This was a fun reversal of fate in that it was our heroine who was running scared at the slightest whiff of commitment and our hero who was the great big romantic teddy bear. And maybe it was because Payton was so different from the type, that I had so much difficulty connecting and sympathizing with her. On the other hand, Karson carved a home for himself in the middle of my heart almost from the moment we met him. These two definitely have their challenges, but, for the most part, I really liked the way they and the people around them handled all those hills they had to climb. Showing us that while love can move mountains, it also takes work. Now, I’m more than curious to find out if the pair to couple up in the final moments of the story will get a book of their own in the future.

I really struggled with this book. I loved Karson but he deserved someone better. I could not stand Payton. She was a very unlikeable person and I really wanted to stop reading when she would start playing the victim but Karson was such a great H I finished. But I didn’t feel the chemistry and had no idea why Karson thought Payton was so amazing. I wanted to slap her multiple times. Im glad it’s over. I plan to read the 2nd book in hopes that it has a better h.

This was another great read from Ali Parker. I received it as an ARC for review and read it in one sitting. There was no cheating, lying or extreme violence…just great chemistry between these two characters.
Peyton is a junior real estate developer who is just handed her first big renovation project by her boss. Karson is the muscle side of the construction brothers owned company that landed the bid for the hotel project. Karson is also Peyton’s brother Grant’s best friend, her teenage crush and the one night stand from her brother’s wedding eight years ago!
The hotel has a six month deadline, a different love theme for each floor and they’ll need to not only have to work figure out how to work together, but travel to destinations to find inspiration for the hotel. And Peyton doesn’t believe love exists, but Karson does.
Let the games begin…

I loved reading this book.
Karson has always had a crush on Payton but she is his best friends little sister, what he doesn't know is that she has always had a crush on him. One night together then they don't see each other again for 8 years.
Working together is not easy but it's even harder when you want more from them.
I loved how they were together but Payton doesn't believe in love so can they get their HEA.
Loved the ending.

Explicit. I absolutely loved this! The opening chapter was hilarious, I loved when they met again and there were so many moments in between that made me giggle. The chemistry between the two main characters was great as well, with some good banter. Definitely worth the read - I will likely read book two at some point too.

This was a really good book. It is told in first person POV by the male and female characters. This is a second chance, brother’s best friend and age gap story. Although the stubborn hard head and the closet romantic have many laughs, they also have arguments, secret messages gone unanswered, steamy chemistry and an opportunity of a lifetime.
I love that Karson was the one to chase after Peyton and be the romantic. I loved that Karson was serious when it was needed but lived in the moment and could think of something hilarious to say on the fly. I loved how confident and determined Karson was. I loved that Peyton was so career focused. I wasn’t fond of how stubborn Peyton was and sometimes came off to selfish and self centered, but it made me love Karson that much more because of the determination to prove the feelings he had towards her and it made his creative ideas even better.
Grant and Maverick really helped to bring this story together. I am going to have to search to see if Grant already has a book, but I hope that Maverick gets a book soon! I enjoy reading Ali’s books and can’t wait to read more.

Fast forward and you have Karson and his brother Maverick owning a top notch construction company and getting a major contract. Payton is a project designer for a major real estate company and working her way up. When Payton and Karson first learn they will be on the same project however their thoughts are on different ends of the spectrum. Reconstruct a hotel...no problem. Six stories of love in a different city...no problem. The problem is traveling to the most romantic cities in the world with your first crush that you happened to have a one night stand with at your brother's wedding. Slowly Karson gets Payton to relax a bit and take in the scenery, only to remember her feel and touch. One night abroad isn't nearly enough but he's got his hands full with his best friends sister. Can they make it through six romantic cities in six months to complete this project with their hearts intact?? Karson and Payton are perfect for each other and was a great adventure following their story. A must read that has great characters, no cheating, no cliffhanger, great secondary characters and a HEA that still melt your heart. What an Adorable Romance

