Disclosure I am an ARC for this book.
This is my 1st book with this particular author. With that said, her world building and character development were amazing. It really felt like there could be shifters in modern-day Las Vegas. She did a great job of balancing fantasy and reality and making it seem more realistic.
The main characters are Cain and Brielle. In this book, shifters that are unaware of shifters' existence are called unawakened. That is what lovely Bri, as she goes by, is for most of the book. Though she has an absolute lovely nickname from Cain of Firefly that just melts my heart.
The author did a really good job of keeping you locked into the story with very little downtime in the action. And unlike a lot of shifter stories with fated mates, she is a foster care child, so she has these mental walls that she's put up around herself. So they don't jump straight into bed, and I absolutely love that this author did not rely on spicy scenes to carry the story. There are 2 spice levels 3 senses in the book that are realistic and stay on just on the right side before becoming smut.
I do feel like I should warn you that this book does end in a cliffhanger. But book 2 is set to release in August of 2023. So you do not have to wait to terribly long for a book two, and I personally can not wait to get my hands on book two.
I 100% recommend this book to anybody who's looking for a great new series to sink their teeth into a shifter universe. It's on par with the real world we live in and is very much believable. It's a nice fantasy to have that there are real shifters walking around among us.

I know I’m going to get hate for this but the cliffhanger this book handed us at the end 😍😍 ugh I loveeee being left with the unknown the way this book did me!
This book has a bit of everything, “close proximity”, stalker vibes as well as the whole fated mate trope. The plot is new and entertaining and I think the characters are well portrayed! I flew through it and am anxiously awaiting book two! Especially after that cliffhanger!
P.S I think this book got me addicted to the “She.Is.Mine” trope.

This book was amazing! Kept me on my toes the whole time and I can’t wait to read the next book! The cliffhanger is definitely something worth waiting for the next book! It’s been a while to find a book that keeps my interest but this one had me hooked!

Amazing wolf shifter romance. Bri is an unawakened wolf shifter and doesn't know. She witnesses a crime and get its all on video. Cain is an alpha, second in command to the Vegas Wolf Pack. He attempts to get close to Bri to dispose of the footage. Only one issue - she is his mate 🥰
Totally addictive story writing with layers of character and world building. I love the dynamics and devoured this in one sitting.

The book that started it all. This book was a dream come true. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would make it to publishing but I'm so proud of these characters and I hope you love the story. As always check the content warnings because I dive into some pretty deep issues. This book is meant for audiences 18+. Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts!

This book has a very interesting twist to the regular werewolf shift myths that I am used to reading. This book has a mystery that needs to be solved, while Cain gets close to his mate. It's a nice read.

This was my first shifter romance book and I pretty much went in blind, but let me tell you I have been AWAKENED. I could not put this down from the second I started reading. I devoured every page.
The story follows Bri (who is completing a degree in Marketing) and Cain (who is a wolf shifter). Once they meet, Cain picks up her scent and instantly realised she is his mate, only she doesn’t know. The sexual tension between them is electric, with past trauma and secrets stopping them from being together.
I don’t want to spoil it too much as I really enjoyed the plot twists and built up tension, but I will tell you that you certainly won’t be disappointed with the 🌶️. Though there aren’t many spices scenes, with the amount of action it honestly doesn’t need any more. It is so well written!
Oh and the cliffhanger??? Yeah… I’m going to need the next book ASAP 😩

Wow! My mind is blown! That was so unexpected and I enjoyed it so much it was like watching an action movie! The wolves in this felt more like Twilight type wolves they have all the wolf instinct but they’re not constantly roaming town as wolves. The banter and chemistry between Cain & Bri was so good! When they finally had their first kiss I was actually crying!! This was a slow burn but so worth it! This was so exciting & I could picture everything in my mind. I loved the dual PoV especially Cain’s POV he was so sweet, and swoon worthy! That cliffhanger has me wanting to throw my kindle im so impatient for the next one.

Brielle, is fiercely independent after a life of trauma and is such a sweetheart. She has dreams and aspirations outside of Vegas, anything else isn’t on her radar.
After being in the wrong place at the wrong time Brielle’s life will never be the same and Neither will Cain’s.
This book will talk you on a feels trip for sure! It ends on a major cliffhanger so be prepared!

This is the first book of the series. Brielle had a rough life. Losing her brother as a child and then being in foster home after home was incredible hard on hard. Cain is alpha who submit to his best friend in their pack. He would do anything for his pack. Until one night Brielle catches Cain and his pack in a job gone wrong that will change before their lives. While Cain realizes she is his mate that he needs to protect, he also must protect the rest of the pack. Also Cain discovers Bri is unawakened wolf. Their chemistry is incredible but their journey is unpredictable. And the cliffhanger will make you scream at everyone. I can’t wait to see what is next for Cain and his firefly.

I loved this story. Paranormal is my favorite genre to read, and you killed it with this book. It was amazing. For a debut novel (even with a cliffhanger), I devoured this story.
Bri is our FMC. She goes through something traumatic and unknowingly finds herself in a world full of paranormals. She had some great growth over the course of the story and kept my interest as the female lead.
Cain—what is there to say about Cain? I want so much more of his backstory. Since book one is a cliffhanger, I'm eager to read book two and see how his character's past made him into who he is.
Dante is the alpha of the pack, and when we get his story, I'm going to love it. He's going to have a woman knock him down a peg or two LOL. I was waiting for him to realize who Bri was at one point and imagined his head exploding LOL.
The villain in this story is revealed, but I have a suspicion we will see more of just how vile he is in book two.
Dante!! Oh my gravy, the kittens! Presley is probably my favorite character so far.
The plot and story arc moved. There wasn't a lot of downtime that made it feel slow as a reader. Everything had a purpose, even the transitions between major scenes. Key players in the story were introduced early on, but not in a confusing or overwhelming way.
All of the characters were unique, and you could see their personalities come through the pages and the story. The descriptions of the characters were great, and a reader could easily picture them. THIS IS A BOOK I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This is a new prn author coming on the scene, and she nailed it. I can't wait to see/read all the other stories in her series. Top read for 2023, and we are only a month in!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought it was absolutely sublime. This is your sign to pick this book up now. Like… right now… ‘Fated mate’ may be my new favorite trope.
Brielle - Brielle is a strong girl who works hard as well as completing university. She is following her dreams and not letting anything stand in the way. She should be a true idol in encouraging people to chase the future that you want and make it happen regardless of the past or who/where you came from.
Cain - Cain is extremely charming and lovely individual. Although knowing and internally fighting constantly his natural instincts to claim Bri, he pushes and encourages her to chase her dreams even if this means sacrificing his own feelings and wants as well as his own dreams that he is needing with Bri so she can follow her own. This is what true love is. We should all aspire to be a little like Cain sometimes.
I found this book extremely well written and contained the perfect amount of world building and character development without leaving too much out or including too much in. I truly love Amanda Nichole’s writing style in this book.
I am now left extremely hungover and eager to read Fate Awakened so I can delve back into the world of Cain and Bri. I knew this would be a 5⭐️ read from the first few chapters.
As always make sure to check the trigger warnings if there is any. This book is written in dual POV and is left on a cliff hanger that will leave you questioning if you can truly wait for the sequels release without going mad.

Let’s start with this was a 5 star read for me. It was the first book that made me go wow I want to remember these lines and highlight them in the kindle version. The banter and sexy lines are chef’s kiss.

Then we have our MMC Cain - hot, broody, and an alpha by blood, second in command by choice. He is tasked with following her and trying to find out what she knows and why she isn’t talking. What happens next he wasn’t prepared for.
There is a cliff hanger ending, and it broke me. I cannot wait for the next installment!

Overall, I really liked this story.
Okay for starters. I read this book because it was the beginning of the sequel that I received as an ARC review, but I'm so glad that I did. This book is so good. I love the dynamic between Bri and Cain. The fact that they're mated, but Bri doesn't know it because she's not even aware that she's unawakened, but feels a pull towards Cain is great. I like how even though she tries to deny the tug she can't, and Cain doesn't want to ruin her life because she has plans.
This story is well written and the characters are well developed. You end up loving them and being invested. There isn't much spice in the story to be honest, but you don't realize because the story plot was really good.
I can't wait to read the second one.

I truly enjoyed this book. It was a very pleasant surprise to find there was a full cast of narration. This was entertaining and exciting to follow, and I'm a bit disappointed that book 2 isn't audio as well. But I definitely recommend this book.

I have a bone to pick with author Amanda! You cannot do this to me..that cliffhanger was absolutely beautifully worded but heartbreaking at the same time. I love the banter between the characters! The plot of the book was well thought out and easy to grasp and keep ahold of. Kept me wanting for more. I love the possessive nature of Cain and the witty nature of Brielle! They compliment each other perfectly! There is a wonderful mix of spicy and suspense that keeps you wanting more as well the backstory fitting perfectly into the current plot. Well done! I cannot wait to read Fate Awakened!

