Pain was the only constant in my life.

Love? Loyalty? Protection? Just whispers of hope I stopped listening to.
The Cold Moon Pack made sure of it—breaking me piece by piece, stripping away every part of who I was.

Until they crashed into my world.
Uninvited. Unapologetic. Impossible to stop.
What I didn’t expect?

To catch the attention of not one, but three dangerously possessive wolf shifters.
One with golden eyes who watches me like I already belong to him.
One with a sharp tongue and a sunshine grin that hides a storm of violence.
And one tattooed in shadows, whose darkness calls to something fractured—and burning—inside me.

They didn’t just see my broken parts. They claimed them as theirs.
But the world around us is unraveling. A war over shifter territories looms, alliances are crumbling, and the Cold Moon Pack’s plans are darker than anyone imagined. The Hunter’s Moon Ritual will grant them unimaginable strength—if they spill enough blood to take it.

Survival was never promised.
And the bond I share with my mates?
It wasn’t a salvation.
It was a death sentence.

Howling Love is Book One in the Hunter’s Moon Ritual trilogy—a dark, steamy, why-choose wolf-shifter romance packed with fated mates, primal tension, found family, and dangerous rituals.

Haunted by her past and bound to a future written in blood, Gracie never expected the possessive pull of three shifter mates—men who could be her only chance at freedom… or the ones who break her completely.

Content Warning: Contains explicit language, on page physical violence and abuse, adult sexual content (18+), PTSD, references to past abuse, violence, and other dark themes.

I am not sure I will ever like a female character that has a start to life like this, personal preference obvs but spoilers ahead.

I struggle with books that start with traumatic upbringing because we spend so much time on the "broken" parts of the characters that it takes us forever to have some forward movement in the story. This is true of 3 of our main characters at this point. Gracie has panic attacks, PTSD symptoms, and had a horrible start to life in this book. She is jumpy and meek and is a damsel in distress that is clinging to everyone literally to survive. Now, I get that from her back story but there is only so much clawing and hanging off of the three guys for safety I can take. Its a personal preference but Jesus woman get some spine.
We then have two main male characters fighting off their trauma background and round and round we go with "I'm just to dangerous and dark and will harm her light" 🤢 Do I like morally grey men? Yes. Do I want a whiny inner monologue.? No. I would almost prefer the enemies to lovers trope where he just hates her for no reason.
Overall, this is a book one through and through. We are getting to know characters and the world around them so I won't be tooooo harsh about this next part buttt where is the world building. We scrape the surface of the groups, of the gods, but everything else fell flat. Also! plot? just bad alpha? Okay, then why have you not done anything? it's not some more high ground if you only did it to get your mate. Maybe she would have had a way better life if you had taken them out earlier.

I'm a bit on the fence about this one, and the worst part is, I can't quite pinpoint why.

The first part of the book is pretty brutal. Gracie lives in a cold, desolate environment under Alpha Ivan's tyrannical rule. Even though she's able to hide away most of the time as his cook, those around her cannot. Be sure to check the trigger warnings for this one.

When she meets Ravik, Thornar, and Basir, her life changes drastically. I won't spoil anything, but the shift from her life "before them" to "with them" is an absolute whiplash. The group gives off such delicious vibes! Just be aware that this is a very slow burn, so while the attraction is instant, there's no spice just yet. Oh, and Basir is currently my favorite. I call dibs :D

Gracie's journey is a tough one, even more so when the Gods themselves get involved.
Her men, each in their own way, are fiercely protective and want to shield her from harm (and maybe from themselves a bit as well).

Since Gracie knows next to nothing about the world outside the compound, we learn alongside her, which means the world-building unfolds naturally, which I really appreciated.

I think what bothers me is that some things that happen or are explained in the book feel a bit confusing. It's not that everything needs to be resolved, I mean, that's what a series is for, but it feels like some thoughts or scenes start to go somewhere and then unexpectedly stop. It felt a bit confusing, at least it felt like that for me (though I'm pretty sure this is more of a "me" thing than a "book" thing).

The book is well-written with no noticeable errors. At 236 pages and 26 chapters, it's a relatively quick read with multiple points of view. There's no real cliffhanger, which is a big plus, but the ending will definitely make you want to grab the next book as soon as it comes out.

Do you like reverse harem with possessive, growly men who give off major "who did this to you" vibes? Are you okay with a tough start for the heroine? If so, you should definitely pick this one up!

