— found family — street kids — he calls him princess 👑
Ryan sees a young guy stealing the tires off an extravagant car. He goes to check on what’s going on, and as soon as he sees this man he feels an attraction. The other man is very prickly and stand off ish, and he doesn’t want to tell Ryan his name. When Ryan finds out the man is stealing the tires in order to buy medicine for other street kids who refuse to go to the hospital in fear of going back into foster care, Ryan decides to help.
The large time jump between chapter 1 and 2 made it difficult to connect with the relationship between them. While there was a nice buildup in the beginning, I would have liked to see more of the development of their relationship after that initial night.
The story reads like a prequel. I’m not sure if another book is planned, since it doesn’t say anything in the end of the book or in the blurb about it being a prequel. It was interesting, but the main plot was more about the street kids of Danger and their war against the Winter family than their romance. Especially after the new drug, Epic, is discovered in their city. This had some sweet scenes and a bit of spice but very minimal.
Overall, I was intrigued with the story, and I liked Ryan and Milo and the glimpses we got of their friends. The story and writing kept me intrigued the whole time. If there is going to be another book, I would definitely check it out.

Tense. Ryan and Milo team up to protect their found family and the streets from harm. They have been together awhile trying to protect those who couldn’t always protect themselves. The initial goal was to provide medicine to those who feared going to the hospital is noble. ur Milo and Ryan find out someone is selling a new dangerous drug, Epic They have a new challenge. The story is fierce but too short. We need more story and more answers The author, does an amazing job setting the story up and guiding us through the challenged living of these forgotten souls. Ends in a cliffhanger, which I never like. Nice story, fun/funny supporting characters. Great theme. Nicely done. I received and ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ryan and Milo, both street kids, form a strong bond when they team up to steal from a gangster to buy medicine for sick children. They develop a deep romantic relationship and create a close-knit found family. Their lives improve drastically until they discover a dangerous new drug called "Epic" is being sold to the youth of Danger. Determined to protect their community, Ryan, Milo, and their friends must take drastic measures to save their city.
I enjoyed this story, I really liked Ryan,Milo and the gang and loved the found family element of the story and how they would do what they could to protect the homeless and the less fortunate kids of their town even if means taking on the ruling family. Looking forward to reading more from this series hopefully won’t be too long a wait.
Nice short start to hopefully a new series in this interesting complicated world. I would have liked more details about the years in between the MCs meeting and them suddenly having jobs, being in a long-term relationship and so on. This ended with lots of potential for a continuation of the story but no uncomfortable cliffhanger.
This was an OK read. It wasn’t too much and it wasn’t too little. I would’ve liked to see more coming from both characters as if you know some things wasn’t really settled and it was just feeling a little bit bland.
I enjoyed this book as it was powerful in its telling. I loved the depiction of the characters. I would have loved to read about two hundred more pages of this story, so I am hoping it continues in book two. Truly enjoyable book.
Not a bad short read. Milo and Ryan were well written and the plot was engaging. I wouldn't mind if it were longer. There are a few questions that could be answered and the intensity was great, but too short.
The theme of found family was prominent. Definitely worth a read.