Talk about edge of your seat. There are a million and one words to describe this book. Let me give you a few. Bri and the life she has ENDURED thus far and the life she doesn’t even know exists. Cain and his FANCY “tech job”. After the job goes wrong moving some high tech codes gets Cain caught up in the tangled web that is his MATE, who has no idea what or who he is. The constant BATTLE that wages within him wishing he could lay it all out or to continue his charade and leave her in The dark to keep her protected just a little longer or risk losing her and telling her that her that everything she knows including him is a lie….

There was no lagging no long drawn out monologues, the world in which they live is easily imagined and brought to life continuously. The angst …….male and female POV, the drama, the slight mystery. All of it. This shifter romance was phenomenal.

I got this as a Beta read and I loved it. I normally dont read alot of shifter books but this one was perfect. The suspense and the drama the slow burn. I can real see this happening in vegas. Yes my new dady is cain

This book certainly has a slower burn than some other stories that I have read and leaves you with a massive cliffhanger but man was it awesome!
Bri is such a strong FMC. Having spent most of her life on her own working towards things that a lot of other kids at UNLV have just been handed, she is ready to finish her schooling and follow her dreams of leaving Vegas. Her fate however is changed after she leaves work one night and ends up being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Cain knows he is good looking and certainly has used that to his advantage. As the right hand man to his Alpha, Dante, he is certainly a major player in keeping his pack on top and stopping a takeover. Never in his wildest dreams was he expecting that there would be a witness he would have to take care of on a night he was taking care of pack business, let alone that she would actually put his life on a new trajectory he didn't think possible.
Both Cain and Bri know how to push each others buttons and say just enough to get under each other's skin. Their relationship certainly starts off rocky- and to be honest, is only going to get worse before it gets better when secrets are revealed- but they also know how to rein each other in- which has to do with the strong bond that they share with each other, even if at times at least one party doesn't understand the connection. There are certainly a lot of moving parts in this story not only with Bri and Cain, but pack business that Cain is dealing with as well as one of Bri's closest friends who may be hiding something. The foreshadowing is great in the sense that you know something bad is going to happen to at least one of our MC's but you don't really get a sense of what until it does and it certainly leaves you as the reader wondering if there were clues you missed while reading that could have predicted this.
The cliffhanger also leaves many questions, as it should. I am really anxious to begin reading the next book because there is so much that I now need to know, especially if Bri and Cain are ever going to get their shot at a happy ending.

Will she leave him? Brielle has her life after college planned out. Cain can't make her stay with him. Will she want him to go with her?
Unfortunately, this book ends on a cliffhanger. I need book two as soon as possible. I have to know what will happen. This book is fast paced and will keep readers guessing. Readers won't know who to trust. I just want Brielle to be alright and have her happy ending. I can't wait to read the next book in this exciting series.

I picked this series on a whim after meeting the author at an event in Scottsdale. Although I do have the paperbacks, I completed this read via the audiobook. First, the audiobook. The narrators were fantastic and I'll be thinking of the MMCs voice & growl for some time.. 🥵 I enjoy a varying cast. The flow and the pace was excellent. The quality was 💯 on par with the audiobooks done by trad published authors.
For the book itself - I was excited to read based on meeting the author, however, I didn't have any preconceived thoughts before starting. What I enjoyed most about this book was that it took the time it needed to introduce the characters and begin developing the plot. Was it spicy? Sure, and there was even some spice early on, but I do really appreciate when the reader has a chance to get to know the characters before they get to the spice. The book ended on a cliffhanger, so I'm prepping for Book 2 ❤️

love a good ole fated mates story!
This story had me hooked from the start! I love a FMC whose strong, educated, and fierce. And who doesn’t love a handsome, sweet, badass wolf shifter for the MMC.
There’s a twist at the end, that I wasn’t expecting at all. Can’t wait for the second book!

This book!!! I didn’t want it to end. All I wanted to do my entire day was read. I think I carried my kindle around everywhere to squeeze in some more any chance I got. This was my first shifter romance and holy fuhhhhhh, I’m obsessed. Cain is so perfect and I just adored Bri so much. They are perfection. Book two cannot come quick enough! Amanda’s writing is so beautiful, her wording and her descriptions allow you to really get a picture of the entire setting!

While I normally do not add reviews I'm going to on this on because Amanda Nichole you are omg goodness. Your story line immediately sucks you in from the get go and makes you not want to put the book down till it's finished. Now spoiler alerts she does leave wanting more at the end but doesn't all great author's.
Bri and Cain love story start with her seeing something she shouldn't and Cain job of making sure to cover everything up. Can Cain do his job, protect the pact, and get to keep Bri? While all Bri wants to do is finish school, get the hell out of the city and get the job of her dreams and keep her heart in tact.
