Wow! This book was not at all what I expected in all the best possible ways. Sexy, sweet, action-packed…I just thought it would be a short, smutty little read for me to fall asleep to on a Sunday night. Imagine my surprise when I was trying to read it at work the next day in between calls (I finally had to give up because each *BEEP* of interruption in my ear pissed me off that much further!).

I can’t wait to check out K.C.’s backlog now, who knows what other gems of hers I may have overlooked?? Honestly I think she may want to consider changing the title of this book (the “Daddy” thing could turn some people off and it isn’t a true representation of what the story is about AT ALL).

This was an exciting story, full of suspense, action, drama, twists and a fab steamy romance. Raquel and Gabriel were perfect together and their chemistry was smoking hot. She was beyond resourceful and it was fun seeing her thinking process. She really was a strong character. I loved the pseudo Robin Hood idea behind the heists and was really on my toes to see how things would unfold. It was a page turner for me and can't wait for what's next by this author :D

Raquel (h), a safecracker for the Red Raven crew, escapes when a heist goes wrong and she’s turns to Gabriel (H), a former member of the crew, for refuge. He wants to help his friend’s daughter but also has to think of his own young daughter. As Gabriel spends more time getting to know Raquel things heat up between the two and he finds himself embroiled in a life he left behind. Lots of action and adventure as Gabriel and Raquel face betrayals and danger as they try to save her father in this single dad, age gap romance.

OMG, I LOVE THIS STORY. There is no fluff just strategy, fast thinking in a crisis, and nerves of steel. Oh yea, and throw in all that animal magnetism between Gabriel (aka Pierre or Foxtrot) and Raquel (aka Rocky) you get quite an adventure. Raquel is the star of the show. Though young, Raquel is smart, determined, daring, loyal, kind, brave, and beautiful with a huge heart. Her beloved dad, Chester (Chet) is a master thief, kind of a modern-day Robin Hood. His gang steals priceless objects that were acquired illegally then turns their heist into cash to help poor unfortunate people. Recently Raquel joined the crew as their safe-cracker but their last job went belly up. Bombs, deaths, and backstabbing, leaves Raquel as the only one to make it out. Dad sent her to safety with his old partner.
Gabriel is stunned by the beauty at his door. He has created a life for himself and his little daughter Odette away from a criminal life. He agrees to hide Raquel for a short time but somehow he gets intertwined in a mission to rescue Chet and it all goes downhill from here on. The action never lets up. I loved the characters, all seem richly developed. Gabriel and Raquel fall in love, thank God! This GREAT STORY has you following them around beautiful Paris and Germany hobnobbing with the rich and corrupt. I received a free advanced copy of this story and am happy to share my thoughts. This was an enjoyable read and all the characters had me on the edge with the twist and turns and danger that surrounded them at every turn. Raquel (rock) is a safe cracker and her dad Chester is a thief and they are part of the Red Raven Crew who take from the rich and give to the poor but the rich stole it first but on this last job everything went wrong a bomb went off and her dad tells her to run as she watches her dad get captured and go to his best friend Gabriel for help. Gabriel (Pierre / foxtrot) is a single dad who left the Red Raven Crew for his daughter Odette who is his life now but when a knock at the door turns his world upside down and in walks his best friends daughter Raquel who is gorgeous and takes his breath away but she’s here for help and so I hide her out for a couple days while we come up with a plan to rescue her dad and the longer she stay the more he is fighting the temptation and his desires. Staying with Gabriel has me falling for him, he is sexy and smart and his daughter is is so cute and we get on well but her father is pushing all my buttons and my body wants him bad. When his daughter is kidnapped he will do anything to get her back and so there mission just got bigger and more dangerous. How does it all work out and do they rescue there loved ones and do they have a relationship and a future together or not.

Daddy's Obsession is an interesting title for this book because it didn't seem to match the storyline, other than that I loved Gabriel and Raquel's story. This is a love story with great characters, intrigue, danger, suspense, drama, steam, and unexpected twists that pulled me into the story and held my attention from beginning to end. This is a great addition to the Silver Fox Daddies series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Love on the Run

Raquel McHale—“Rocky”, a petite woman in her early 20’s was an exceptionally intelligent and strikingly beautiful woman with deep brown eyes and long black hair. But even more fascinating than her physical beauty and intelligence was her most unusual upbringing and life. Her dad, Chester—Chet McHale a professional robber who had begun as a con artist, had over the years, morphed into a modern-day Robin Hood, leading his gang of highly skilled thieves—The Red Ravens—currently operating in Europe seeks to redistribute the vast wealth of a few to meet the needs of the many impoverished of society. With each member having assigned tasks—Raquel’s specialty unlocking any lock—used her infallible memory to retain designs, blue prints and the idiosyncrasies of a myriad of locks at the ready to support her dad and the other team members.

But on the team’s most recent Paris job something goes terribly wrong when an explosion rocks the site, killing 3 of the members instantly and leaving Raquel and her dad Chet dazed, bruised and in perilous danger, especially when the getaway driver doesn’t appear.

Acting quickly as sirens blare, Chet sends daughter Rocky out of the window to escape, giving her directions to a village located miles outside of Paris where she is to seek help and protection from a friend and former team member Gabriel Lacroix, now known as Pierre Rochefort, a handsome man with cropped chestnut brown hair, green eyes, and a strong jaw accentuated by a seductive five o’clock shadow. Gabe, in his early 40’s—the age of her dad—seemed to be stoic man whose primary language was French, but who spoke English with a very slight French accent.

Raquel also notices that peering behind the handsome man was a sweet imp, his daughter Odette, 5-yrs-old—Gabe was a dad. And while shyness from young child at a first encounter is not unusual, Odette’s silence was more troubling, and Raquel soon learns the sweet girl’s story. Two years earlier, an even younger Odette, had stopped speaking after she and her mom were in a car accident in which mom was killed.

As a result, the innocent child had experience far more than any child should experience, so now, Gabe was most resistant to exposing his daughter to any trauma or danger—and giving aid and assistance to the injured and bruised Raquel were pushing the limits of his friendship with the injured Raquel’s dad. But Gabe’s impending hard “no” is postponed when the beautiful, injured and bruised young woman takes the choice away from him as she collapses into his arms in his open doorway.

KC Crowne has once again woven a delightful romance, linking physical danger with the danger love brings to a safely guarded heart. Crowne launches her storytelling to all new levels as she allows her reader to experience the jolts of tense danger and the electricity of forbidden love between the beautiful young safecracker and her dad’s older former associate.

This was a good read by KC Crowne and had a lot of steam and action. Kind of reminded me of the Italian Job but doing things for good, in a way. Raquel has joined her fathers Red Raven group of master criminals and when a job goes wrong she is sent to find Gabriel. Gabriel stepped away for that life is now living a peaceful life in the French country with his daughter Odette. Until the past comes crashing into Gabriel’s front drive and must keep a promise to his previous partner who saved his life. Now it’s not that simple just it let Raquel recover and may low. The Red Ravens are double crossed, Rocky’s dad is taken hostage and she is meant to give the McHale fortune to her former counterpart. Raquel never new about this fortune and sets off to find it to get her dad back. Gabriel runs into trouble as well as a man he put in jail is out and kidnapped his daughter, wanting the money too. They team up to track down the codes to the offshore accounts and have issues, danger, and an attraction they can’t deny.

In this book Raquel (Rocky) and her father are part of a group called Red Raven where they rob from the very wealthy and distribute to the poor. At one such heist there was a large bomb that killed 3 members of their group. The bomb injures Rocky and her father. As Rocky and her father try to escape he tells her to go to his friend for protection. Rocky goes to Gabriel’s house and begins to recuperate. While there she begins to get close to his daughter and is extremely attracted to Gabriel. Gabriel is also feeling that attraction but doesn’t want to act on it because she is his friend’s daughter. He is also out of the crime game and really doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore.
As things between Gabriel and Rocky heat up there is another element that is exposed and Rocky must leave to take care of it.
This was a great action packed book. Loved the sizzling heat between these two characters. There were some steamy sexy moments between our main characters. Great story very engaging.

The surprises just keep coming in this action packed story that travels over several European countries. There will be times you cannot tell the good guys from the bad guys. The Red Ravens steal from the rich that have prospered from ill gotten gains to give to the poor. They are double crossed by one of their own. As a result, the youngest member, Raquel was sent running into the arms of a retired member, Gabriel where they have to plan the heist of the century to save the lives of her father and his daughter from two different factions. The problem was Raquel did not know Gabriel's daughter was being held hostage for the same fortune as her father. She thought he was helping her out of the kindness of his heart so she trusted him completely. They grew closer together. Until, the day before the heist, and she overheard the ruse. Enjoy this fabulously romantic suspense that will keep you totally in thralled until the very end.

Gabriel and Raquel are amazing together. He's sexy, mature and just what any hot blooded female wants, but Raquel is no shy wall flower. This thief stole Gabriel's heart in no time at all. The chemistry between the two is amazing from the start. Running from the police, Raquel shows up on Gabriel's doorstep looking for someone to keep her safe. Knowing her father, his former partner in crime, sent her to him, made Gabriel think twice about his actions but he started developing feelings for her almost immediately. It didn't hurt that his young daughter who had not spoken in two years started speaking again. He knew Raquel was special.
This story had the right amount of steamy hot scenes with equal amounts of action and danger. No unnecessary drama. Story was well written and interesting. I could not put it down because it kept me intrigued. KC did it again! I love it!.

