I read this a few days ago and have already forgotten it. They meet again after a few years, not many but i forget exactly how long. She had gone away to med school and he became a contractor. He returns to town a few months before she does. She has some magic that really has very little impact on the story and was kinda meaningless. So they meet again, the truth about the girl who answered his phone back then is revealed and was super lame. The End.
A short, short story and very sweet! Zari and Quinn. Quinn is returning home to Willistown, California. She has a Medical Practice in Washington but it is time to come home. Her Aunt tells her that Quinn is back in town. Zari remembers him all too well. But that was a long time ago. This town is supposed to be filled with MAGIC but for Zari it does not exist. But her Aunt disagrees. But to Zari magic is not for her. She has tried to suppress magic most of her life especially since her mom died. This town though gives positivity in the air. When she sees Quinn in the Bakery it brings back all the memories. Man is she in trouble. What now? Can she stay here and start her Practice and ignore Quinn and Magic? It sure is a tall order but she is going to give it a try. Succeed or not she is staying.
Now, I went into this knowing that this was a short story and usually anytime I read a short story I give it 4 stars. However, I’ve given this three and will explain my decision shortly. I enjoyed the quick magical intro and second chance romance between Quinn and Zari and I definitely look forward to a longer second book in this series❣️
The only thing I don’t like was that the story was 37 pages or thereabouts and I paid over $4 for it. To me this should’ve been priced lower purely for the fact that there aren’t many pages…perhaps it’s just me but I feel like the half hour it took me to read was over to quick for what I paid. For that amount I’d expect at least 200 pages😢
I loved this story. Sari and Quinn , true love at it's finest. Magic, small Ocean Town, where everyone knows each other. If you love, 1st love stories, peppered with a little witchcraft and hometown feelings, you will love this short story. I would love to see Kym , continue with Sari and Quinn. Give them a novel to themselves as everyone will be invested in everything about their town, witches and love.
I always love a good HEA. Zari returns home to Willistown, to find her old love Quinn there. Sparks fly. I am already loving this magical town. From a Fan... Pam James.
Loved the story and can’t wait for more. Wish it was extended from what was in the Anthology but understand other book’s have been in the works and wanting to get to your readers that did not read the anthology.
This is a short but sweet second chance romance. Zari comes back to her hometown to accept her magic and start a doctor's office. Quinn, her high school love, has been back for some time. When they meet again, sparks fly and they take advantage of those sparks and rekindle their romance.
