A Heartwarming Story on the Importance of Family Ties
Caillou is disappointed when none of his friends can come over to play. To cheer him up, Daddy tells him the story of a great knight who protects his kingdom from a terrible dragon—with a little help from his family. Caillou learns that families can be a person's best friends and allies.
It is an adapted comic version of a TV show. This is a good story on make children learn on how to be happy within their family. It tells them to find their friends in their family and do not hope from other to be you all the time like your family members do. Usually we tend to make friends and hope to spend time with them but when they couldn't spare that time we need, we got disappointed and eventually depressed. So, we must always try to engage with our family first. Also, it gives a learning to parents to be with their children as a friends in addition to their prime responsibility of being their whole & sole guardians. This reflects on the family ties being more important than societal ones. After-all, if it is a good one, then blood always speaks better and well than complete society. Story is fun but average but as it is moral giving so I do not complain on the content as context is much better.
Caillou: The Silver Knight was a great, fun read. My 5 year old granddaughter watches Caillou on TV so she was excited for us to read this book. In the book, Caillou gets upset when his friend isn't able to come over to play at his house because she is sick. Dad reads Caillou a book called, The Silver Knight. He tells Caillou that he isn't alone and that he will always have family. The illustrations are great and detailed. I read this book with my 5 year old granddaughter and she loved it. Thank you to NetGalley, Chouette Publishing for the ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily and this is my own opinion. #netgalley, #caillou:thesilverknight, #robinbright, #family
This story shows Caillou feeling disappointed when a situation doesn’t go the way he wants it to. Which I feel a lot of kids will be able to relate to the situation he’s going through. In the end a great reminder to be happy for your now and what you do have.
For me it was hard to be entertained but I’m sure some kids would enjoy it.
Thank you NetGalley & Robin Bright for giving me a chance to read this Arc.
Thank you, NetGalley, for this advanced reading copy.
I don't know about the show and I didn't know it was an adaptation before reading this. But I guess this is fun, even for the children who haven't watched the show yet. It is colorful and the story is enchanting enough. I just wasn't into it that much.
This was a cute little book about even on bad days as long as you have your family everything will work out 🫶🏻 My almost 6 year old read this book pretty good with some words being hard to say but that’s to be expected for her age. She still loved this book & i thought it was adorable ! Thank you NetGalley for an Arc
My kids Caillou's imagination and learning how to spell 'knight' and loved that the dragon was nice. It seemed like a pretty normal episode of the show. I think most Caillou fans would enjoy this.
