I was supposed to seduce the dragon king, but before I could, he claimed me as his.
Now I’m chained to him, trapped in an ancient mating process I neither want nor understand.
I’ve got to get out, but there’s only one way to do that now—and it involves a much more permanent type of shackle.
I have no idea what will happen if I agree to be the king’s mate, but one thing's for sure…
My life will never be the same again.
*This steamy romantic fantasy series was lightly inspired by Beauty and the Beast. This omnibus contains the complete Burning Kingdom series, individual books titled The Dragon King's Mate, The Dragon King's Hate, and The Dragon King's Fate.
Hi, I’m Lola! I’m a book lover with a *slight* romance obsession. My books are all steamy romantic fantasy or paranormal romance, and there is always a happily ever after.

Very good story. The only problem is that they never explain why the dragons and vampires left the mountain kingdom and why the shifters went to war and why they were burning the monsters and what happened to the vampire queen and why all vampires were put in the hollows and not just the bad ones.
This is a fun series by Lola Glass that follows two main characters through all three books so there’s a bit more strife than usual but I loved it just as much
This trilogy is probably one of my favorites. While it does have two main characters, the support characters develop stories of their own right alongside. There are no over the top bad guys, though there are some seriously screwed up families. There aren't chapters upon chapters of sex just to fill pages. However, the steamy bits are pretty amazing and actually add to the growth of the characters. Friendships develop in a natural way, families are built by choosing to live one another and fated mates have to work just as hard as us mere mortals. Definitely going to mourn the end of this series. Maybe we will get a novella from the monsters perspective to tell us about the kingdom in the mountains and how the "monsters" are enjoying life.
An engaging series, with complex charcaters and intricate world building, that had me visualising the scenes with ease.
My heartstrings were tugged as I eagerly turned pages and moved from book to book to find out what happens next.
The story evolved and deepened as the connections between the characters; and my understanding of them developed. I was taken out of my world and thrown into the world of the burning kingdom and scorched by the chemistry and spice.
I was disappointed when it concluded and would have loved a lengthier epilogue which just states how much i enjoyed being apart of their world.
Book 1 review. The story is interesting, but the utter lack of communication between the main characters is frustrating. I also don’t understand the dynamics of the different populations.
Book 2 - I’m glad this series was released as a collection. I hate cliffhangers and I’m not impressed with Seren’s decisions.
Overall - this series was much sadder than I expected. The joy didn’t seem as authentic as the sorrow and the happy ending was kind of stuck on. I follow this author, but I recommend reading one of her other series.
I thought this was a cute story. Some parts were predictable, as is often the case. There were some lose ends that bothered me, but I’m odd that way. (I don’t like any blanks left. As an example, when an item is introduced into a story, I want to know why and how it fit in within the larger storyline). But continuity was great, and there were no conflicting facts.
I like the rotating POV style more than this, but it was still a fun read.
I absolutely loved this series. I was hooked and I was reading everywhere, anywhere i could get a few minutes of these 2 and i loved the supporting characters as well. The fact that they experienced everything together for the first time made it so much better. Ive left it on my kindle so i can go back to it and re-read which i never do.

To be honest, since I discovered Lola Glass I havnt put one of her books down. I have been going through every series like crazy but this has to be one of my favourites. I loved every aspect and every twist n turn. Thankyou for giving me such a magical place to disappear into.
This series is definitely meatier/deeper than most other books by this author. Same easy, enjoyable writing style and same spice level (high). There were a few loose ends/ questions/ things that didn’t quite add up that bumped this down to 4 stars. Overall, still very enjoyable. Along the lines of Trial of the Sun Queen but without the page length or the trials.
I love this trilogy so to have all the books together like this is such a pleasure. There is so much in this story, I laughed, cried and swooned my way through it. I highly recommend this story and it is great to have it all in one place. Xx
Greatest shifter story I have read and I have read a few. Almost feels like this story was the ancient stories that are the past of all the other shifter stories. Romance, heroism, and strength to rise to the challenges.
Love your work... Highly recommend this trilogy!! I've been blazing thru these complete series and this is my favorite by far. Very unique storylines with surprises and of course character growth!
Just enough adventure, villains, and romance to make the series a page turner. Enjoyed reading the fantasy brought to life. Keep writing and I will keep reading your work. Thanks for the laughter and the tears.
This trilogy 10 out of 10 would highly recommend it so well written, such a good the storyline, the romance the spice🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. It was literally addicted to this book for the two days. I loved it.
So this series started slow. Vampires and dragons, ok... but a new one for me. Throw in classic fantasy and standard fae characteristics and that's the basics. Then the final book was wow. Female empowerment, family, trust, betrayal, deeply connected love, found family, devotion, honor, leadership, self searching...I cried over the heartbreak of the vampire , me! What? That one snuck up on me.
