Can a sweet omega wolf tame the beast of a gargoyle? Will he accept all that his mate has to offer and need?
Raiden Mason is the serious twin. He’s gone through life watching and observing, and when his ability is needed by the council, he is only too happy to do his duty. But when he scents something amazing, he and his beast are suddenly focused on making the sweet omega wolf theirs, despite the warnings from his mate’s cousin. But will Alexander feel the same?
Alexander Fabré was orphaned at fifteen, and although his cousin and the new pack alpha took responsibility for him, he often feels stifled by his overbearing cousin. He’s grateful, but he longs for something that he lost at such a young age—a family that understands and accepts him without question. He moved to Timber Valley in hopes of finding both, and when he scents his mate, his hope is finally restored. But does he ask too much of the sexy gargoyle that fate has deemed his?
Meshing their lives together is easy enough, despite the discovery of a truly dirty pack that keeps pulling Raiden away on assignment and Alexander suffering from a difficult pregnancy. Can they survive everything life is throwing at them? Will Alexander finally have the family that he has desired for so long? Will Raiden?
Raiden is Book Seven in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be babies in this story. You should expect all the normal shenanigans, heats, biting, and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.
Loved this one too. I don't how it's possible but Raiden was even more possessive than any other I've read thus far. And I was here for it. Loved him and was glad too get to know of him. Alexander deserved his HEA too and I'm so glad he got it. He was very attentive and sweet. The pregnancy complications and what resulted of it are very necessary in my opinion. Not everything is always perfect and stuff happens. They got their son but are unable to have, and since neither of them wants more, it wasn't so bad.
Honestly a good one. I liked Raiden and Alexander as a couple, and their journey. I also lived the tension between Alexander and Everett, I did feel like Everett had done wrong to Alexander and having him face it was really satisfying. I do want to see what the next two books bring. Also, side note, I wonder what Taylor will do once this universe is set aside. I feel like this paranormal route is a thousand times better than the contemporary work in men of crooked bend (granted, Taylor has grown a lot as an author since). But while it's quite surprising that there's still juicy stories left after like five series... it's still a lot of books in one universe
Once again the Goddess has paired the perfect fated mates in Raiden and Alexander. But even though they are fated it doesn’t mean that everything runs smoothly for them. Raiden is a gargoyle who is rather serious and is an enforcer for the Council. Alexander is doctor and an omega wolf who is having issues with his cousin who is his only remaining relative. The initial meeting between these two very likeable characters isn’t ideal but they are able to overcome the minor miscommunication issue and the sizzling chemistry between them ignites. Being stuck inside for days due to a storm also means plenty of steamy times! As fate would have it, Alexander becomes pregnant very quickly. It is a complicated pregnancy so please heed the authors warning at the beginning of the book.
This instalment in the series pulled at my heartstrings a bit but left me smiling at the end. Raiden and Alexander worked together to get their HEA and to overcome the challenges presented to them. They also had tremendous support from those around them.
I am so happy the Alexander gets his happy ending. I love Alexander and Raiden! These two are just so sweet together. I absolutely love this world that Taylor Rylan has created and I get excited everytime there is a new coming out. I can't wait for the next one in this amazing world.
I rated this book 4.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 5 stars. Another good read by Taylor Rylan. Raiden is a gargoyle shifter, and is an Enforcer with the Paranormal Council. He has an identical twin Ramsey who have only each other in the world since their birth clan are a*seholes. Alexander is a wolf shifter, whose parents and siblings died when he was only 15 years old. His old alpha Justin and his cousin and old pack beta Everett have always protected Alexander but to the bloody extreme. All because he’s an omega but he’s been an adult for a very long time. I felt sorry for Alexander as him and Everett don’t really get along and now that Everett and Jennings moved up to treasure ridge they only invited him to have dinner with them once, but text him multiple times to watch their daughter Evie so they could go for a run together. Yes, he was all up in their business when they were first mating so it’s understandable that they pushed him away so they could have time and space to grow their bond but they’ve been sh*t at keeping in touch unless they want his help. I’m glad that Raiden put his foot down when Everett was basically demanding to catch up with Alexander since they’re family. Raiden told him that him and Jennings treat Alexander like sh*t and it’s up to Alexander when he wants to catch up with them but they’ve got no one to blame but themselves.
