Our perfection is a facade; Our reality is a mess.
Lochlyn and Shay: The picture perfect couple to everyone we know; we’re anything but.
Sure, he has an amazing new job. And, I’m proud of him for it. But he’s never around. It’s hard planning a wedding. Hard furnishing a house. Hard doing it all without him.
Luckily, I have Chelsea. But you’re supposed to build your life with your person – not your best friend.
I yearn to regain what made us Shay and Lochlyn. I won’t accept that love is lost and we were never meant to be.
Will he heed my desperate pleas before it’s too late, or will our love crumble under the weight of life?
Shayna Astor is a native New Yorker, currently residing upstate with her husband and two children. Getting all four seasons, her favorite are the cool, crisp days of fall.
When Shayna isn't writing, she can be found reading, spending time with her kids, or playing video games with her husband. Being an avid coffee drinker, she can almost always be found with a cup of coffee in her hands.
This was my favorite of the series so far. It focuses more of Shay and Lochlyn's relationship but Wes and Chelsea were still a huge part in it. There was love, sadness, fear, growth, and nostalgia. So many different emotions throughout the read and I felt I experienced every single one of them. Everything was relatable when it comes to how life and relationships are when people grow. Being young and in a new relationship is always fun, but when the reality of adulthood kicks in, things tend to get lost. When Lochlyn puts his job before everything, Shay is pushed aside and left alone to plan the wedding. Their relationship starts to unravel when dinners together are no longer happening, Lochlyn is staying out late with co workers, and Shay is at home alone wondering if he'll even be home in bed at night . I kept thinking c'mon Loch snap out of it, look at what you're doing to your relationship. You need to focus on your relationship, your future, at what's more important. The characters definitely had a lot of growth and in the end were able to communicate and work it out.

The chemistry, the spice, the swoon, the heartache, YUP-Shay and Loch are back and better than ever! The last we knew of them, Lochlyn proposed and Shay eagerly accepted. After the proposal things move quickly, we fast-forward one year and Lochlyn is now working at a law firm, and insists on them buying a house to live in. With Shay still in school, a wedding to plan, a house to furnish and Loch very consumed by his work, things between them become tense and strained. This is the angstiest in the series this far and I completely devoured it in one sitting. My heart hurt for them and although I sided with Shay, I was still deeply invested in both points of view. I felt Shay’s loneliness with her and for the first time, I did not like Loch and the way he was acting and treating Shay, it hurt, and I wanted to bash their heads together to hopefully knock some sense in to them, especially Lochlyn! But fear not, our sweet beloved Loch makes things right just in the knick of time and I swooned all over again, for him, for them. Their happily ever after is what dreams are made of.
The angst! I love Shay and Loch but I kind of wanted to whack Loch in the head and tell him to get his shit together. They're an amazing couple, I think that Lochlyn just got overwhelmed and lost track of his priorities for a little while. The ending is amazing and I'm super excited to read the last book!
I absolutely loved this book! I loved how they went through hardship and worked through it all about got back to better than ever. I absolutely love Shay and Lochlyns relationship and watching them grow. Thank you so much Shayna for creating this world and story!

*I Received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from Shayna Astor in exchange for an honest review*
I have loved the first two books in this series and I really enjoyed the ride that Shayna has taken the reader on. I feel that resonate with this series so much not just because I was an insecure young woman in my first relationship ever (Shay and Lochlyn book 1) and had a hard time with relationships and my self esteem (Chelsea in book 2). I feel very connected with Shay because the theme that was heavy in book 1 is she lost her father at a young age and it was hard on her and her relationship with her mother. That is something I can relate to and as someone who has personally gone through something like that I feel that Shayna really captured that.
I really enjoyed No Limits in a different way. We've seen our characters grow up and become adults and we get to see how their relationships adjust to the real world and how they handle real world stressors and real world problems and it is intriguing to see. Shayna does mention that Lochlyn does "fall from grace" and "lose his star status" but I think that was important to see especially in this essentially coming of age story where we have seen our characters in all situations.
I gave this story 4 stars simply because it did feel a little repetitive with Shay constantly going back to how she feels and it felt like it was Shay's way or nothing. I understand that nothing is perfect and how Shay feels is valid however it didn't feel like there was any sort of compromise between them. It felt like Lochlyn had to do everything to make Shay happy and Shay didn't do anything to make Lochlyn happy. To me, a successful relationship is both people putting in work and the way this story unfolded it just felt like Shay didn't want to do anything or be understanding with Lochlyn whereas Lochlyn felt this pressure from her because she wasn't getting what she felt she deserved or was owed by him.
My other issue and this is only because of me but the pregnancy at the end I absolutely hated it. Anything with pregnancy or children/babies immediately turns me off. I am glad that it was at the end of the book and wasn't a huge part of the story because it would have made my wanting to finish the story very hard.
Everything in this review is my own opinion and I personally love Shayna and the world she has allowed me to live in.
Can we just take a second here? OMG! That end ! It was my heart. I swear EVERY time I pick up a book from Shayna Astor her words are speaking directly into my soul. I have LOVED Shay and Loch during this series. & during this book I was like oh no my book boyfriend is letting us down. And every step of the way my hurt understood Shay’s so much and I just wanted to fight for her happiness so much. Then we get closer to the end and I couldn’t be happier for them. Add to the Epilogue that I did not see coming or how much time has passed. I was speechless. I didn’t want to see this book come to and end at all. I just wanted to keep going. Shayna, your words are so touching, and I’m so grateful you share this with the rest of us. I’ve truly enjoyed the journey. I only hope that more people join us on it too!
Loch and Shay's relationship has always been my favorite and I have loved these characters dearly. With that being said I felt every single emotion in this book and I can say this was a rollercoaster of emotions. We all knew Shay accepted his proposal and we all knew they would live happily ever after. What we did not expect was what it took to get there. There was spice (obviously 😉), love, heartache, pain, forgiveness, and then more love! We all adore Loch so much that I think we forgot that there are other sides to him that we have not seen before. It was good reading about this side and seeing him make up for his mistakes in life. Shay was definitely patient through this all and I enjoyed that about her. This was such a well written book and I feel like we needed it to continue on with their story! Even through all the emotions I truly enjoyed reading this book.
We all love Shay and Loch, but if you're like me you may have thought it was a little too unreal just how perfect Loch seemed to be. (Even if I adore him haha)
Well, No Limits certainly corrects that. This book perfectly shows the ups and downs, trials and tribulations, and the imperfections of the seemingly perfect couple.
The fairytale appears to be over, are they able to survive it?
No Limits is more of Lochlyn and Shays story...a very important part of their story. I loved that Shayna wrote this book. Lochlyn and Shay always seem so happy but every real love story has its ups and downs and this book dives into this couples low moments. I loved reading a book that showed that vulnerable and tough side of love. Sometimes you have to fight for love and that made for quite a journey for Loch and Shay in No Limits. I definetely wanted to yell at Lochlyn a few times throughout the book but so happy for the ending! It's amazing and yessss the ending is so so perfect and happy, still so happy for one of my favorite book couples.
Thank you Shayna for allowing me to be on your ARC team and read this book prior to release day. I can't wait for the next book!
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Shayna was releasing another full book surrounding the continuation of Shay and Loch's stroy..... it did not dissapoint!
The story conveys real struggles that relationships have to navigate through... As Shay and Loch grew some of those struggles put too much space between them and instead of leaning on each other and holding strong on the foundation they had built... their future had moments of uncertainty.
But remember the reasons why they were stiving for growth being eachother and their life together, they found their way back and were stronger than ever!
You will have sweet surprise at the end as well with their bonus epilogue. Enjoy
I dearly love Shay & Lochlyn. Their relationship hasn’t always been smooth, regardless of them being soulmates. The absolute and total trust and realness is incredible and inspiring. The growth they’ve shown, especially Shay, has been amazing to follow. Shay’s anxiety and doubts are absolutely real life issues that I can relate to & it’s something special when a character pulls you in in that way. I’m grateful we were able to follow through to this part of their story and I can’t even find the right words to share my excitement for Lochlyn’s side that will be coming soon!
This is a follow on Shay and Lochlyns story they have been so in love up until this point. Lochlyn losses sight of his focus with his new job and pretty much leaves Shay all alone. She keeps trying to let him know but he is using the excuse he is doing it for their future. Luckily he gets the wake up call he needs when she lets him know exactly how lonely she feels and leaves. He luckily gets his act together and turns things around. They find out they are pregnant and get married. They get their HEA this story is a great reminder just because you love each other you still have to put in work.
I read the previous two books which I loved. And when I got this book I knew I would love it. Shayna Astor is an amazing writer.
When I got this book I read this book the same day I got it. I couldn't stop reading it. I loved it so much. It kept me on the edge of the seat. I wanted more. I love it.
Through the story there was angst, sadness, steamy. All emotions. At time I want to scream at lochlyn.
So if you love lochlyn and Shay in book 1 then you'll love then in this book too. They definitely have ups and down but who doesn't.
