Lieutenant Tiana Reid is used to life or death situations. But finding a man in a ancient castle who has been stabbed with a sword isn’t the usual mission. Even so, her medical training takes over as she treats his wound. But when the clan of the castle find them, she learns they want nothing to do with her patient.
Kendric MacRoss hadn’t expected a warm welcome but a cowardly attack had been unthinkable. Imprisoned in the keepe he had once called home, he must find a way to convince his brethren of his intentions. But the gorgeous healer at his side complicates matters, more than he could have known.
Although the Fire Sword may have some secret purpose for Tiana, Kendric is sure of one he will never let her go.
Hazel and her husband stopped being separate people years ago. They live their happy life in the always crowded, mostly sunny, and sometimes sweltering city of LA. Though they haven’t managed it yet, plans are afoot to add a kitty to the household, thereby giving the allergist fits.
Hazel has been writing full-time for several years, with some traditionally published work in other genres. But it’s her indie-published romance that fuels the creative fire. It turns out writing isn’t a job, it’s an obsession.
When you can pry Hazel’s fingers from the laptop, you’ll find her: on the elliptical watching a documentary, indulging her audiobook habit, or spending quality time with Candy Crush. Although she’s vegan, she’s a disaster in the kitchen. Luckily, potato chips and pinot noir come ready-made.
Wow, I’ve been waiting for Kendric’s story to find out what happened between him and the clan ten years prior when he was exiled..and this story did not disappoint❣️
Tiana is a part of the Coast Guard Search and Rescue when she suddenly finds herself with a skeleton and then back in fourteenth century Scotland, with a big and buff Highlander who is injured. Kendric had returned to the clan to clear his name only to find himself stabbed in the back and hidden😢
So many revelations in this story that definitely kept me guessing and also enjoying the interactions more. It was also different in a way from the others….but I’ll leave you to find that out for yourself. I’m excited to see who the Fire Sword brings back next and more about Taveon🤩
I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
I have been waiting to find out what really happened to Kendric, and we finally get a chance to see what really happened.
LT. Tiana Reid is part of Search & Rescue for the Coast Guard. She loves her job however her last rescue does not end well. Her helicopter is going down and she prepares for a crash landing however, her partner pushes her out of the chopper, and she finds herself in completely different century.
Kendric has been gone for 10 years from his home being accused of something that he never really did. He has finally come home. When Tiana finds Kendric with a sword sticking out of back the first thing she does and help him. When Tiana and Kendric go to the MacRoss castle they are met with a lot of hostility and his brothers want to kill him. Tiana being a protector she setups and doesn't let anyone come near Kendric until he is healed even when he is healed, she is still protecting him. She was brought back for a reason but as to the reason no one was really sure.
As Tiana and Kendric's story evolves the more things just keep happening that they really need to figure out before someone snaps and kills Kendric or even her. This was a really great read. I love all of these books but this one is exceptionally great. If you are looking for something that keeps you on your toes and think that nothing else can possibly happened, then this is the book for you.
I volintarily reviewed a copy of "KENDRIC" I love this Immortal Highlander Series each story just gets better & better. I've been wanting to read this story to know why things happened the way they did between Kendric & his brethren. LT. Tiana Reid works for Search & Rescue she use to dangerous situations but never thought she'd end in the past in an ancient castle with big buff Highlander who has been stabbed with a Sword her medical training she helps with his wounds. Kendric MacRoss didn't expect a warm welcome from the MacRoss Clan but a cowardly attack he never thought they'd do such a thing to him. Tiana finds out the Clan wants nothing to do with Kendric but maybe the Fire Sword has a secret reading for bring her there, she kind of complicates things for Kendric e needs to find a away to convince the MacRoss Clan who exiled him 10yrs ago what his intension are. I definitely recommend to get this interesting intriguing read so well written Kendric & Tiana take you on quite the adventure, will he convince his brethren, will they forgive him, will we find out why the Fire Sword brought Tiana to their time, will she & Kendric get a HEA, its a must read to see how things turn out. I'm so looking forward to "TAVEON'S" story next on this excellent series. AWESOME MUST HAVE READ 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Finally, we learn WHY Kendric was ostracized from the clan. This has a twist from the previous books in the series. Usually in this series an immortal clansman protects the woman who arrives from the future at Clan MacRoss. But in this book, Tiana, a military trained officer from the future, becomes the protector of Kendric, an ostracized clansman. As always, the woman arriving must figure out why the magical sword brought her back through time and then will be offered a return trip to her time. The characters are well developed by the author, and there are 3 story lines going on. Besides Kendric and Tiana, there is Revna & Struan who are developing a love relationship which began in the previous book. Then there’s Mairi, who we learn what her true character is little by little. She is a vindictive, spurned woman (the guy never realized she felt that way about him). As things progress, we learn that Mairi is also a thief, an imposter, is conniving, and a killer. Eventually things get sorted out. EXCEPT . . . the sword is gone again as this story ends. Next time, the last book and one more adventure initiated by the magical sword, the unanswered questions must get answered. I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave this review.
