After writing a sapphic romance runaway bestseller, Bella escapes to the island of Oahu to find a way past her horrible writer's block. When nothing seems to be working, she signs up for a kayaking adventure only to end up face-to-face with JC, her gorgeous college crush. Somewhere over the years, the two women lost touch, but now they are in paradise, and anything can happen, especially love.
“Always Another Sunset” was originally published in episodes as part of Kindle Vella under the title “One Last Sunset.” The novel version has all the previous content plus approximately 10% more, which adds more depth to the story and includes a new chapter of a passionate love scene.

KC Luck has another amazing story. I enjoyed the reconnected friends turned lovers. The chemistry is outstanding. This was a feel good book that I'm sorry to see it end. I look forward to more books.
Set in the beautiful states of Hawaii and Oregon the story Always Another Sunset is about two college friends finding each other. They realize too much time has passed and they need to reveal their true feelings. This love story between JC and Bella is so heartwarming. It is a must read.
I loved the carefree life JC lives in Hawaii and the chance encounter that brings Bella back into her life. A lovely story of second chances set in a beautiful backdrop. Well written characters and low angst romance. Definitely recommend!
Loved the new characters and locations in this story. Any story that has dog or cat for that matter is always better. Read this author’s books and leave your reviews. Thanks for using Kindle Unlimited for your books.
What a beautiful story! I loved both MCs. The story was well written, although at times it felt almost too perfect. Nonetheless, it was a sweet, feel-good love story and nice read.
Another gem from my TBR shelves! Bella is a successful author who vacations in Hawaii. She has writers block. To change things up, she signed up for an Ocean kayaking trip. When she can't believe her eyes, the woman leading the trip is JC her friend from college and her crush! When JC recognizes Bella, she thinks the same thing, there's my crush from college. The two women have dinner together and since Bella's back with JC , her writers block has left her. JC is her muse! Such a lovely, friends to lovers love story! I LOVE this book! 5 stars!
Always Another Sunset by KC Luck is a second chance, friends to lover’s romance set on the island of Hawaii. I nearly forgot to mention there is also a pet!
JC is an Army veteran who lives on the island of Hawaii, where she set up a business providing guides via kayak. Bella is a best-selling author who has writer’s block. She needs to get away and do something different to get her out of this mindset. Of all the tours Bella could choose, without knowing, she chose JC’s despite being petrified of the ocean. Bella and JC went to college together before going their separate ways and losing touch.
The protagonists in this book come across as being great buddies in college with a magnetic chemistry which does not alter later in life. The scene settings around Hawaii sound breathtaking, including the crystal-clear waters.
If you fancy a low angst novel that will keep you engaged, this is one of them.
I love K.C. Luck's stories. This is no exception. The story develops in Hawaii, a writer is having problems with creativity and goes to Hawaii for inspiration. She signs up for a kayak adventure tour which is the most unlikely thing she could ever do. Well, her college best friend is the tour guide and owner of the adventure tours. They were both in love with each other in college, but they never expressed it. The book describes the beauty of the Hawaii islands, there's a dog rescue which would win me over on any book, lol. The characters are very likable, their dilemma over starting a relationship is the distance, one lives in Hawaii and the other in Portland. But you're rooting for them and hope they don't give each other up again. I recommend it.
What can I say about a sweet, sexy romantic love story written by KC? I feel when she writes romance with sweet characters, smoldering chemistry, pure happiness and heartwarming love, she is at her best. KC’s storytelling can take you on many adventures but this was everything that reached out to me. The Hawaii location, kayaking, a lovable dog, a Hallmark movie and a love that is so deep and rewarding you can’t help falling in love with JC, Bella and Roxie/Gracie. Truly worth reading!
Loved this story! Bella and JC knowing each other in school and reconnecting years later reminds me of my wife and me, so maybe I’m a little biased, but this is just the sweetest love story. There are just enough bumps in their road to being together to keep things interesting without a ton of angst. Plus, there is a dog…and Hawaii…did I mention I loved this story?
Omg wow what a beautiful love story I loved the main characters chemistry their connection shined through its a beautiful heartfelt love story definitely must read I couldn't put it down congratulations
I've read a lot of long distance relationship stories, and usually one person completely gives up on their original life. But in this story, it was nice to see two people working together
I already loved this story when I first read it as a Kindle Vella book. Now that it's been released as Kindle Unlimited with added changes and more emotional depth it pulls at my heartstrings even more. Also I'm slightly biased because it takes place in Hawaii on the Island of Oahu. It was so descriptive and brought up so many wonderful memories from when I lived there. I especially loved the plumeria trees as there was one right outside my window. Thanks for the trip down memory lane paired with a sweet second chance Sapphic romance!
I absolutely love reading KC Luck’s books and “Always Another Sunset” is just one reason why! They’re extremely entertaining and easy to get into. Bella and JC have wonderful chemistry and, with a cute dog involved, you can’t go wrong!
DNF. Best friends that lost touch find each other on an island and immediately admit feelings during their first reunion. I rarely believe this happens, and I'm usually immediately put off a story like that.
I loved this book. A second chance for love to bloom after many years. It's hard to beat Hawaii as a backdrop. Warm, and sexy, throw in a very smart dog and real love, it can only end well.
This type of saccharine romance isn't my cup of tea but I can definitely appreciate it as a subgenre for those who want a sweet, simple, love story. And what better setting than the beautiful Oahu?
JC and Bella two independent women who studied in college together and reunite in Oahu, Hawaii. They immediately hit it off. HEA ending. Lacked much romantic scenes. Entertaining and Sweet.