Skip ahead 8 years later. They meet again, but Payton doesn't want to have a romance. She wants to further her career. Plus, she is so jaded from her own parents' divorce, that she is scared to have any commitments. Karson can't and hasn't gotten over her. He wants to show her they are good together. Even if she is against everything about relationships.
I loved the romantic trips the two of them go on for the sake of the hotel project. The romance seems real and not forced at all. This is a steamy, romantic, HEA. I loved how Payton is making her way as a young project manager of a challenging corporate project. She is organizing, a planner, and a visionary. In her personal life she doesn’t believe in love or long term relationships. She is jaded because of her parents horrible, contentious divorce. Grant is newly married with a son who Payton adores. I liked how well he understands Payton and tries to show and reason with her about love despite the horrific example their parents were.
The Neidum brothers, Maverick and Karson are business partners in a construction company. Maverick is now the administrator looking for more lucrative business. Karson is in the field managing while working hands on with the construction. Karson is fun loving, perceptive, meticulous, confident, and insightful. Fate steps in and Payton must work with Karson on a challenging construction project. Their attraction comes to the forefront and boy do the lines get blurred!

This was an okay / mildly entertaining listen. It was very typical and predictable at every single turn, nothing original or spectacular. However, if you need something that doesn’t require intense concentration while you complete other tasks, it’s pleasant enough. Or for those millions of people who love reading / watching the same things over and over again—this one’s for you!

Karson Needum is Peyton Whiley's brother's best friend. She is four yrs younger than the boys so as a kid she was always the snot-nosed younger sister, but she had a huge crush on Karson as long as she can remember. When she got to about 15-16 he started noticing her but she was jail-bait for him plus his best friends little sis so off-limits.
Brothers wedding, Karon is bestman, Peyton is bridesmaid, they take off with a bottle of champagne and get to know each other on a different level.
Karson and his brother Maverick are partners in their construction firm, Maverick doing mostly paper and office work while Karson everything else. Maverick had bid on the remodel of an old downtown hotel and got it. Every floor is going to be a different romantic theme and Karson will travel around the world to cities for inspiration. Just to find out project manager is Peyton and they have 6 weeks for completion on hotel

They’ve known each other practically all their lives, and Payton’s brother is Karson’s best friend, and are four years older than her. But four years difference when you’re fifteen is a lot. Now they are working together on a project together. Their first meeting was not a good one, especially on Payton’s part. There’s a reason for that, but you would have to read the book to find out. Their story is a battle of wills, since Payton is the stubborn one. It was interesting to see how their story evolved, and I’m sure you will, too. Great reading with lots of steam, too.

Renewed my belief in happy endings
Payton, a real estate manager, had crushed on Karson, part owner of a construction firm, since she was a teenager and he was the boy next door. As the story progresses one night leads to deeper thoughts, a chance meeting creates more problems than sought, and as the work together things start to derail as feelings are caught. Not You Again renewed my belief in happy endings. Payton and Karson took things to another level as they worked their way through some of the most romantic cities. I am hoping that Maverick and Allison will be making an appearance in their own book.

Payton and Karson have known each other forever. He's her brother's best friend and her long time crush. Then she grew up. They get together at her brother's wedding and don't see one another for eight years. Thrown together for a work project things heat up quickly with sparks flying. The author pulls you into their story and kept me glued to the pages with all of the emotions, good and bad, throughout. She brings humor, drama, anger and a ton of steam as she brings them together. It's well written with descriptive scenes, moves fluidly and is a great read. I'm hoping to read Allison and Maverick's story next? Loved and recommend this book.

This title immediately got my attention, I could hear all the ways you could say the phrase. This book is well written with multiple storylines that flow seamlessly. Karson is a a fun character, hardworking, determined, driven, caring, strong, and a good man. I just loved him! Oh, yes he has the patience of Job. Payton is a hard worker, soured on love, stubborn, driven, loving, and late for everything 😉! I liked how they crushed on each other and had no clue. Finally acting on their attraction was a scorching hot scene. Life happens and they part but fate does it’s job in a very unconventional manner that is very entertaining. This is a book you will read in one sitting; loved it♥️♥️♥️♥️!

