Working in a library is any book lover’s dream, but one haunted by literary characters? Francie’s in heaven… until she’s forced to solve a murder before they throw the book at her...
HARDCOVERS, HOMICIDE AND HAIRBALLSBetween stopping Captain Ahab from wreaking havoc on aisle three and keeping her fussy feline familiar satisfied (he only eats wild-caught Pacific Salmon, thank you very much), Francie’s established a comfortable routine—which is just how she likes it. Until a historian is found dead in the Non-Fiction section and Francie’s life goes from cozy to mystery. Half the town saw Francie argue with the man only hours before he was murdered. The Werewolf Law Enforcement Brigade is eager to close the case, and with Francie as the prime suspect, she has to find the real killer or trade her beloved library for a jail cell...
LITERATURE, LARCENY AND LITTERBOXES When a visiting author winds up dead at a book signing, Francie’s best friend Penny is accused of the crime. Now she’s got to find the real killer before they strike again. Plus the ghost of Frankenstein (Victor, not his monster) is lurking in the Archives and he’s on the verge of a major scientific breakthrough. Maybe he can resurrect Francie’s love life, too…
CATALOGUES, CRIMINALS AND CATNIP A mysterious portal has opened up in town… and for once, Francie isn’t the one responsible. It’s just a run-of-the-mill portal to an alternate dimension, right? Nothing to worry about. Except when a rare book dealer turns up dead and Lizzie is the number one suspect. Meanwhile, there’s a catnip dealer out in the alleyways, harming the cat community with his ultra-strong new product. Good thing Kongressman Kittles is hot on the trail and ready to bring the scoundrel to justice...
This box set contains the first three full-length novels of this hilarious paranormal cozy mystery series. Get ready to fall in love with Kongressman Kittles, Francie and the whole magical town!
Hilarity, madness and mayhem abound in all 3 books with Kong (magical cat Kongressman Kittles thank you very much), librarian companion Francie has a wild time avoiding the void and her new found void magic thanks to her uncles “gift” of the void pendant.
Things go haywire, someone dies due to buying, then owning, and trying to READ the void books in their possession, so Francie needs help getting the books and tossing the wily buggers, hang on, INTO the Void. Yup, the one she is attempting to, VOID! bahahahaha! Dang it, that’s funny! Come on!
Hortensia, who is hiding her identity as a centuries old void witch and pretending she is someone else in a retirement home - maybe a witchiness protection program?? (it is a WILD and action packed witchy book and a hoot to boot, soooo much fun to read!) has to help Francie. This sounds like a supernatural uproariously fun soap opera and it IS!
Hortensia seems more of a post 70’s Christie Hines and the Pretenders vibe old rocker chic gal vibe for me. I could totally see it, with the aesthetic and vibe. Minus the eyeliner though. But the French chic looks totalllly. NOT the bathrobe - can’t do it! Eeeek.
Thoroughly enjoyed transitioning through all 3 of the stories and Francie - hope she gains personality and backbone and stands up to the high witch who I want to kick in the britches. She reallllly does need it, ugh! She is a bully and Francie has to look out for her sweeet niece Sophie. Rend is delightful for Francie and hope to see their relationship blossom into more, please. They deserve romance. Fun series so far, great entertainment and an absolutely worthwhile read
Spoiled cat, but truly very helpful pain in the tush, snarky mentor, that she wasn't even looking for, new powerful magic, that if she isn't careful could cost her her soul, and a mad crush on the sheriff, who won't acknowledge their attraction. Add in a few murders, a lot of cursed books, and friends and family high on the suspect list, well, the town librarian is going to put herself in dangerous situations to help solve the mysteries and catch the killer's.
Francie has a lot on her plate balancing work, family, friends, her cat familiar, her love life, and a few murders. She luckily has a support system in place but a lot of crazy too.
Add a witch, her cheeky familiar and a handsome man to a murder mystery Zander you have this series.I loved the books I binge read and can’t wait for more!I recommend this author and books to anyone who wants to enjoy reading again!! I luv Herself and think I have her sister! I have to feed Queen Dolly when I wake up then it’s time for LadyXena to have her milk.Michi is laid back and sleeps in.They don’t talk but meow their complaints to me.Miss S talks! Thank goodness mine doesn’t.Enjoy reading their stories!!
I enjoyed this series, which isn't over yet. Kong is a food snob cat. He is Francesca's familiar or owner depending on which you ask. They solve murders and find dangerous books then deal with them.
Great fun read with a twist. Elegant vocabulary cat-witch assistant meets middle-aged mistress-witch who has romantic problems. Meanwhile, they help the Werewolf suitor solve murder. It's as crazy as it sounds but quite entertaining! 😂!
This is a cute series. Has a lot of magic and who-done-it mysteries. It reads fast and keeps your attention. No graphic sexual content and not much violence. I recommend it and I'm going to see if there is another bundle in this series.