I'm really excited for this new shifter series! Gracie has a soft heart but a tough spirit, and the fellas are ready to burn the world to save her. And they did, sort of. lol

Already, we've got some promising side characters: the siblings to Ravik and Thornar. And we have a WLW couple in the supporting cast, which was a lovely surprise.

Can't wait to see what's next for Gracie!

This just wasn't unique enough to stand out in the shifter why choose genre. Pet names follow the same convention - one generic (glow), one that includes "little" (little flame), and one in a other language (lua mea or something, I blocked it out). Whenever an FMC is coming from a highly abusive and traumatic background, I always prefer my FMCs to come through it with a "I am my own master" attitude and a backbone of steel. I don't love it when the FMC comes out of it to immediately swoon and fall into MMC's arms and let them take over her life. Choosing clothes, hand feeding, watching her sleep. You can say "they are mates so it's okay" but it still gives me the heebie jeebies.

I love M. Sinclair, and when I found out she was releasing a wolf shifter series, yes, please! Howling Love was incredible.

Gracie is such a sweetheart. She's a survivor. It showed true strength to survive the invasion of her pack, and through it all, she managed to keep her heart. She deserves guys who will cherish her, and she gets exactly that with Thornar, Ravik, and Basir. I adored them, especially Thor. I like it when the guys are close before the MFC shows up, so I'm loving that the guys are more like brothers. Not only that, Ravik's family was close to all of them as well. Between the "family" bonds and the lovely fall setting, I was enjoying the cozy vibes.

Heck, I loved everything about this book. The plot, the characters, and the world-building were fantastic. This was a modern fantasy with cinnamon roll (to their girl) MMCs, a chosen one trope, and original mythology. The amount of detail that went into creating this world was incredible. The mythology was one of my favorite things in this book, as was the scene at the sweets shop. I'm surprised that the mythology plays such a key role in the storyline, but I'm not mad about it. With the big reveal at the end, I was a little surprised by where the story is heading, but I'm excited about it.

Howling Love was fantastic and is just the start to Gracie's story. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book. If you love wolf shifters, sweet main characters, and the touch-her-and-die trope, then this is a must-read.

Overall, the book was just OK I guess. It was extremely slow and very, very boring in general. There wasn’t anything that would make me wanna read book two.

Fate, fear and freedom! 🐺
Ahhhhh I’m so happy I got to read this!! This is the first reverse harem new series from M Sinclair in a little while and she’s back with a bang 😄
Our FMC is Gracie who’s incredibly selfless has gone through some tough trauma at the hands of pack leader Ivan 😣 however one fateful night changes her life in unimaginable ways…she meets three men from another pack that spurs into motion her ‘sacrifice’ and from then on the story snowballs! The author does well with dropping intriguing elements such as the role of the Eight, whilst leaving enough out to make you want the next one asap 😅 the stand out for me though, as always with Sinclairs works, are the men! They are obsessive, possessive, touch her and 💀, and utterly devoted to the MMC - they each show this in diffent ways to give them starkly different personalities 😍 they are so gentle with Gracie and they learn about their bond…not sure she or her wolf understands what’s going on, whilst also managing to somehow demonstrate their sheer desire for her 🔥🔥 this is slow burn but oh yes the chemistry is there! Looking forward to the next one 😄

Loved this! different from most of the shifter books I have read while I can enjoy a good instalove the balance here with just the right amount of slow burn left me craving more. The amount of characters you meet is slightly overwhelming but the family tree helps make that a bit more clear. The interactions between Gracie and her men is *chefs kiss* With the world description it also gives almost a futuristic feel.

A Howling Success, But the Bonds Need to Catch Up

Howling Love is book 1 in a brand new wolf shifter reverse harem series from M. Sinclair.  We’re thrust into the devastatingly brutal life of the Cold Moon Pack and one Gracie Holloway.  A survivor who has managed to maintain her caring and selfless side despite the repeated trauma and hopelessness she’s experienced most of her life.  Thanks to an unexpected meeting, she learns she has not one, but three, mates - Ravik, Thornar, and Basir.  Each in his own growly and hunky packaging (obviously).

