3 stars. I much preferred the Beauty and the Beast retelling by this author than this Little Mermaid one. This one was a lot more relying on sex and I just didn’t feel any genuine connection between Ayla and Eryn. Their characters weren’t that fleshed out and I wasn’t as invested unfortunately. Overall, wasn’t terrible or anything and it was a quick read but I was left wanting more development and depth.
