I’m the queen of voice-over, something that often finds me locked in a sound-proof room. I’m sure it’s where smoking hot but grumpy, Logan Young would prefer I stay.

We Stan a plus size queen who knows her worth and a man who recognizes it. Mandy has a body for dayyys, a cool job, incredible work ethic, and fantastic personality what more could anyone ask for? Logan is society’s example of a perfect man so built like a Hollywood darling. But he has more baggage because of what’s become societal norms. His piece of something ex abandoned him on what should have been their wedding day. Didn’t even show up, just called to say nah. Brooke made sure he knew the reasoning for doing such a shitty thing was he couldn’t provide her with the lifestyle she wanted, ie he wasn’t sweating money and she has followers to impress mkay. The worst part is I’ve seen enough people be like that, so this isn’t even far fetched for our world. Sighs, it was exhausting just reading about her. I adored Mandy and Logan, I would very much like another glimpse into their life together.

The author has given us a quick read that pulls us into the lives of Mandy and Logan and does not let go. After heartbreak, Logan has built walls around his heart. Will Mandy be able to break through the walls? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mandy and Logan don't seem like they'd work together but when their forced together, you never know.

Mandy meets Logan in an unorthodox way and he definitely ruffles her feathers. With his history, Logan prefers to stay away from people but especially women. What will happen when they are forced together?

Very good book! I loved the characters and their stories. I read the last few books in the Coogan's Break series and now I'm starting at the beginning to read them all. These books do not need to be read in order so start with whichever book sounds the most tempting and enjoy!

Logan expects to be able in the fire pond alone only to find himself there with a young woman. Mandy expects the same thing. He chews her out, only to be paired with her on an assignment from his boss. He expects Mandy to turn tail when he tells her to be ready the next day to being her training. Little does he know she's expecting his behavior and is prepared for anything he can throw at her. Can they make it through her training? Who will give first?

I enjoyed this story. I loved Mandy and her attitude to show up Logan. He keeps comparing her to his ex-fiancé. Mandy finds out his story from her mother. She then shows him he had a lucky escape. When seen through her eyes, he realizes he's been looking at it wrong. His mood and behavior improve. The two then find common ground to work with.

I look forward to more of this series.

The fire pond that sparked a romance...

Logan and Mandy had an interesting first encounter at the fire pond that both believed to be their hidden gem. Mandy gets a job interview, where she encounters Logan more. Things heat up from there. My only complaint is that I wanted MORE!! LOL

Meh. It was not what I was looking for. I expected a hot and heavy Novella, but what I got was a couple of lack luster scenes that were practically fade to black. I expected less story than we got and more spice. Overall just ok.
