Princes of the Outlands

Can a kiss change your fortune forever?
The three princes of the Baersladen seem to have it all: courage, strength, and good looks. But they each have one thing missing—true love.

TREI, the handsome eldest brother, is so shackled by his duty as the crown heir that he nearly loses his chance for love with the beautiful falconer whose bird seems determined to keep him away from her.

VALENDEN, the disreputable middle brother, is known throughout the kingdom for his vices: wine, women, and shirking his responsibility. But when a clever tavern wench rescues him from a drunken fight, he wonders if he’s going about romance all wrong.

RANGAR, the brooding youngest brother, cannot stop thinking about the fair-haired princess from a rival kingdom whose life he saved when they were children. Now, he must decide if he should pursue the headstrong village girl who has eyes only for him, or keep his heart fires burning for the girl he can’t seem to forget.

PRINCES OF THE OUTLANDS is a prequel novella to the Kindle Vella sensations Scarlight (now available on ebook) and Scarbound as part of the Castles of the Eyrie series!

It's possible I was born in the wrong time. I've always been drawn to the past, the future, other worlds—basically anywhere but the here and now. I write fantasy to satisfy my nagging curiosity that there is more out there, just beyond the veil.

Until I find a portal through a magical armoire, I'll continue writing romantic fantasies with a touch of darkness and hint of magic.

I'm the author of fantasy romance sagas include The Godkissed Bride series and The Castles of the Eyrie series.

I received a complimentary copy of the book and am giving my honest review. It's an interesting story with lots of romance. It feels like an introduction to the characters that will be further explored in the actual books.

captivating

This captivating story is a mix of historical and fantasy. A bit above steamy. Definitely helps you understand all 3 of the Bear Princes a bit better. I read Scarlight 1st.

I thought this was a fun way to check in on the brothers (Trei, Valenden and Ragnar) before book 1 unfolds.

I am over the moon happy to read this series. I read the first on Vella and have been waiting for the series to be completed. The prequel was nice, warm, a great intro.

It was nice to get some more snippets of Trei and Val, though there were some inconsistencies with the other books.

Fun short read!
It’s nice to have more of a view on the brothers. I’d recommend to read after 1st or 2nd.