Kendric Immortal Highlander Clan MacRoss Book #4 Hazel Hunter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book starts off with Lieutenant Tiana Reid in action. She finds a man who has been stabbed with a sword in an ancient castle who she takes on as a patient immediately seeing to his wound. When the occupants of the castle find them, she learns they want nothing to do with her patient, but don't seem to feel the same way about her and to her utter disbelief they want her to believe she has fallen back through time. Ya right, like that just happens every day, so sje doesn't want to really believe that it's possible until she watches her patient heal very quickly.
Kendric MacRoss didn't expect a warm welcome, but to be attacked in such a cowerdly way is even worse. Now he finds himself imprisoned in the castle he once called home, and he must find a way to prove his innocence once and for all. That is not going to be an easy thing to prove.
Once again, Hazel Hunter proves that she is absolutely fabulous. This author takes time travel to a whole other level. This book had me from the start. Even when I was cooking, I found myself sneaking peeks to see what came next. This author knows exactly what her readers want, and she brings it to the table. Ms. Hunter, I can't wait to read the next book.
Fast paced story with some twists and turns that will keep the reader aching for more. When Tiana finds a skeleton in a ruined Scottish castle, with a sword in its back, little does she realise what will come next. Kendrick and Tiana are attracted to each other from the very beginning, but there are evil forces at work trying to get rid of them. Will good prevail? Can our heroic couple prove Kendrick’s innocence? I loved this book from the very first page and didn’t want it to end. This series is outstanding, and I have enjoyed every book so far. It is best to read these stories in order, so that the underlying mystery can unfurl as it does. Don’t miss this one. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Book 4 in the Immortal Highlander Clan MacRoss series is about the missing brother Kendric. He returns to the clan after being banished 10 years earlier. If you've read any of the other stories, you'll know that everyone in the clan hates him. This time the Fire Sward brings an officer from the Coast Guard to the clan. Like the others, we learn a little bit more about the Carrick clan and the threat that could be the end of both clans. I'm now invested in this series to see the outcome, but I do find some of the 'side stories' to be confusing. I'm sure all will become clear in book 5. 3.5 to 4 stars
Kendric and Tiana's story was well worth the wait. Ms Hunter did amazing job in bringing these two characters to fruition. I always wondered why Kendric became an outcast. The story was well written with twists and turns you don't see coming. Ms Hunter took me on an adventurous journey as always making me wanting more. She gives you just the right amount of steam and intrigue to keep you turning pages. I can't wait for the next one. I was given a free copy of this book and chose to voluntarily give a review.
I love a Highlander story ... and when it's penned from the mind of Ms. Hunter, I know it's going to be fantastic!! The MacRoss clan series is so good ... hunky Scottish warriors, in kilts!, intrigue, suspense and not just the everyday, same old same old plot. I was trying to figure out the twists and turns right up to the last page! Definitely recommend this book, this series and definitely this author!
This is such a fantastic read. I loved Tiana and the way she took charge and played the protector for Kendric. Of course there are plenty of twists, turns and surprises, and delicious steamy moments. I love this time-traveling series, and this book is a fabulous addition that brings answers to some questions from previous books.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
Love, hate, sex, betrayal, the bonds of family, born and chosen, A strong brooding hero with a mysterious weakness and a tragic past, and an even stronger heroine who has dedicated her life to saving others. And of course, magic. This book has it all, with lots of action, twists and turns, and a love story literally for the ages. Hazel Hunter paints a vivid story of the Scottish Highlands unlike anyone else.
I really enjoyed the new twist in this story, having Tiana being the one saving him was just amazing. The way in which this couple met, and the dynamic of the relationship was awesome. This is a great time travel that is outstanding! I Loved It!!! No Spoilers from me! I received an ARC from the Author and I am Leaving this Totally Honest Review because I Choose to and think that this is a Fantastic Story!!!
Tiana is a Lt. in a search and rescue mission group on a mission gone wrong when the Fire Sword brings her back to Kendric. There is quite a few other twists and turns in this book that keep you reading more. I cannot wait for the next book!
When the MacRoss clan is threatened the fire sword disappears. When it comes back to the 14th century it usually has a woman from the 21st century. That one is to help save the clan.
This is a very inventive and good read. The Fire Sword has brought Tiana to the past. She's so fierce and I loved how she takes on the highlanders. The evil living in the castle has done untold harm for decades. How the "charms" unravel bring down all they have worked for. This entire series is very good and i recommend it. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
How to describe this book.....entertaining, enthralling, enjoyable jump to mind. Can't wait for the next book. I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing
