Rendezvous Fallsis on jõulud ning armastus ootab lahti pakkimist...
Üksikema Piper Montgomeryl on käed kuhjaga tööd täis.
Rendezvous Falls on Logani jaoks vaid vahepeatus.
I write the same kind of romances I like to read – stories about characters facing real-life challenges with real-life consequences. The stories are emotional, but still have humor, and love always finds a way to pull the characters through together.
I live in coastal North Carolina with 100 pounds of dog and 200 pounds of husband – my slice of the bed is very small. When I’m not writing or reading romance novels (or clinging to the edge of the bed…), I can often be found on the back porch sipping wine with friends while listening to an eclectic playlist. If the weather is absolutely perfect, I might join my husband on the golf course, where I always feel far more competitive than my actual skill-level would suggest.
Stealing Kisses in the Snow is an amusing, tender tale that takes us back to Rendezvous Falls and into the life of the hardworking, kindhearted Piper Montgomery as she meanders through all sorts of highs and lows, from losing her husband, raising two kids alone, grieving in-laws, unexpectedly running the inn, and an undeniable attraction to Iris’s mysterious, yet devilishly handsome grandson who suddenly arrives to lend a hand.
The prose is effortless and light. The characters are focused, independent, and lonely. And the plot is an alluring tale about loss, life, love, grit, family, friendship, community, wintery shenanigans, self-discovery, moving on, and finding that special place to call home.
Overall, Stealing Kisses in the Snow is another charming, uplifting, entertaining tale by McNally that is perfect for anyone who enjoys a holiday romance that’s not only heartwarming but also funny.
Thank you to Harlequin Books for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a sweet heartwarming festive Romance! Jo McNally created such vivid characters, I feel as though I would know them if they were walking down the street. The setting was so charming. An old inn, a pink house, and a small town, yes yes and yes! This was a romance, but it was also so much more. The book really focused in on family dynamics and how grief impacts the family and how the different members of the family move on from it. Piper is a single mother of two, Lily a precocious four-year-old and Ethan a somber 14-year-old. Piper is starting over, working at this charming inn and has just purchased her own home. Her focus is on her children and she is certain there is no room in her heart for a man, she is still grieving the loss of her husband who died over three years ago. Logan, motorcycle driving tattooed bad boy arrives in town to help out with his grandmother’s inn. Logan is a Ramblin man never settling down in one place too long, he certainly does not have room for a single mother of two in his life. So what happens when two people who have no room for love fall in love? A lovely clean romance filled with love, family, and holiday cheer!
Widow and single mother, Piper Montgomery have enough on her plate with her two kids (a four-year old chatterbox and a sullen teenager) and being temporarily in charge of the inn where she was working part-time, since the owner was injured because of a bad fall. But the arrival of a newcomer at the inn might be Piper's biggest challenge yet.
Logan Taggart is the grandson of Iris, the inn's owner. On leave after an injury for him too at the oil rig, it won't stop him from helping with his grandma's business, even if the manager is pretty independent and doesn't want his help. The feisty woman is also very attractive. But even if the attraction is mutual, Logan is a drifter and not ready for a commitment, especially with a woman who already comes with a family, and Piper have her insecurities too and must deal with her in-laws, who mean well, but doesn't realize the pression they add to her.
As Christmas is been known for bringing lost souls and passionated hearts closer, Piper and Logan will come to realize it's much more difficult to resist when they find themselves alone at the inn.
It was my first time reading this author and I'll certainly read the other ones. The MC's chemistry was so great! I loved the values in this story and the underlying message about differences and tolerance. Love that there's both Halloween and Christmas in the book and the kids were just as adorable and annoying as children can be😉.
"Two hours of nonstop children screaming trick-or-treat at me and demanding candy. It was like being robbed at gunpoint over and over. How many kids does this town have, anyway?"
I'm going to let you in on a little secret, I really enjoyed this book much better than I did the first book in the series. I'm not totally sure why. She's a new author to me so maybe I had to get used to the way she writes. All I know is that I liked these characters more and the writing flowed much more quickly in this one.
I'm so glad that I decided to try the next book in the series. And this is why when I like a book even with its flaws I know to try the author again.
I really loved both Piper and Logan. Both in their own ways are very hard working. Logan's life is much more different than Piper's. He's always moving around not collecting dust. Something he learned from his father. But when his grandmother needed him he was there. You've got to love that in a hero. Even though he's a rolling stone he really is a hard worker.
What I loved about this story is I think Logan really gave her the push she needed to stand up to her mother-in-law. I'm not saying that Piper is a pushover, it's just sometimes for the sake of peace you give in to things you shouldn't. Her mother-in-law is a piece of work. The woman drove me crazy.
I liked how we saw how hard Piper's son was dealing with life's changes. It's not easy losing a parent then moving into a new home. Sometimes you need someone that loves you to tell you that you are acting like an ass.
I found it funny that Logan who's a rolling stone found it easier to fall in love and decide to stay in one place than Piper did. She fought till the very end before letting herself believe that she could be happy again.
This is a wonderful story with a very charming Christmas theme. It really set me up for wanting more of this town and this author. I can't wait to see what she has next. I also want to say that the character's names made me wonder is the author was giving a nod to Jude Deveraux.
I totally assumed this would be a sweet and heartwarming holiday read with a cute little small town setting and it was, BUT it was also pretty funny and spicy too. Both the main characters had a wicked sense of humor, sarcasm is my love language so I was into that obviously, and then there were also adorable kids, so really what more could a girl want? I was totally charmed by this one and will definitely be reading more of the authors books!
Stealing Kisses in the Snow by Jo McNally 384 pages This item will be released on October 29, 2019. And you can pre order . 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ Single mom Piper Montgomery’s plate is full. Between her two adorable kids, two jobs and a fixer-upper house, she’s so busy she can hardly see straight. But when rugged biker Logan Taggart strolls into the inn where she’s working, she can’t help but stare. He has bad boy written all over him. And with two kids relying on her, that’s the last thing she needs this Christmas. Rendezvous Falls is nothing but a pit stop for Logan. Once his grandmother is back on her feet and ready to reclaim the inn, Logan can get back on the road. It’s where he belongs, even if his grandmother’s matchmaking book club try to convince him otherwise. Still, there’s something about beautiful spitfire Piper that makes him wonder if family and forever might just be what he needs after all.But as the holidays draw ever closer, so do Piper and Logan. Could these polar opposites find that all they want this Christmas is each other? 🎄📕MY REVIEW📕🎄 Stayed up almost all night, But I️ just had to finish this book! The characters grabbed me and sucked me in. It was so well written,And the author was able to make me feel like I was part of it all. Stealing Kisses in the Snow is a heart warming story about Second Chances, Romance, Letting go and Moving On. The characters were well developed and it had humor, sadness, loss, as well as romance . I found myself laughing and crying throughout the book. Jo McNally writes about a very tough subject, the loss of a husband and having to move on and raise 2 kids alone. She does it in a way that is real and raw. I wanted to jump into the book and give Piper a hug and hold both the kids Lily and Ethan. Poor Ethan broke my heart over his struggle over the loss if his dad. At times it is a very emotional book, but I loved every word of it. Piper's two kids are the same age as mine 4 and 13 so I was able to connect with her whole family. Lily's nickname for Logan ( Logan the Giant ) had me laughing so hard. Iris Logan's 80 year old matchmaking grandma who owned the Inn was also an amazing character that I loved in this book. She was quite the character. This is the second book in the Rendezvous Falls series and can be read as a stand alone. Thank you netgalley , Jo McNally , and Harlequin for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. #JoMcnally #Harlequin #Christmasromance
This is a funny and charming book. I have not read the first book in this series but after finishing this book, I want to go back and read it.
Instantly, I fell in love with Piper. An independent woman that is not afraid to get her hands dirty...literally. She was unclogging toilets as well as attempting to play plumber. Her children,Lily and Ethan were stars in this book as well. Lily is adorable and Ethan may be your typical teenager...moody; you can't help but like him as well.
Than there is Logan. First impressions are not Logan's forte. Yet, he does clean up very nicely. I like that the chemistry between Logan and Piper was not in your face or right away. They built up to their first moment. Therefore, it felt more believable and real. Stealing Kisses in the Snow is the perfect holiday read!
This was a sweet, heartfelt, festive read! It was a quick read perfect for the holiday season. I have not read any of the others in the Rendezvous Falls series but really enjoyed this one. The characters were well developed and were relatable/ real. The setting of the perfect was quaint and cute and the author painted a wonderful picture. Piper is a widow, working hard to take care of a 13 year old son and 4 year daughter. After the loss of her husband, she’s gotten used to handling everything on her own and putting herself last. Logan is a bit of a wanderlust, never staying anywhere long enough to settle down. He’s a hardworking mans man and is used to being alone. Their romance unfolds in a charming, realistic way, hitting on many emotions along the way.
Such a fun book to read. Single widowed mom, teenaged kid, incredibly cute little girl, difficult in-laws falls for her boss's son who has a nomad's past...just in time for Christmas! I just loved it! McNally does a great job writing the kids in this story, as well as the range of emotions our hero and heroine go through. Really well done, can't wait for more in this series.
Stealing Kisses in the Snow is a seasoned romance taking place between October and Christmas. It features an adorable four-year-old, a moody teenager, a single mom, a rolling stone rig worker, and a matchmaking grandma. This is the second book in Jo McNally’s Rendezvous Falls series and is a standalone read.
Iris Taggart owns the Taggart Inn, a small bed and breakfast in Rendezvous Falls, New York. For the last few months, she’s been running the inn with just herself and Piper Montgomery. But when Iris falls and breaks her hip, her grandchildren decide that one of them has to go and help their grandma. After getting injured on an oil rig, Logan decides to return to Rendezvous Falls to recover and help out his grandmother. He just never expected to fall for a single mom and her ready-made family.
I read an excerpt from Stealing Kisses in the Snow and knew immediately I HAD to read the story. Logan, Piper, her kids Ethan and Lily, and Iris were all great characters who really helped drive the story. I don’t usually read Harlequin’s HQN line, so I didn’t know what to expect. Stealing Kisses in the Snow made me smile and laugh. There were times when I was sure my heart was going to break. But there were also touching moments. I really enjoyed the journey of Piper and Logan coming together as a family.
Jo McNally is a new to me author. I’m looking forward to reading more books from her.
I so enjoyed this second book in the Rendezvous Falls series.
I love The book club ladies and man. Iris particularly. I read the book while recovering from a broken femur. Her rants about her Broken hip and how Are you expected to pull up your pants while holding on to a walker was quite amusing, as it is something I had been saying as well.
I enjoyed Piper’s zest for life. Logan was an amazing strong compassionate man.
I am looking forward to the third book out in a week!
STEALING KISSES IN THE SNOW is a sweet and festive love story about Piper, a single mother of two, and Logan, who has never stayed anywhere long enough to put down roots. Iris Taggert is eighty and has been held up by her injury, forcing her to take a step back from the bed and breakfast that she runs in the Finger Lakes. She has deputized Piper as the manager in her stead, knowing that Piper will run the place the way she wants it to be run.
Piper had been working two jobs to support herself and her two children, four-year-old Lily and sullen thirteen-year-old Ethan. Working at the Inn as a manager is a pleasant change, also because she is allowed to bring Lily with her. Piper's husband died on a military tour overseas to Afghanistan. He met Lily right after she was born, shortly before his death. Piper has been grieving for the four years since, and while she will always love him,she is moving forward with her children, having moved out of her in-laws' house and buying her own and taking back the solo role in raising the children. This adjustment has been hard on everyone, in no small part because her in-laws have been reluctant to release any control.
Logan grew up on the move, chasing his dad's next Big Thing. As an adult, he has a steady job that requires the same frequent movement, working on oil rigs. When he finds out his grandmother has been injured, he heads back to town to help her with the inn- only to find someone else running it. After a rough introduction, he is willing to settle into a helper mode- except that Piper does not really want to delegate to him. However, he is impressed by her and slowly shows her that he can help too- with the inn but also with her house renovations and even her children.
This was a lovely slow-building romance with a lot to love about both Piper and Logan, as well as the two as a couple. The in-law issues caused a lot of stress (even as a reader) that made this a little tougher of a read. Essentially, the in-laws were undermining any potential relationships using the kids as vessels of their control, and I really hated it (as you are supposed to). However, of course, this book has a lovely happy ending that I adored. The ultimate messages are about the power and value of love with the ideal setting of Christmas.
This was a lovely holiday book that functions as a stand-alone (although it is the second in a series), with a couple who is easy to cheer for, the meddling book club who brings a lot of laughs, and lots of family moments that make you fall in love. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new, sweet Christmas romance read.
Please note that I received a review copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
I'm always on the lookout for books with older main characters, seasoned romance, mature adult, whatever you want to call it, I like it a lot. So much I do a monthly roundup over on Frolic Media to help promote the titles! I try to read as many of these books as possible before I write the roundup post but my list has started growing at such a rate, I'm lucky if I can get around to a handful. This month I was able to share Stealing Kisses in the Snow as a book a read and recommend, not just as a listing. And oh boy do I recommend this book, the entire series, really!
First off, I enjoyed the situation McNally paints for us - the nomad hero and the heart broken widow with two small-ish children. Second chance, small town, even Christmas magic are the themes/tropes you'll find in this book. Piper and Logan are far more interesting and fleshed out than my lame description above, they read as genuine, emotionally fragile yet wildly strong characters, especially Piper. That woman has so much on her plate, it's exhausting to attempt to comprehend. And yet, she still has the grace to recognize all she still has to be thankful for in her life. To watch her multitask is a lesson in motherhood and self-sacrifice. McNally does a great job expressing how difficult and often guilt-ridden decisions to be kind to yourself can be for a mother, especially a single mother. Also of note, the sex....expertly written. People over the age of 35 have sex, a lot of sex, they enjoy it immensely and, surprise, surprise, they actually know a lot about the mechanics, emotional and physical - behind it.
Two other aspects of this story that are very noteworthy. Iris Taggert's meddling book club of oldies. I adore them so much and they are a beautiful overarching link through the series that are destined to charm the pants right off you! Each member of the book club has its own, distinct personality that easily shines through. This brings us to one of my favorite parts - Piper's children. They say actors shouldn't act with kids or animals because they are scene stealers. Well, I think writers should be careful when writing children, it's not easy to get them right. McNally does and she does it exceptionally. You can feel the worry and angst in the 13-year-old boy and you can feel the joy and pain in Piper's little girl - simply beautiful work.. Two thumbs up, highly recommend!
Interested in seeing Victorian houses known as the Painted Ladies, visiting the Taggart Inn and meeting some delightful people? Then you will like your trip to Rendezvous Falls.
His grandmother, Iris Taggart has fallen and broken her hip. She needs help with her Bed & Breakfast, the Taggart Inn while she recouperates and does her physical therapy. Logan Taggart drew the short straw so his sister gets to stay home while he gets to make the trip to help out his grandmother. He first meets Piper Montgomery after he runs into her adorable four-year-old daughter Lily in his grandmother's suite in the inn. She leads the "giant monster" she found to her mother in the kitchen of the inn. At first Piper didn't know what to make of this dirty, scruffy giant of a man clad in motorcycle leathers holding her daughter's hand. This was Iris' grandson? Not at all what Piper expected. He's just so big and "hot!" As Piper and Logan get to know each other better and the attraction between them grows they find themselves falling for each other. But can a single mom with two kids be able to bring this man into her happy family? Can this man who never stays in any one place for long put down roots?
I know I am going to really enjoy a book when I am smiling from the very first pages. Stealing Kisses in the Snow by Jo McNally had me smiling a lot as I read. Ms. McNally's characters are so genuine and likeable. Little Lily is super cute and sweet and brings smiles to the faces of everyone she comes in contact with while her thirteen-year-old brother Ethan exudes teen angst and "leave me alone" vibes. Iris Taggart's book club fails again with their matchmaking. Piper and Logan just have to find their HEA in their own good time and through ups and downs. A truly delightful read!
Right off the bat, I fell for Piper. She is widowed and struggling to stay afloat while raising her two kids. And yet she has amazing strength and determination. I also immediately adored her daughter Lily, who is one of those smart and spunky kids I have always enjoyed being around in my classroom and otherwise. Logan starts out a little rough, but you know he is going to soften. And Piper's poor son Ethan is a teenage mess, struggling with the usual teen drama, amplified by him still reeling from the loss of his father four years ago. And then there is Iris, Logan's grandmother. She is super fiesty and in charge, just how I want to be at 80.
And I have to love the setting of the Finger Lakes, because I live in Western New York and often like to drive down for a day, especially around Seneca Lake. And when the "rowdy group from Rochester" came down and wreaked a bit of havoc, I had to laugh. I promise we're not always like that!
I loved the tension and admiration between Logan and Piper. And I can guarantee that those lake effect snowstorms off Lake Ontario really do provide some of the most romantic nights ever.
I really feel for Piper as she battles her internal struggle of loyalty to her late husband while also recognizing that she is still a young woman with a lot of life inside her and needs to be fulfilled. I have watched a few friends go through the same thing at the same age. And of course Logan is finally wanting to maybe set down some roots after a life of being on the road (or rig, as the case may be).
I really enjoyed reading this and I need to read more of the Rendezvous Falls series. I also want to take a drive tomorrow and relax around the lake and wineries and fall in love all over again.
Another Rendezvous Falls installment in the series in which the senior ladies in the book club try out their matchmaking efforts again--with similar disastrous results as the previous effort. This time, it's Logan Taggart, Iris's grandson, who is their target. This Harley-riding bad boy with the tattoos and a preference for avoiding complicated relationships surprises himself when it's not the ink artist who captures his interest.
Piper Montgomery has lots on her plate, including her grumpy pre-teen son, 4-year-old daughter with the sunny smile, a house needing lots of fixing up, and stepping up to do everything in Iris's B&B as the holidays near. After all, Iris is still at the rehab center after surgery on her hip, so it's up to Piper to make sure that Iris's painted lady is perfect for the guests soon to arrive. She needs help, and when Logan is ordered to step up, the two soon discover a connection neither expected.
But Piper's mother-in-law isn't happy about the possibility that she might finally be ready to move on, even if it's been four years since her only son's death (and of course, he's a Marine). So she sets about making comments designed to turn her grandchildren against Logan and it looks like she's going to be successful. If the kids don't like him now, how can Piper continue to see him, much less make him part of their family?
With Thanksgiving a disaster and Christmas nearly on everyone, what are the book club seniors to do when they realize that Logan and Piper have found--and love--each other? Read to find out amidst the laughter and tears of all involved.
A Christmas story should be about love, family & the spirit of the holidays. Taggart Inn doesn’t feel like it’s in the holiday mood with the owner Iris having fallen & broken a hip. She’ll be out of commission for several months so her grandson has taken time off to come & help. He’s also hoping to convince her that the Inn is too much for her & it would be best to sell. Logan wasn’t expecting to see a young girl wandering the halls of the inn or her mother in the kitchen.
Piper is a widowed mother of two. Her husband was killed four years ago & she’s struggling to get her family back in order. She feels like she’s fighting everyone to gain control of her family again - her in laws, her son, herself. When she looks up from mopping to see her daughter’s “giant” standing in front of her holding Lily’s hand, her mama ear jumped in to protect her daughter. Everything isn’t what it seems though.
I really enjoyed this story about a family trying to reinvent itself & make room for all. The tension between Piper & Logan was apparent from the beginning. They were each interested in the other but kept backing off. Piper needed to realize that she deserved someone to love & that her deceased husband, Tom would have wanted her to move on. She needed to learn that Ethan, her son needed reassurance that she would always be there & needed limits placed on his behavior to show that love & respect. Logan was starting to realize he was tired of being alone & that a family held a lot of appeal. This was a wonderful story & I can’t wait to read more about Rendezvous Falls.
It’s always a pleasure to return to The Twilight Series i am in hard love with the people and the town.
Jana Gerard is a heroine that just grips your heart, and has you cheering for her in the end. Jana’s past is anything but easy, growing up in the system causes Jana unease when it comes to trusting people, now Jana is living in a little town called Twilight, where the town folk is anything but standoffish .
Joel MacGregor this hero drew me in with his sexy looks and huge heart. Joel is not one who is lucky in love department to say the least, but in friendship he is blessed. What happens when the friendship grows into something more?
Jana and Joel are a brilliant powerhouse for sure. There is nothing they can’t do, well almost. When it comes to the chemistry between them things are about to get interesting. Can they work out the kinks? Secrets revealed, hearts open, and a tiny Christmas miracle all play a huge role in Second Chance Christmas.
Lori Wilde’s Twilight, Texas Series gets more enchanting with every addition. Second Chance Christmas is a story of friendship to lovers trope romance that is not an easy road. Second Chance Christmas has strong character building both of main and supporting characters, it’s always nice to see how the characters from the previous Twilight, Texas Series are growing. I for one cannot wait to read the next installment in this series.
Jo McNally’s STEALING KISSES IN THE SNOW is a heart-warming tale fill with laughter, tears, and holiday cheer. But when rugged biker Logan Taggart strolls into the inn, she can’t help but stare. He has bad boy written all over him, but with two kids relying on her, that’s the last thing she needs. Rendezvous Falls is nothing but a pit stop for Logan. As soon his grandmother is back on her feet to resume running the inn, he is out of there, but thanks to the meddling of his grandmother’s matchmaking book club, sparks fly between Piper and Logan as they worked together to keep their guests happy. As the holidays draws even closer, so do Piper and Logan. Jo McNally creates real characters to experience love, friendship, a sense of community, and family moments in dealing with loss and sadness. I received a complimentary copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Piper lost her husband 4 years ago when Lily was an infant and Ethan was 8. Her in-laws were her support system and grieved with her over the kids of their son. They provided a home for their son's family until Piper felt she I enough to move out on her own.
She buys a fixer upper and is working full time next door at an inn. The inns owner is recuperating from workmanship so her grandson shows up to help out, and the sparks fly! Logan works on an oil rig and moves around quite a bit. Piper figured acting on her attraction is a safe bet because Logan will be gone after Christmas. Neither one is prepared for the depth of their feelings and how to make it work.
It's a good story, with great characters. I laughed and cried along the way and recommend this book. Excited for the next book in the Rendezvous Falls series.
I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

“Stealing Kisses in the Snow” by Jo McNally takes us back to Rendezvous Falls and features widow Piper Montgomery and drifter Logan Taggart.
Piper’s life revolves around her job at the inn, keeping things running smoothly, and her two kids, making sure they are happy despite her interfering in-laws. Logan’s stay in Rendezvous Falls is meant to be temporary until his grandmother, and owner of the inn, recovers from hip surgery. Neither Piper nor Logan expect the attraction, that’s hot enough to melt snow, to flame between them and to make them re-think their view of what they want in life.
“Stealing Kisses in the Snow” gives a real-life look into a one-parent family and the ensuing drama when there’s a chance to become more. Ms. McNally pens a tear-worthy and swoon-worthy romance.
Piper is a single mother doing the best that she can for kids and more. Now that its the holidays and newcomer Logan things start to get a bit more interesting. Logan is around for his grandmother while shes down healing, helping out Piper when he can. No one ever expected that attraction, hes only there for a short while and no one can ever replace her late husband, things are about to get complicated.
Great for the holiday and perfect for you romance lovers. I loved reading this book, and getting to know the characters. There was the obvious attraction between the two that can't be denied it was only a matter of time for them to give into the attraction and seeing how things will play out. Theres the kids, teenage angst, meddling in-laws, Logan's matchmaking grandmother, everything is a recipe for disaster and it made for such a fun read.

5 stars ⭐ ⭐⭐ ⭐⭐
This is the first time reading from this author. This is a real cute read. It melt my heart 💓. I felt like I was watching one of those Romance Christmas from Hallmark movies.
What a beautiful wonderful amazing read.
What a great read! This had me hooked from the beginning. The sitting, theme, and the Characters had me pulled so in. Everything was well put together and it was just perfect. This novel did just that to me. Highly recommend everybody get this book and read it. Its so good! Can't wait for her next book.
Piper and Logan are not meant to be, at least that is what they keep telling themselves and each other. But with each stolen kiss, it gets harder to believe. A wanderer his whole life, Logan just meant to come home long enough to make sure his ailing Grandmother was on the mend. Piper has home and hearth all over her, with 2 kids and a heartbreak in her past, she doesn't need any more complications. But Christmas has a way of opening hearts and healing wounds in ways that are unexpected. A heartwarming Christmas read, but one that touches on some heavier subjects such as loss and trauma.
