Remember, It's OK: Loss of a Pet

Remember, It’s OK.

Navigating the waters of grief.

Losing a pet is heartbreaking. They are part of your life, your family, your heart. So many people who lose a pet friend suffer in silence. It can often be difficult to get understanding and validation for the depth of that loss. We will do both. Your pet was your family, regardless of what others may think or say. Grief will find its way into your life. Remember, It’s OK.

This unique book divides moments of grief into six colours of emotion as the road map forward. Each “moment” has two entries, one from the perspective of the person suffering from a loss, and another as a guide for a companion response, whether a friend, family member, colleagues, or therapist. Blank pages are also included for reflection.

You are not alone. Your grief is real, and we are here to help you on your grief journey.

Let us help you find yourself again.

Author Marina L. Reed and psychotherapist Marian Grace Boyd are the co-creators of the Remember, It’s OK series. They combine their talents in these books to bring hope and healing to those in grief.

I am a author, artist, speaker. I have worked in a developing country, travelled extensively, tasted other cultures, experienced life and death and life. Through it all I have observed, and those observations fill the pages of my books. I still believe in magic. :))

Simple, sincere, and deeply comforting. This book acknowledges the pain of losing a pet without minimizing it, which many people truly need. It’s a meaningful resource for healing and remembering the love shared with a cherished companion.

This book offers gentle guidance through one of the most painful experiences for pet lovers. I appreciated the reflection pages and the compassionate tone throughout. It feels less like a manual and more like a supportive friend walking beside you.

Remember, It’s Ok is a disappointing read that fails to deliver on its message.

What didn’t work:

Repetitive and unoriginal content
Very little depth or real insight
Feels rushed and poorly developed

Overall:
It comes across as surface-level and forgettable. Beyond the book itself, the overall experience left a negative impression and raised concerns about professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for meaningful or impactful guidance.

Remember, It’s Ok feels like a poorly put together attempt at inspiration. The content is repetitive, shallow, and lacks any real depth. It quickly becomes frustrating to read because nothing new or meaningful is offered. On top of that, my personal experience tied to this project involved unmet expectations around agreed compensation, which made the entire situation even more disappointing. Still work with the Author without getting paid. She's a scammer!!!

Remember, It’s Ok comes across as deeply disappointing, both in content and in the overall experience surrounding it. The writing feels rushed, repetitive, and lacking genuine depth. It promises emotional insight but delivers little more than surface-level statements. Beyond the book itself, my experience left me questioning the professionalism behind it. Overall, it feels like a project that prioritizes appearance over real value, making it hard to trust or recommend.