I found Howling Love an enjoyable read and introduction to this new universe, but there’s something missing.  I had a difficult time getting invested in any of the characters.  Insta-love without any build-up or insight into the characters’ personalities isn’t my personal favorite so that may have been part of it, but it also felt like there wasn’t a genuine connection between Gracie and her men outside of the mate bond.  I could have believed the mate bond tropes (fierce protectiveness, connection, and need to be near one another) if we saw more of their personalities individually and interacting with each other throughout the story.

M. Sinclair’s ability to create worlds (or entire universes depending on the series) continues to impress.  I have no doubts that she’ll fully suck me into the lives of these characters in the coming books.  While the cliffhanger ending was more of a gentle slope, it was intriguing enough to pique my curiosity on what’s to come in the rest of the Hunter’s Moon series.  Be sure not to skip the Thornfell Registry in the back of the book for some easter eggs (or at least that’s I hope the redactions are).

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Check out my reviews

I'm not completely sold..... yet.

Plot: 3
Character dev: 3
Spice: 0.5 (couple frisky inner thoughts)
Overall: 2

Ok, the story itself isn't bad, but we kind of get thrown into the conflict from the start with next to no context. We know the Cold Moon Pack is bad, but like why? How/Why did that all begin?

It was also pretty hard to believe that almost every other skulk, clan, flight, pack, etc was afraid to storm that small pack even knowing the crap they were doing. Because that just doesn't make sense. So everyone knows what they are doing and they disagree with it and admits that it's wrong, but no one does anything about it. C'mon... 😑 How are you going to say that there are dragons in this world, but they hesitate to go up against a shoddy wolf pack because of POLITICS?! Seriously?

****SPOILER ALERT******
Also, how did the CMP even manage to trap Nyx in the first damn place? This might be answered in another book, but again things just don't make sense.

Then Gracie was probably there worst person to be anyone's "chosen one". Don't get me wrong, I understand PTSD and all the things that usually come with it, but not remembering pertinent information is just ridiculous. Nyx pretty much gave her a play by play of what ole dude plans to do and she just conveniently forgets to share that info with the group. 😒🙄

I'm truly just having a difficult time falling into this world. I don't feel connected or attached to any of the characters at all. Usually while I'm reading, the story plays out in my mind like a movie. I can fully immerse myself in the world and that is not happening for me here. It's more like looking at a picture book with each scene being some new random visual. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don't know how to explain it, but there is a disconnect for me.

Another fantastic read from the wonderful M. Sinclair! Howling Love swept me away with its beautifully done mythology and magic system, weaving together shifters, evil plots, and a story that just keeps pulling you deeper. Gracie's journey was such a standout—watching her transform and truly begin to find herself made the book feel powerful and personal.

And then there are the men: three MMCs who are the very definition of “touch her and die” (protective perfection), and one MMC who constantly had me wondering, “Who hurt you?” because wow, he’s layered. The romance is low spice, but honestly? It worked perfectly, letting the bonds, tension, and emotional depth take center stage.

On the flip side, there’s a certain bad guy who rubbed me the completely wrong way - I wanted to kill the misogynistic prick myself. The fact that other characters actually called him out on his behavior was so satisfying (though, not for Gracie, considering what happens 😢).

And then… that cliffhanger. M Sinclair, how dare you?! I was left screaming in my head, demanding to know where book 2 is—and honestly wondering if I’ll need to sell a child to get it sooner.

This was such a strong and addictive installment, and I need more of this world immediately.

Thank you SO SO much to M and the team for allowing me early access to read and review - Book 2, I am waiting for you!

Wow!

M. Sinclair is one of my favorite authors & I was so excited when she announced this book was coming out. I don’t think I’ve come across a book that I didn’t like & this one didn’t disappoint either.

Gracie has only know pain for the last 10 years of her life. Losing her family at the hands of a monstrous pack left her feeling hopeless. She did whatever she could to survive. But when the Alpha commands her to attend an event with her in hopes of bargaining her off to another -Alpha, she’s just hoping she makes it out alive.

She never intended to meet three men who she felt an undeniable pull to while there.

These three men are immediately taken with her as well & vow to help her.

They do, coming in at the last minute to save her from a sacrifice. And so begins how she meets & gets to know those three men that have be tethered to her.

All three of them are as equally obsessed with her as she is with them, even if one is fighting just a little bit because of his sordid past. But the way they all tend to & care for her was so sweet. Especially after everything she has been through, she deserved some happiness.

I am very curious what happened to her brother & I really hope he’s still out there.