Man, gargoyle pregnancies are hard a f*ck on the body. Alexander definitely had an extremely tough pregnancy. I’m glad that Alexander accepted how strong the bond between Raiden and his twin Ramsey is, and that he’s always going to be a big part of their life. Ramsey freaks out initially as he’s worried that now Raiden and Alexander are together, that they’ll move back to their birth clan which is stupid considering how backwards their birth clan is. I think Ramsey was more worried that Raiden will no longer be in his life now he has his own family. I wish that this book had a bit more action an adventure but still a good read. I really want to know what the mysterious presence is on the mountain that seems to be protective of pregnant omegas. I’m glad that Taylor said that this series is going to be quite long, as I’d happily read as many books that Taylor chooses to write, especially from this universe. I’ve already pre-ordered Parker and Ramsey’s book which I’m looking forward to reading them when they’re released. I’m still hoping we get Damien’s, Knox (Luc’s brother), and maybe some of the new Enforcers like Dmitri (Alpha Sergei’s - the created dragon grandson) get their own happily ever afters as well. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Another enforcer finds his mate and sweetness ensues
Okay, I think I might have an unpopular opinion here but while I loved Raiden and I’m so, so glad he’s found his mate and he and Alexander are happy together, I kind of didn’t love Alexander. In some ways I actually think it made the book better (though not my favourite) because I liked that there was that tension for me with Alexander yet I could still see how good he was for Raiden (99% of the time) and how well they worked as a team. Maybe I’m off but sometimes I like to read a book with a character I begrudging accept works for the MC. Almost like when you meet a friend’s SO and personally don’t like them (not that there’s anything wrong with them, you just don’t mesh well) but can see how much they love your friend and how good they are for them. You like them but don’t at the same time. It’s… real and imperfect I guess is the best way to describe it and I like sometimes for that imperfection to make it’s way into books. It makes them hit home a bit more if that makes sense. There was nothing wrong with Alexander per se, I just didn’t get the warm and fuzzies with him but he was still sweet and kind (most of the time) with Raiden (who I adored haha). I think my only niggle is that I kind of wish people would lay off Everett. I know he’s not perfect but it feels a bit like people lay into him over all kinds of stuff that they wouldn’t with others (I’ll admit, I still think Justin is being ridiculous about the whole Matteo thing, you can’t help who you find attractive). I’m not saying he’s perfect, he’s definitely not. But that’s the case with everyone and it seems almost bullying. If I were Everett I’d honestly seriously consider leaving. He might be a prickly guy and, as I said, he’s not perfect but he doesn’t deserve to be isolated. He tries and whilst he might not get it right all the time, trying is better than not caring at all. Bah, okay, I’ve said my piece lol (can you tell I have a soft spot for him haha?). I loved learning all about gargoyles and all their very intriguing mating habits/rituals/instincts. I’m so glad Taylor decided to include them and I’m really looking forward to Ramsey’s book (the twins have a special place in my gargoyle loving heart). Until we get to Ramsey though I’m really looking forward to the awesome pairs we’ll get to meet.
This one was a bit more intense than the others when it came to the pregnancy part, but otherwise it was the same. I'm getting really tired of this "mysterious" entity coming up to anyone who's pregnant. How many books will it take to reveal what that is? Because we still don't have a resolution to the trafficking story line, even though the bad guys were dead like 3 books ago.
I don't know how I feel about how Raiden treated Everett and Jennings in this book. I feel like neither of them got a chance to talk out their feelings with each other at all and they were just cut out of most of the things going on. When they showed up at the end and there wasn't that big of a reaction to Alex almost dying, I was confused. I don't think that conflict was handled very well and it took away from the story for me.
I loved learning more about Alpha Daegal and his mate. We wanted a softer side to him and we got it. I wish we knew more backstory on their family, but that might be in another book. I also feel like the characters in other books disappear if they aren't related to or interact with the current MCs. We get Master Edison a lot, but not Ambrosious or Emmerich, etc. It just feels a bit weird to know they must be around but not see them.
