Nothing Two murdered cops. A lone policewoman. One suspect-Jack Widow. A cool night, in the middle-of-nowhere, in a vast county in New Mexico, a lone patrolwoman comes across a pair of dead cops sitting in their cruiser. And who does she find standing over their corpses? A giant, lone drifter with one stark trait; he is menacing, like a nightmare. His name? Jack Widow.

The They want her dead. But there's a problem. Jack Widow stands in the way. Widow walks the side of the road at night when a pair of headlights is headed his way. It's the first car in hours. With a thumb out, he hopes to get a ride. But when the car drives erratically at high speeds, Widow dodges, nearly being rammed to death. The driver barrels the car into a tree. It turns out the driver had a heart attack. Waiting for help to arrive, the driver enlists Widow's help. The driver is a US Marshal. He was on his way to stop an attack on one of his witnesses. She's been in the witness relocation program, hiding, living a new life. Now, they know who she is. They want her dead. Her only hope is her new protector-Widow.

Kill Promises are meant to be kept. Especially a promise like this. Jack Widow is a submarine watcher near Kitsap Naval Base, outside of Seattle, when he meets an old friend, a sailor, who takes him to a prestigious medal ceremony where Lou Cosay, a highly decorated former sailor turned NCIS agent, is receiving the Navy Cross. The ceremony is attended by admirals, journalists, politicians, indigenous groups, and the Secretary of the Navy, but when Cosay doesn't show up, everyone becomes worried. Widow sets out to find her and discovers that she has vanished without a trace. He follows a lead to Sawyer Lake, North Dakota, a remote and secretive place, where he uncovers deadly secrets.* This is one paperback containing three books.

What's in Sawyer Lake? A promise. A promise that must be kept. A promise to kill.

About the author

USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLER - Scott Blade is a Nomadvelist, a drifter and author. He writes the bestselling Jack Widow book series, two of which reached the Top 100 list on Amazon, knocking Harry Potter & Jack Reacher off the top spots, which angered one of the big publishers. Scott wears that fact as a badge of honor.

Scott Blade isn't a traditional novelist who spends his time stuck behind a computer desk in some dreary office. He truly walks the walk. He drifts around like the nomad he writes about, touring the world, writing mysteries and searching for the perfect coffee.

Makes me want to stay Home forever

The type off people the widow runs into are pure evil. I don't know that if want to take road trips unless I had Widow as a body. This book is as good as the other16 books. Fast moving, good people and of course bad people. Situations that I pray I never run into

This Jack Widow series was very entertaining!!!

Just finished this series of books & I highly recommend it to any fans of the Reacher books. This new anti-hero lives by the code "do what's right". Hope to read more from this author!!!

Full of action

Scott Blade's novels are good. But sadly there are always many mistakes. He should get a good human editor, not just trust Word corrector to spot his mistakes. It'd be showing a little respect for his readers.

If you liked the early Jack Reacher books, you'll love the Scott Blade book. Start at book one and work your way through. The character and writing just gets better and better!

Action packed and riveting. The main character has depth, not just a bully or someone who thinks all problem need to be resolved by violence. I have been binge reading this series and find it refreshing that each book has a unique set of circumstances.