This book definitely had me hooked in front of the very beginning & I am so excited to see how it all plays out.

Amazing job!

You guys, this book has literally everything. A quiet, broken, but badass FMC, three obsessive and possessive mates and best friends that are hysterical.

It's not a secret that M Sinclair likes to write instalove stories and this one is no different. However, it is done in a way that makes complete sense to the story line. I also really love that the cliffhanger at the end wasn't a doozy. It leaves just enough suspense to make you obsess over the next book, but not so much that you're pulling your hair out waiting for the next.

The world itself is unique, but not confusing. She provides a glossary to keep track of everything as well as explains them in detail in the story itself. I find that sometimes it's hard to keep track of fantasy worlds, but that's definitely not the case with this one.

I highly recommend this, yes even though it's not complete, because this book will give you all the warm and fuzzy feelings you could want.

The story itself is on the darker side, so please do read the triggers.

4.5 *

“Howling Love” is one of those stories that starts of strong. I was immediately intrigued by the dangers and malice our fmc had to encounter every day, and could practically feel her anxiety through the pages. It definitely set the scène to realize who the villains are in this story, and I already can’t wait to see them meet justice.

Gracie is a fitting name for our fmc. She has survived all this time by making herself small and inconspicuous, and it is clear it will take time to grow out of her shell. It makes it a little harder for me to connect with her at this point, but I’m hopeful that will change later on. The men are still a bit of a mystery, but they are definitely all in from the start, and simply adore their mate from the start. Basir has some personal issues that make it harder to develop a physical relationship with Gracie, but he does everything in his power to make her feel loved nonetheless. So if you want your mates a danger to others, but a softy for their woman, this is the story for you!

I don’t think the cliffhanger at the end is a very steep one, but I’m definitely excited to find out what book two will bring!

There's so much about this book, I fear I dont have enough words to express much I loved this story! The book kept me hooked the entire time, I literally couldn't stop reading it once I started! I finish it in one sitting, it was too good to put down! The world building is absolutely amazing. You can tell through the writing that M Sinclair really focuses on this new universe, but at the same time, she doesn't let that take away from the main characters! Gracie is such an interesting FMC, and I can't wait to see how she grows throughout the entire series. The romance is a slow burn, which actually suits the story perfectly, especially seeing what Gracie has gone through! But at the same time, the men are amazing, they're so protective and sweet to Gracie. I can't wait to see more moments between Gracie and her men. I love how the characters have been written, not just the main characters, but even the side characters are so interesting!!

Also, the cliffhanger at the end of this book, oml. It's not a cliffhanger in the traditional sense, but it does make wanting
to know what's going to happen next so bad, and I can't wait to see what happens in the second book!!

Gracie is awakened to the sounds of her and her family been taken as slaves by The Cold Moon Pack with Alpha Ivan Rivers in charge. The next 10 years of her life is pure hell, losing her mother, father, and her brother (maybe). Then one day Alpha Ivan picks her to go to a trade conference to use her to get Alpha Waylon Kane’s attention to curry favor so that Alpha Ivan can negotiate a trade deal with Alpha Kane. However, at the trade conference Gracie comes into contract with 3 alphas that are meant to be her fated mates. Alpha Kane was upset that they would offer him Gracie and turned Alpha Ivan down. This caused Alpha Ivan to turn into a rage said it was Gracie’s fault, he immediately took her back to The Cold Moon Pack Territory planning to sacrifice her for her perceived failure. As her mates rush to get to Gracie before Alpha Ivan uses her in a sacrifice, can Gracie see her new life and accept love after years of cruelty? And what about the lady that Gracie keeps seeing in a trace? What is Alpha Ivan up to? Also, except a cliff hanger from this author that makes you want to scream! Looking forward to the next story, this is differently one to read.

Hooked Again

It’s been a while since I read a shifter romance. I remember when so many were being released, and I feel like I devoured them all. I took a bit of a break, but this book was the perfect way to dive back into the genre. I like that while the “shifter” aspect is fairly universal, each author puts their own spin on it and this was no different.

One thing I love about this author is her ability to consistently capture me within the first chapter or two. In this case, I was hooked from the prologue. I couldn’t put down the first three-quarters of the book. It did slow down a bit toward the end, which makes sense for the story, but I found myself wanting more. I really enjoyed learning about the history and this world, and I think once we get to know the men better it will help enrich the story. I feel bad but I don’t mind skipping some of the blossoming romance because I am more excited to find out what is happening with the rest of the story.