One thing that has bugged me this whole series is how they seem to utilize the warlocks. They are basically glorified elevators, taxis, and Door Dash people. In the entire series so far, I think I've only seen one of them use their powers for something in a fight once? Otherwise it's just been superficial stuff, which seems like such a waste if you are powerful. Master Edison is the "Created Warlock" and he should have much better things to do than play portkey to a bunch of enforcers, even if they are friends.
I really don't know anything about Parker since we've really not been introduced to him at all and we've only seen him in this series interacting with the bad guys they bring in, since he seems to be the interrogator. I don't feel the urge to read his book because we know nothing about him at all, so I may take a break for a bit before I dive back in.

I love this world! The idea of the Created Ones, shifters, hellhounds, warlocks, fated mates, and a mountain spirit that protects pregnant omegas. I have always liked the gargoyle twins. This is Raiden's story. Alexander is his perfect mate, who thinks Raiden's "beast" is gorgeous. We get to know the Created Gargoyle and his mate. Yes, there are triggers: abuse, a bad pregnancy, a scary birth. They are handled with compassion. I don't think anyone will be offended. And the sex! Wow! There are two more books coming. I can't wait. You are gonna love this book... I guarantee it. If you haven't read the rest of this series, please do so. Not only is it vital to understanding this world, but the books are wonderful!.
I was not expecting to like it ! Especially when I'm starting the series with book seven haha. I have to admit that I was a little bit lost at the beginning but I kind of got the gist of the world building situation.
At the beginning I was bored. Indeed, in my opinion Alexander and Raiden fell in love too quickly. I know that they feel that they are mate but they literally fell in love 2 seconds after meeting each other. I usually prefer a more realistic style for a couple.
Then it started to get interesting when they interacted with all kinds of characters. Overall I didn't like a lot of things but this book has potential : enough potential to make me enjoy it even though I think there are quite some flaws. (pacing is one of them)
However the whole experience was pleasing so I put a 4/5
And then there were gargoyles... Taylor Rylan continues to add characters to her expanding paranormal universe. Raiden is an enforcer for the Paranormal Council and a gargoyle. Alexander is an omega wolf and a doctor rescued from New Orleans and living in Timber Valley. Being true-mated doesn't mean that there won't be problems. Even with a guaranteed HEA, there is a lot the MCs must learn about one another to get there. Each story in this paranormal universe stands on the shoulders of the ones before, so be aware that having read the previous books in the series will make this a much more interesting read... we see a lot of people we've known before. Go ahead - invest the time and energy - you won't be sorry!
Raiden is the serious gargoyle twin and works for the Council. Alexander is an omega wolf and doctor in Timber Valley. They catch each others scents at a big meeting but don't figure it out till later. Their first introduction doesn't go well and then they have to deal with annoying cousins and old clan politics. There are still rescue missions and injured omegas to treat and help. People still get butt hurt. There's still a gentle spirit of some sort on the mountain protecting pregnant omegas. As the blurb suggests, carrying a gargoyle baby isn't easy and Constantine's help is necessary. An excellent addition to the series! Can't wait for Parker and Ramsey to get their stories too!
Raiden and Alexander are so good together! The Paranormal Enforcers series just gets better with each book! While Raiden and Alexander have to overcome and work together to achieve their HEA. It’s so worth it! I love how protective and caring Raiden is of his wolf shifter. Please be aware that there are trigger warnings and if you have these you should check the inside for more information. I look forward to more stories in this series! This review is an honest and unbiased reflection of my thoughts after reading an advanced readers copy of the book.
I’ve read all the books in Taylor Rylan paranormal series/spin-offs. I couldn’t wait to read Raiden’s book and get to know him better. We only got glimpses of him and his twin from other books. I’m so glad his mate with Alexander. I liked him from the other books. We had a busy weekend here so it took me longer than usual to read and still I couldn’t sleep because I was thinking of this book. That is how good the book was. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I really liked this latest book in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series!! Raiden is a gargoyle and a twin and works at the council as an enforcer. Alexander is an omega wolf who works as a doctor at Timber Valley. When they meet for the first time it didn't go well at all but they worked it out and was committed to learn about one another. Some ups and downs and twists and turns but they find a way to make it all work out for the best. Another great story and I can't wait for more. Well done!
