A Scottish warlock, a Transylvanian sorcerer, a Native American shaman, and Merlin the warlock all play their part in twelve exquisitely illustrated tales from Europe and North America.

It's always interesting to hear tales from other cultures and here are stories from Germany, North America, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Czechoslovakia, and Transylvania. The book has lovely illustrations and each tale is full of wonder. Young readers will find magical delights in these pages. My main complaint is that the vast majority of these tales presented the wizards in a negative light, with only very few showing a more positive or helpful nature. Still I feel this book would be enjoyed by many and should not hesitate to be enjoyed.