Thankfully it didn’t end on a cliffhanger, but the information we were left with has me itching for more from this world.

Words can't really describe how good this book was or how it made me feel but I am going to give it a try.

Gracie, our FMC is going to be one of this authors greatest main characters to date (and trust me, I have my favourites). I love her character. She is vulnerable but strong and not in the typical, in-your-face strength. She is the embodiment of hope. Everything that she has endured and survived. Everything that she feels. Her compassion. Her wolf.

The MMC's are all just as layered and I love that their backstories are just as involved as our Gracie's and that their characters are explained. Why they do what they do.

The plot is really well thought out and the inhabitants of this world, the side characters are just as awesome. The villains are truly reprehensible and I really haven't hated a bad guy this much in a while. There is no redemption for him/them in my opinion and I have so many ideas on how he/they should be ended. BUT I am placing trust in this amazing author and I am so excited to see what happens in book 2. I fell in love with this new series and I hope you do as well.

Tropes you’ll find: why choose (MFMM), shifters, fated mates, blood rituals, “touch her and die” energy, found family, hurt/comfort, protective alphas, softer FMC, and packs at war.

Gracie is our main girl, and I just love her. She lost her parents young and has been stuck under the control of Alpha Ivan—who is the worst. Despite everything, she’s still kind and sweet, but with this quiet strength underneath. I know some people prefer a super badass FMC, but I’m honestly all about the damsel-in-distress vibe. It just works for me. 😅

Then we’ve got Ravik and his two best friends, Thornar and Basir. The second they meet Gracie, the mate bond hits hard and they’re ready to burn the world down to protect her. All three of them are great, but Basir is my guy. He’s the damaged one, and I can already tell Gracie is going to break down all his walls in the best way. 🥺

This first book is definitely more emotional and slow-burn than action-packed, but you can feel the setup for some wild stuff with other packs and even the Gods. The ending was perfect—just enough to feel satisfying but still leaving me dying for Book Two.

I'm not usually a big fan of wolf shifter books, but I usually like this author's work, so I picked this up, and I'm glad I did. This had some dark themes, but also some truly wholesome ones as well. It really balances the dark out with themes of family, friendship, and sweet romances.

We get some:
Gods.
3 wolf shifter harem.
An unhinged, obsessive ml
Sunshine ml with a dark side.
Shifter packs.
Enslavement.
Trafficking shifters.
Female friendship.
A traumatized fl trying to find her inner and outer wolf.
Sacrificial Rituals.
Fated mates.
Hurt/Care. (Mostly mental, I love how understanding and thoughtful the guys are with her traumatic past)
Culty compound living.
"Who did this to you?"
PTSD rep.
Tiny choded dictator.
Lesbian priestesses. (honestly, need books starring lesbian priestesses, new kink unlocked)
"Why the fuck is she crying?"
Ravina<3 Snarky frenemy.
No smut, but everyone is horny for each other by the end.
No mm.
Trigger warnings! Things like mentioned/attempted SA, unwanted touching, physical violence, enslavement/imprisonment, trafficking mentioned, forced marriage, etc.

Great Read

This was a great book. I really felt the devastating emotions from Gracie aka 341 aka 314. We read about the attack/coup on her clan. The killing of her father and the time her brother Owen went missing.
Later, after she had aged to about 21, her cruel alpha decided to use her as a bargaining chip at a trade conference, it didn’t go well for the alpha and he was about to sacrifice her to the gods (the 8 gods they worship are talked about daily) when the men she met at the conference came and saved her at the last second. All of this was about 75% of the book. It went really fast in my eyes. Due to the broken magic that wasn’t completed, one of the gods nyxara somehow latched onto Gracie and her men, making them her chosen champions. At the end, they are trying to figure out how to take down the cruel alpha (ivan) when Gracie receives a vision. Ivan is going to sacrifice 1000’s to open the gates (to what we don’t know). It sounds like Ivan has Nyxara bound and is forcing her to do what Ivan wants even though no one but Gracie can see her. I’ll be interested in reading the next one!

Gracie has had it tough, her life before meeting her pack has been brutal and full of loss and that is set up well in the first few chapters of Howling Love.

I found this important, as the balance of the slow burn and the wondrous contrast of life with her men, makes sense. And you just know that everything, including the chemistry, is going to ramp up in book two.