Raquel is part of her father's gang as a thief. She is the safe cracker. However, when a job goes bad, her father sends her into hiding. She ends up at the home of a previous gang member who has gone straight. Gabriel lives with his daughter and has changed his name to hide his identity. He doesn't want Raquel in his home near his daughter but cannot help being attracted to her.
When Raquel receives a threat on her fathers life, she and Gabriel end up working together to help rescue him. But Gabriel has secret he has been keeping, he needs to double cross Raquel in order to save his daughter. But will spending time so close to each other make him change his plans. What will Raquel do when she discovers his deception, especially when she finds out that she is pregnant with his baby.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

This book has so much more than I expected. It has the father/daughter heist crew who get double crossed by one of their own which causes them to be separated. When Chet sends Raquel to his long time friend Gabriel, he never expects things to go the way they do.
Chet is being held in exchange for a fortune that Raquel never knew about but his captor isn't the only one who wants it. Which put Gabriel in the middle when his young daughter is taken as well.
This book has exciting heists as well as steamy sex scenes between Raquel and Gabriel. It takes you from Paris to Germany and back again and even to America. Great storyline and amazing characters. Definitely worth the read.

This was a great story! I loved Raquel and Gabriel’s characters. So often when you read stories, you either get the damsel in distress (which is over done to the max) or the want to be bad girl who tries WAY too hard. I love that Raquel knows her strengths and can acknowledge her weaknesses. Gabriel is such a loving father and also caring when working with Raquel. The side characters were great as well, and I loved that they stood out in their own right rather than just being another background character. The plot was easy to follow and moved the story along beautifully. I found myself not wanting it to end as the story drew to a close. I would absolutely recommend this story!

Raquel and the Red Ravens are on a heist when it all goes badly wrong following an explosion. With just her and her father moving he tells her to go and find Gabriel who used to be a Red Raven. Injured she finds Gabriel but nothing is simple and in order to save her father she has to locate her father's fortune using ciphers with Gabriel's help and try to find a way to beat the two men who threaten and hold those who both of them hold dear. I really enjoyed reading this. Full of intrigue, suspense, twists and turns this book will be one that you won't be able to put down so be prepared for a late night.

An exciting action packed suspense filled older man younger woman romance story.When a job goes terribly wrong Rachael/Rocky is torn between staying an trying to help the others until her father tells her to find Gabriel a friend who will keep her safe until he can reach her.He pushes het out the window an she lands on several used mattresses in a truck pasting by.Gabriel now know as Pierre has spent the last twenty years hoping to forge this past life.His daughter hasn't spoken since the accident that killed her mother.Will he help the beautiful yet bloody young woman on his steps.There are so many twists an turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

I couldn't put this story down. I couldn't wait to see what happened next for Raquel and Gabriel. Raquel works with her father as part of his international crew when a heist goes terribly wrong. He sends her to the one person who could keep her safe. Gabriel left that life a long time ago but he can't turn down his friend's request. He doesn't expect to be attracted to his friend's daughter though. When she gets better, she discovers that is her father now needs help. She must find something in order to get him back. Gabriel is pulled back in the criminal life for another reason as well. Will they be able to figure things out and get have a chance for a happy ending?

Raquel and her father have been sabotaged. Right in a middle of a jod something goes horribly wrong. Her father tells her to go to the one person that he trusts. Raquel manages to meet Gabriel and isn't prepared for the attraction. Gabriel thought his days of secrets and lies were long behind him. He wants nothing but to love and protect his daughter and in walks this woman. Gabriel and Raquel have a common goal but a different end game. Though one thing is for sure is their chemistry is undeniable. Both spent their lives preparing but they could never prepared themselves for just how much they would mean to each other. The ending was full of drama and intensity. It was almost like an old school spy movie. The ending was surprising and very enjoyable.

Okay, I am not a big fan of books with “Daddy” in the title because it’s a bit ick for me. But I knew I had to read this after checking out an excerpt on FB. And I’m a huge KC Crowne fan! This book had thieves, age gap (no daddy stuff though, despite the title), betrayal, adventure. I couldn’t put it down! And swoony, silver Fox French guy (Gabriel) teaming up with Raquel, his former partner’s daughter to save him? They had amazing chemistry throughout the story, and may be my favorite book couple of this author to date! Loved this book- if you have never picked up this author the book is a stand-alone and a great one to start with.

