I loved James Clear’s book “Atomic Habits,” and this workbook really helped me put the concepts into action. I enjoyed the action checklists because it helped me really gauge where I am at currently. Not only that, the workbook suggests a specific plan of action as well. For example, you want to create a new identity statement with every new habit. Write down why you want to eat healthy or exercise, etc. It’s important to start with small steps. I got a lot out of this workbook. Definitely check it out if you’ve read James Clear’s book.

This isn’t a favorite of mine but it definitely was interesting how the author had created this book to help everyone out there have breakthroughs in habits or anything else that is going on in our everyday lives, no matter how big or small it is. The author also gives simple tips, explaining them as well that could help you overcome any habits/breakthroughs. The author gives us wisdom he has gotten while also adding scientific research through the book as well. I enjoyed how he also gave key insights/summaries at the end of the book. All-in-all, I did find this book interesting and would recommend it to anyone who wants a guide to overcoming habits/breakthroughs. Everyone has habits, both good and bad ones, this book gives you a guide on how to break all the bad ones knowing they can’t always be healthy habits. There are many strategies through this book that he has listed that could become very helpful!
Whether you plan to or have already read James Clear’s Atomic Habits or are looking for some guidance creating habits that you can stick with, this workbook is an important tool to add to your shelf! This workbook coordinates with the book so you can keep track with your readings and implement additional tips and prompts as you read. However, it’s also formulated so it can be used individually. Each section includes an overview of important information from the book so, while it enhances the book, it can also be used as a summary that highlights the most crucial information from each chapter. I appreciated the depth of the journaling questions to further dive into how to make James Clear’s system of habits work specifically for the reader. The questions and action goals were an important part of the learning experience I garnered from this book.
Honestly I have my fair share of 'undesirable' habits. Not folding my laundry, waiting to brush out my hair, waiting for the dishes to pile up before washing them, and putting off important phone calls because I don't like talking on the phone being a few. But I'm also a huge procrastinator, so if something doesn't feel constructive enough, I usually let it fall right back into my old routine. Getting my hands on an actual workbook for this type of thing reminds me of school. So though it may be a little silly, it helps me to actually pay attention and give my all.
Workbook: Atomic Habits produced by Robin Reads is best used in conjunction with James Clear’s book by a similar name Atomic Atoms. As stated in the title of this book, it is meant to be used as a guide for deeper understandings of Clear’s original concepts. By using this workbook, readers can expect to learn more about the four laws of behavior and how they can be. In turn, Clear presents his concept of a four-step model of habits that can be used to both develop good habits and break bad ones. While this book can also be used as a standalone workbook, readers may find that they get best results by utilizing both resources.
I appreciated how well the points of the original book were presented. Not too much detail and keeping useful examples. I was listening to the audiobook but sitting down with this workbook brought it all home.
Read the book by James Clear and enjoyed it. This synopsis helped to reaffirm and review the book anew. I am glad it was not like reading the whole book again.
