He teaches philosophy and religion at the Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary, is professor of biblical criticism at the Center for Inquiry Institute, and the author of a number of books on theology and the historicity of Jesus, asserting the Christ myth theory.
A former Baptist minister, he was the editor of the Journal of Higher Criticism from 1994 until it ceased publication in 2003. He has also written extensively about the Cthulhu Mythos, a "shared universe" created by H.P. Lovecraft.

While some of the stories don't really feature or revolve around Yig, this is a decent collection of stories.
Most feature Yig in some capacity, or at least his progeny and/or worshippers. A few just mention him in passing, so their inclusion is stretching it at best. Still, it features a good array of talent. Two stories by Lovecraft himself, Lin Carter, Don Webb, Brian McNaughtan, as well as Price himself.
I believe this was originally put together for Chaosium when they did a lot of Mythos anthologies to compliment their Call of Cthulhu rpg. Even though it originally came out a long time ago, it still holds up as a good collection of Yig-related fiction at the time.
