t get to experience much but I, Scarlette Jones, must be the universe’s favorite because that’s exactly what I got. Brian is everything I could ever ask for but yet I couldn’t keep myself from wondering about what could have been with a person from my past. Life is funny that way, you can have everything that you could dream of but still crave more because it’s not enough or maybe it’s just not what you want anymore.
Do you paint a smile on your face and carry on like you’re happy or do you satisfy those cravings? Do you satisfy them even when you know you shouldn’t? The mind has a way of tricking us to believe what we want to believe as opposed to what we should believe. My physical may be with one man, but my soul is craving another. Every fiber of my being is craving Kingsley and as wrong as that may be, I don’t feel bad about it.
This is a short read. This book had no real plot or purpose. The characters were blah. Shannon got the short end of the stick, because regardless of why she got with King she was loyal to HIM. Scarlette was ehhh. As quick as the story started to even pick up steam it was over. Plot was incomplete. What happen to the bad drugs? Glad I didn’t pay for this. This is the 2nd book I’ve ready from the author and the last.
I didn’t know what to expect at the beginning. Then with a few unexpected twists and turns, it came out to be one of the most eventful, emotional, ghetto love stories ever lol! I think we’ve all went through that “the one that got away” phase but in this instance, love brought these two back together. Loved it!
Omg! With friends like Tracy who needs Enemies? I’m glad Scar and King found their way back to each other. I’m also Scar had friends like she did now that’s true friendship.
A good read with likeable, interesting, characters. Their journey to love and happiness had a few stumbling blocks. But not a lot of drama. They both got involved with others that couldn't make them happy.
