Part of the Coogan’s Break series each book can be read as a standalone in under an hour or so with a sexy creator and the creative girl who captures his attention. Brad sexy as all get out hot mess but learning to be a better man after serving his time he just want to live a quiet life on the straight path but his old crew decides to catch up, to try dragging him back ultimately landing right back to the cage he so desperately wants to avoid returning to. Macie sweet curvier than most has been talked about most of her life because of those curves but she has learned to not take anyone’s mess and being a jewelry creator brings her the most joy finding unique sometimes everyday items turning them into something beautiful. Meeting the most gorgeous man in the most unusual way was fates way of bring these two together, she pretty much knocked him out cold …yep trust me you will be laughing while trying to read how they met the attraction is instant, it is intense and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored but giving it comes at a cost to both of them will they be strong enough to carve their own path, him maintaining his freedom, working to keep their creativity alive, making the right decisions, and finding happiness on the path they have embarked upon?.

Brad is trying to get his life back on track after his time in prison. When he heads west to work for a guy that he served with, the last thing he plans on is fall in love with the home owner. When trouble shows up at her door, he will do anything to keep her safe.

This is a fast romance, almost insta love, but not in a cringey way. I found the main characters are wonderfully well rounded. I found the inner monologues great to read.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Brad and Macie and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with connection, secrets and steam.