Ravik, Basir and Thornar each bring very different personalities to the mix and, whilst they adore Gracie and show their softer sides, they are apex predators and this definitely shines through.

There's a lot being set up in this first book and it may feel a teeny bit overwhelming, however I've read lots of M Sinclair books and all become clear over her series, with layer upon layer of great world and character building.

I loved the insta attraction and protectiveness of our mmc's towards Gracie and I can't wait for the next book to see how they progress with such danger on the horizon.

Brilliant start to what no doubt will be a fantastic series.

It was a great time for me to pick up a fantasy book with those Romance roots based in a shifter, why choose story. Gracie - the FMC - is a survivor who has endured trauma since she was a child. On an unexpected turn of events, her “alpha“ tasks her to come with him on a little journey. This starts a series of events that introduces her to three shifters that are immediately drawn to her.

The girl is just trying to survive! Things don’t start off well for her especially mixing up gods & power hungry shifters… and the story had me hooked within the first couple chapters. I devoured the first 50% in one sitting. Once the story takes some positive turn, Gracie gets to just be and learn about life outside of the prisoner life she led. There is also some chapters focused more on the three men who adore her.

This is fated mates with a little twist thanks to a certain god. No extreme cliffhanger, but definitely left me wanting to know what happens in the next book as the stakes have risen in this trilogy. Thank you so much M Sinclair for my advanced reader copy 🖤🐺

Hunter's moon ritual

I am a huge fan of this author's work. This offering was very different from her other books. First in unfinished series, this new paranormal world consists of continents, each housing several somewhat modern "countries" led by animal shifters. Spoilers:
We meet our wolf shifter heroine as a child just as an evil dictator, Ivan, viciously overtakes her country. Ivan treats his people as slaves known by numbers. Ten years later Ivan decides to trade her as breeding stock to another Alpha (A dragon) during the country wide trade forum. At the forum she meets three other wolf shifters from a different country who instantly realize she is their mate. The dragon rejects Ivan's alliance and he decides to sacrifice her to the Gods as punishment. Her mates chase them and save her as the knife is plunged and the Goddess binds the four together with a God Scar. The group return to their country and proceed to get to know each other. This book is really quite simple and verges on boring. But because of the author I will continue.

Howling Love is the start of a new series by M. Sinclair. It is a bit dark in the beginning because Gracie, our FMC, is living underneath a tyrannical leader, Alpha Ivan, and the land has turned away from his rule (rightfully so). Her position as his cook does afford her some relative protection, until it doesn't.

When Gracie travels with Alpha Ivan, she ends up meeting the Alphas Ravik, Thornar, and Basir. They all feel a pull to each other, but before they can really explore anything, Alpha Ivan leaves with Gracie. The men end up saving Gracie from Alpha Ivan and taking her from the Cold Moon pack. While Gracie is with them, they all slowly grow closer together as they learn more about each other and try to figure out what Alpha Ivan is up to.

This book is a slow burn. It also does hang on a cliffhanger, but it's not too brutal. I think for the start of a new series its pretty good, and I can't wait to read the next to learn where the story will go.

Oh wow! There’s a reason M Sinclair is one of the best—and this book is testament to that. It’s everything I’ve been wanting in a book! Tons of sweetness from the romantic interests, a female lead who doesn’t know how powerful she can truly be, and and incredible storyline!
The world building is fantastic, complete with a unique pantheon!
Gracie’s plight draws you in—the incredible strength it takes to survive what she’s been through. I love that we get those Damsel vibes now—but her men are ready and willing to build her up to be a power in her own right:
“We would surround her with shields until she was ready to charge into battle herself.”

The ending is a bit of a cliff, but it’s the perfect kind. Not enough to frustrate you, just enough to leave your heart pounding!
This is a truly fantastic book—as you can always expect from M Sinclair! I can’t wait for the next installment!

I really liked this new series starter! The FMC pulled me in right away with her backstory and I'm really intrigued with at least one of the MMC's stories as well (check out the end of the book for some possible hints 👀). I would have liked another scene or two of relationship building, but then again, the plot was BIG and needed lots of pages, so I expect there will be a lot more character-based in book 2. No cliffie on this one, so I'm thrilled about that, but I'm still ready to read the next as soon as it's available!

Thanks as always to M. Sinclair and her team for the ARC!