Karson is a great book boyfriend. He is hot, smart, funny and excellent at his job. He’s also sweet, charming and knows what he wants.
Payton is high strung, jaded, bossy and has moods that’ll give you whiplash. For some reason that does it for my dude Karson. Thank goodness she has her friend Allison, the voice of reason, and her brother Grant to keep her in line. I saw there would be lots of travel in this book and that’s what got me the most excited. I need to find a job where someone pays me to travel! I love a boy next door, brother’s best friend trope and this was a good one. For all of Payton’s unreasonableness, I still enjoyed the story, and it was really well written. A lovely epilogue and HEA to wrap it up at the end
Payton is high strung, jaded, bossy and has moods that’ll give you whiplash. For some reason that does it for my dude Karson. Thank goodness she has her friend Allison, the voice of reason, and her brother Grant to keep her in line. I saw there would be lots of travel in this book and that’s what got me the most excited. I need to find a job where someone pays me to travel! I love a boy next door, brother’s best friend trope and this was a good one. For all of Payton’s unreasonableness, I still enjoyed the story, and it was really well written. A lovely epilogue and HEA to wrap it up at the end

Relatable characters with personality quirks and easy-flowing descriptions that give you the sense of being there are seamlessly combined with glimpses of family life, moments of humor, and the stress of renovating a high-end hotel in six months.
Ali provided intriguing and beautiful glimpses of the international locations they traveled to resulting in me adding a few places to my “ If I Every… List”. Watching Karson pick away at Payton’s walls was at first annoying, but watching her fall for her brother’s best friend and allow herself to love again was heartwarming.

As usual Ali Parker has delivered another wonderful book. Payton and Karson make wonderful characters and I loved how determined he was to win her heart. A cold heart at that, she was all about business. He was her brother's best friend and the boy next door who she crushed on. Her brother's wedding turned out to be a night to remember. Business brings brings them together as they are assigned on a real estate project that entails travel to various romantic cities. She's a force to be reckoned with and has a strong personality that he seems. He's a romantic and she's all business. No shortage of twists and a surprise or two but a great book. It's a dual POV in the first person. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I really loved this book; it has a perfect title and is a wonderful second chance rom!
It's gripping and full of emotions; very well written and has 2 leading characters that are both very passionate and a bit intense; they have an off the charts sizzling chemistry and great banter.
Miss Ali is great at descriptions and I loved Karson's persistence at breaking down Payton's walls.
Highly recommended read, one I certaintly will read again.

When a one-night stand turns on you and you're forced to work together on the biggest job of your lives designing and constructing a "love hotel" for a huge foundation will that love find a way in both your hearts? Karson and Payton pour their hearts into the hotel for their client and the grand opening night is a great success and finally, they realize their happily ever after is attainable. Loved their story filled with romantic moments of their own.

Payton and Karson seem like chalk and cheese and despite their attraction to each other it’s hard to see how they could get together. Such a frustrating trait with Payton being late at every occasion is hard to put up with, but it adds amusing narrative to the story from Karson’s viewpoint.
A HEA with a touching finale which brought a romantic end to the story although I’d love there to be a follow up.

Payton and Karson were bridesmaid and best man at her brothers wedding a few years ago and it turned into a night they’d never forget. Payton has been crushing on Karson since he was the boy next door as kids. Now all these years later fate steps in and brings them together to work together in multiple different romantic cities. Feelings are caught and then they are forced to address the attraction the have for eachother. This book was phenomenal.

Ali Parker has written a wonderful book with well-defined characters. Payton and Karson have known each other for years. She had a big crush on him. She grew up and moved on with her life. They have a hot night at her brother's wedding. They meet again when they are forced to work together on a project. There are some tense moments with some humor. It flows so easily that you will lose track of time.
