Two unidentified bodies, one from twenty years ago, one from today, both buried in the same place. Who is responsible?
Mary, Liz and Bernie are back for another case and this time there are two bodies to contend with. A body discovered in a farmer's field leads back to an early unsolved case in 2002. Back when the mums were young, stayed out later than ten o'clock and still had waistlines. Can they discover the identity of the mysterious woman and solve a murder when the trail has long gone cold? And with kids birthday parties to organize, costumes to make and endless noses to wipe, how will they ever find the time?
Enjoy the second novel in this cosy mystery series today!
The Invisible Woman by T.E. Scott is book 2 in the Wronged Women’s Co-operative series, a very enjoyable cosy series. What a wonderful mix of female characters in the Co-op. We have Bernie who is over the top as far as trying to fix things that she considers need fixing, Liz who is between jobs, Bernie’s niece Alice who is very rarely without her phone in her hand and Mary who has always been a little bit different and found it hard to make female friends. Then there is Constable Walker who is dyslexic and doing the Sergeant’s exam. The series are set in Invergryff (Paisley) in Scotland. A body has just been found and it is near where one was found nearby 20 years ago. A clever story with gentle humour throughout. Easy to read and the characters really make it so enjoyable to read.
The Wronged Women Cooperative investigate…Amateur Sleuthing just got real . a really good book , great characters and laugh out loud funny moments. Great plots and situations . Page turner and seemed to get to the end quickly for a longer book as I was engrossed . While at the police station fetching Alice who had been “caught “ trespassing (Although it was easily explained away ), Mary gets a whiff of a crime worth investigating …The relationship between the police constable Walker and herself a topic of great derision by the other WWC members who found the embarrassment hilarious. A we’ll book overall and easy reading
The police are trying to solve two murder cases, one still unresolved from tweny years ago, the second a new one, and all that seems to connect them is the place they were found. Our intrepid group are on the case, as well as the one they're actually being paid for. I really enjoyed this, with the contrast between what the police can achieve and what a little word from a friendly face can come up with. I also enjoyed the 'will they, won't they' between Constable Walker and Mary. This is turning into a really enjoyable series.
Yet again T E Scott has provided a great story which has been a really enjoyable read. No graphic or gritty sex and violence (and a couple of 'oh, really?!!' moments) but a good premise and a storyline that keeps you guessing.
I am having Lots of Fun and Mystery with The WWC! They are fun and (mostly) friendly characters who work together to solve the crimes that get their dander up! I am very much enjoying the series!