In this book we meet Raquel McHale & Gabriel Lacriox. After a job gone wrong that almost kills her Raquel runs to the one man her father tells her will keep her safe Gabriel. Though her father is determined to get to the bottom of who tried to kill them all she tried all she can in her own way. Gabriel has come a long way since his days in the crew but he owes a debt and he is determined to pay it. Little did he know it would come in the form of a beautiful woman. Can these two find a HEA or will the person trying to kill the crew make sure she isn't a survivor that they miss?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

The title of the book is a little deceiving, but it is a great book. Never a dull moment, it starts off exciting and it is that way throughout the entire book. The book is very in-depth. You know exactly what’s going on, the descriptions are brilliant, and the characters are so amazing. The main characters are Raquel and Gabriel. That is the love story that is this book, but if there was ever a relationship that had its ups and downs, and had to make it through hell and back, it was theirs. There are enemies where you would not see them, and there were friends in a place you never thought you’d find them. And five year old Odette puts fun and love in the story. It’s a rough life out there, but there is love, family, friends, and an ending. That is just so perfect for the book.

This books pulls you in from page one as Raquel and her fathers "Robin Hood" crews heist goes wrong leaving some dead and her and her father go separate ways until things calm down. Her father sends her to Gabriel who is her fathers old crew member and also the same age but that does not prevent Raquel and Gabriel from falling for each other. There is danger, betrayal and suspense as this story unravels all with Raquel and Gabriel try to save her father and his daughter before it is too late. Loved this book and the characters.

Daddy's Obsession is book eleven in the series Silver Fox Daddies by author K.C. Crowne. Intense- intrigued- action packed- suspenseful and steamy as heck. There’s a quest of sorts and a rescue must be made- only there’s a hitch. You see this is like a fairytale- Robin Hood. Only there’s a couple of “King John’s” and they are ruthless. Plenty of “Robin Hood’s” too- and they have their work cut out for them. Secrets could bring everything down on their heads. There is one secret you won’t see coming and it crazy.
Enjoy!!.

What a book to start the year!
Raquel - a talented lock pick - gets hurt when a heist goes south, her father tells her to find Gabriel who will keep her safe. When they meet there’s instant hot attraction between them. Both have to get a USB drive with information to get their loved ones out of harm’s way. Raquel’s father is taken by a member of his team; Gabriel’s daughter is abducted by a former member of their team who is out to get revenge. The whole story is a page-turner - loved every word of it!
I highly recommend everyone to read this book!.

Raquel and Gabriel meet under less than ideal circumstances, but that doesn't stop the heat erupting between them.

Raquel escapes a heist gone wrong, her father having sent her to Gabriel to keep safe. She is a power house of energy, with a surprisingly upbeat outlook on life. He is a calm, contained, oh so capable older man.

With all the international bad guys out to get them and betrayal and secrets aplenty it is surprising that they manage to form such a hot, sweet relationship.

Another amazing, page turning, steamy, action packed romance from Ms Crowne.

The only bad thing about this book is that the title doesn't really match the story. Raquel is part of a heist crew run by her father. They rob from criminals and give to the needy. When things go massively wrong, her father sends her to Gabriel for protection. He's out of the heist profession and living a quiet life with his young daughter.

There is danger, intrigue, violence, and betrayal plus plenty of heat between Gabriel and Raquel. The story is incredibly fast-paced and includes some twists. I thoroughly enjoyed this action romance.

An action packed story that will have you hooked. Raquel finds herself in trouble and on her way to her dad’s friend, Gabriel, for help. Raquel has never met Gabriel but is pleasantly surprised when she meets him and realises how hot he is. However, with Raquel’s father in trouble she has no option but to help him, and with Gabriel’s help it looks like they may succeed, however Raquel doesn’t realise that Gabriel is going against her in the final part of their plan. A really great book with lots of drama, twists and turns, passion and a few surprises along the way! Great book!.

Things become complicated when Gabriel keeps things from her.
Can they steal the item and rescue her father? Will Gabriel's secret affect her?

Raquel is in the Red Raven Crew and when a heist goes sideways on them her father sends her to Gabriel for help. Gabriel has been out of the game for a while and is shocked when Raquel shows up at his place. Gabriel worries about her bringing danger to him and his daughter. However, he helps her which will lead the people after her to him. Will they be able to get out of this safely? Will this turn into something more between them?

This is a great story that will hook you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Really enjoyed reading an age gap story revolving danger, kidnapping and love.

Raquel was a member of the Red Ravens, a group of thieves that basically stole from the rich criminals and shared the spoils with the poor. Gabriel was once the leader before he retired and raising his daughter who hasn’t spoken in two years after the death of her mother. After a heist had gone wrong and Raquel almost killed, her father sent her to Gabriel for protection. Raquel’s daddy and Gabriel’s daughter was kidnapped and Raquel had to find the vase with the passcodes to her fathers fortune to save her family. Beautiful love story with a happy ever after.