So give @shayna.astor.author book a try. Go preorder this book and then read book 1 and 2 before book 3 comes out.
The latest installment of the Limits series is the realest yet. It shows us that no relationship is perfect and it gives us an inside peek into Shay and Lochlyn's "perfect" relationship where we find that common strain and trouble of balancing changes in everyday life with being present for your partner. I think so many readers will be able to relate to this story, while also giving hope that any strong relationship can get through it and overcome these common adversities. Another great addition to this sweet love story!
I loved Shay and Loch from the beginning! This 3rd book did put me through a emotional rollercoaster!!! But…. It also made me fall even more in love and awww of them! Loch did have me a upset through out the book, but I understood he needed to live, learn, and grow. Don’t we all? No one’s perfect! Shay was amazing as always and I felt her pain. I can honestly say I felt for both of them. The ending was pure perfection Chef kiss 😘 It was everything thing and I can say, I can never get tired of reading about them! I can’t wait for the next book!
Lochlyn and Shays relationship is a rollercoaster of emotions and complications that pull on your emotions and draws you in with no escape. I’m so invested in their story that I look forward to each book with anticipation. This author knows how to write a novel that will consume you totally and not let go until the last word. This book 3 is so amazing as the first two were. I can’t wait to the last one in the series but I’m sad that it will end. I highly recommend reading this series and go on a journey that will hit all the feels.
This book is a continuation of Loch and Shay’s story. It was refreshing to read something that’s so real and honest. No relationship is perfect and this story really navigates the highs and lows they go through and how they overcome them. I have to admit I wanted to shout at Lochlyn for how he acted at times, talk about infuriating! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed their story and thought it was a great addition.
Wow, what a read. I could not put this book down once I started and ended up finishing it in one sitting. It moves along at a pace that is perfect for this story, it has interesting characters that you feel like you know and you cant help but love them, no matter what. This is a book that needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.
I've said it before, the chemistry and spice of Lochlyn and Shay is wonderful. You will feel the heart ache, that Shay feels. I've felt the lonely that Shay felt. I did enjoy that they worked through the relationship, and we got to watch to see where they ended up in the end. It seems like in the end everything went well, and are better then they ever were.
Another 5 star story by Shayna!!! I seriously can not get enough of Lochlyn. The chemistry, the vulnerability, the spice, the love, and even the battles they are facing throughout. The emotional struggle throughout. The tears shed. All of it is packed into this story. Happily ever afters and perfect dreams.
This is a continuation of their love story from Off Limits. To me it felt like an honest depiction of what can happen with a relationship over time, cause relationships no matter how good they are take work to continue. It was still sweet and hot🌶, but showed maturity which was reflective of their ages. Excited for book 4!
Another amazing book by Shayna and I am so proud to be apart of her arc team since the start. Shay and Loch always get me in my feelings and feel relatable in a way. I don’t want to give anything away since this is book three in the series and it’s such a well done series. But oh my gosh! Loch is so freaking dreamy… can never get enough of Loch ever.
Parts of this book just made my heart hurt! It is so sad when people take advantage of the love people have for them. I wish Shay had stood her ground more but love does crazy things to people. I liked the HEA and the story of this couple is emotional and heartfelt. This is a great series for all romance readers.
I think this is by far my favorite in the series!! Ugh 5 stars no question. I love seeing this side of loch and shay's relationship and how true it is! Definitely one for the books. And Chelsea and Wes make me so happy! Shayna killed it yet again!!!
Ahhh, Lochlyn and Shay…. I don’t want to give too much away. But their relationship, and their relationships with Chelsea and Weston, are all so amazing. It’s the type of relationship everyone wants. Push thru the tough times, and always be there for each other.
This is a really good book. It shows you that no relationship is perfect. Everyone goes through their trials and tribulations. Shay and Loch are definitely my favorites for sure. The character growth and development over this series is written well.
This book in the series is great. It actually finishes the stories and talks about so many real emotions. I had tears, and it was hard at times to keep reading, but it shows how hard relationships can be. Read this series it is great!

This book brings us back to Shay and Lochlan! I absolutely loved them so much in Off-Limits! Shayna brought the angst this time around and I’m here for it!
You never let me down 🖤this book was sooooooooo good . I won’t lie I hated you for making me cry at some Points, but had me drooling over the love and chemistry shay and lochlyn shared throughout the book. Their rollercoaster relationship has to hit home for ALOT of people while reading this because they may have gone or going through the same thing in their relationships with time management . I loved them since book one🖤this is for sure a must read . Very , very well done .
