Running Away, Falling In Love, and Ruined Shoes
by Barbara Kelley
"Flirting With My Billionaire Boss" is Book 1 of Cindy Ray Hale's Blue Mountain Billionaires Sweet Romantic Comedy series. I liked this first book because it wasn't all overly filled with sex scenes. Anybody ages 8 to 108 can read this book without fear of passing out from graphic details. This book is about Callie Richardson, a young woman who is married to a verbally abusive rich man who doesn't ever want to have children. When Callie finds out that she's pregnant, she runs away from her husband because she knows he will want her to have an abortion. She wants to keep the baby, so she runs away at the airport, sneaks past him, hears him on the phone with another woman and telling her he loves her, and takes a taxi to another state. She travels from Atlanta's airport to Blue Mountain, Georgia, where she plans on getting a job and starting over with her baby. She meets Stella at a cafe and Stella tells her to look on the grocery store's bulletin board where job listings are posted. This is also the story of Weston Keith, a billionaire with a home in Blue Mountain and a Penthouse apartment in Atlanta. Weston has issues with women only wanting him for his money. He also just fired his female assistant, Natasha, for a suspected theft. Now he needs a new assistant, so where does he post the advertisement: the grocery store bulletin board, of course. On his way to post the note, he literally runs into a beautiful Latina woman whom he seems to fall instantly in love with. The woman is Callie and Stella is with her. Since Stella works for Weston's brother, Langston, Weston recognizes her. When Callie tells him she's okay, he goes into the grocery store and posts the note. Later, Callie finds the add, applies for the job, passes a criminal background check, and starts working as Weston's assistant, leaving out the part that she's pregnant and not yet divorced. This is also the story of Martha, the housekeeper and cook; Weston's mother, father, and four younger brothers; Jenni, a lifelong friend who is equally as wealthy, but who Weston thinks of as a sister; Markus, Callie's buzzard of a rich man soon-to-be ex-husband; and Skipper, a fluffy little dog that enjoys peeing and barfing on shoes, literally having the run of Weston's household, as well as performing other shenanigans in the house. This book is serious and tears her king in some scenes, romantic in some scenes, and downright hilarious in other scenes. By the way, I figured out right away who the thief really was. I gave this book a 5 star rating and can hardly wait for Book 2 to come out. This is probably going to be a 5 book series because there are 5 billionaire brothers, all within marrying age, and the 5 brothers' mother wants her share of grandbabies. I received an advanced reader copy and have posted my honest review voluntarily.
