When Nathaniel Nichols hired me as his live-in nanny, I was all too thrilled to escape the trailer park and pack up to NYC. I didn’t expect to meet a stone faced Adonis looming over me.
Seriously, a single dad in his late 30s should not be built like a linebacker.
As if nannying, homeschooling, and working as his personal assistant don’t keep me busy enough, Nate makes an additional request of me.
Meet his stuffy grandmother and pretend to be his fiancée.
Simple. Until we’re snowed in, alone at his winter cabin with nothing but body heat to keep us warm… You can guess the rest.
Now I don’t know where we stand.
I’m struggling to protect my heart when Nate and his little boy are slowly melting the ice around it.
Things get even more complicated when I realize I’m late.
Bella Brandon is a contemporary romance author who specializes in alpha males with hearts of gold and the women they can’t resist. After a decade of screenwriting, the global pandemic forced her back to her hometown, where she turned to writing fanfiction to ease the long days of quarantine. What started out as a hobby to cope with severe loneliness turned into original characters and a reigniting of a childhood love of storytelling (with added steam).
When she isn’t working to create new and exciting stories, you can usually find her snuggled up with one of her three kitties, gaming, and nursing a glass (or three) of wine.
I really enjoyed this book. An intense story full of detail. A plot that captured my attention all the way through. Cameron has finally found her way out. To escape her father and find some peace. Nate needs a nanny, he offers Cameron the job. Nate is gruff and intense. A powerful man he finds himself in a situation out of his control. Falling for the woman who is helping his son heal. Cameron goes out of her way to help, she is fierce, loyal and always aiming to be the best she can. Falling for her boss was not in her plan. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, these characters and the excellent plot detail. I definitely recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
She turned that bear into a big teddy bear. My heart is happy that he was able to finally get his act together. It was a great story. I am upset with the fact that we didn't get the reunion with Cam and Ash. I think that would have been a sweet addition and, of course, an epilogue of when the baby comes. Can you tell? I'm not done with them yet. I want more.
Great read. The characters are rich and someone you care about. The story is full of confused feeling, Love and secrets. I will read many more books by Bella Brandon!
Even though the premise of this story was not original, I was still captivated by the romance because of the strong and resilient female character. The author did a great job with her.
This is a slow burn romance with a girl running away and a boss who has forgotten how to have fun with a small son. Very entertaining and I recommend this highly