This is a paranormal romance, the seventh book of the series that must be read in order! I feel like this is the best of the series with intriguing continuity over the series but also the relationship dynamics are unique to this pair. It’s hard to tell you what I liked so much but it would give away the story! I feel like the author read my critique several books ago and changed everything I didn’t like about “Everett” and explained some aspects. There are just three books left!
Raiden and Alexander are sweet together, but a lot of emphasis is placed on the difficulty of Alexander's pregnancy and I wonder what the repercussions will be going forward in the series when other gargoyles find their mates. Raiden's twin has me looking forward to his story! I also find it interesting that the author has taken a previous character (Everett) and almost vilified him in this entry for his behavior in his own book that was fine within the context of his book. It was kind of weird.
Raiden by Taylor Rylan is the seventh book in the Paranormal Enforcers series. We finally got Alexander’s story. I love Alexander and Raiden. Raiden was so stiff and serious, Alexander a great match for him. I personally liked the way that Raiden protected Alexander from his cousin, Everett. I loved getting a little more insight into the Gargoyle twins, can’t wait for Ramsey’s book. Overall, a great addition to the series. Well written with smooth pacing.
I absolutely loved seeing both of these characters finding their HEA as I’ve enjoyed getting to know them before now in other books. Their scenting and claiming might not get off to the best start at the very beginning but they sort their issues out quickly for the most part and settle into a loving and supportive relationship. It’s so great with Raiden and Alexander are so great getting to know them better. I also loved learning all about the created gargoyle and his mate.
As has been mentioned by Taylor Rylan, there is a trigger warning for a difficult pregnancy but I would certainly give a warning for the labour and delivery part of this mpreg story. There is an HEA as always with a Taylor Rylan book but the scene might be triggering for some. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Raiden has fascinated me from the beginning and this was so fascinating to find out more about him. Alexander is someone that I always thought just needed to find his place or person so he could be who he is. This story will pull on every possible emotion you have so be prepared for that. Looking forward to the next one!
Raiden is Book seven of the Paranormal Council Enforcer Book series .
This was another fantastic book in this series I'm so glad that Alexander got his turn at HEA . And I'm also glad that we get to know the twins some what better . Raiden and Alexander are a great match known I'm waiting for the next book .
Absolutely loved it, not going to lie I did cry, so suspect a little angst in the form of pregnancy and delivery issues. But truly this was a great addition to the series, I have been waiting for Alexander to get his HEA ever since Mateo's book, and I have been curious about the gargoyle twins since they were introduced.
Taylor Dylan what an amazing story! I have loved your series about the created one and the shifters of the different communities they are set in. This story makes me happy that one of the gargoyles got a mate! I laughed so much at the banter amongst the characters! The love felt between the MC's is wonderful! Ready for the next book!
Absolutely amazing read, I was a bit worried about the pregnancy issues but Taylor handled it beautifully. Alexander and Raiden were a perfect match and loved them both so much. Very happy to find out hat happened with Oscar and always happy to see the other couples.
3.5⭐ This was enjoyable but somewhat boring if you've read the other books in this series. It all feels too similar, there isn't really any big difference from this or the others in the series 75% of the book feels copy and paste just changes the names out.
I think I'll be taking a break from the series before I continue on.
I felt like I've waited forever for the Twins stories since they were first introduced. Waited until midnight on release day and read through the night nonstop to finish. Absolutely loved it. Now I have to wait for the other twin, with Parker in-between! It's going to feel like forever again.
No spoilers of any kind included. So all I’m going to say about this book Raiden is I absolutely loved it and I really loved getting lost within its pages and I’ll leave it at that. So yes I most definitely recommend this book, actually I recommend the whole series because it’s amazing.
I absolutely adore this series and Raiden’s book is the perfect addition! He and Alexander are wonderful together and it was so interesting learning more about the gargoyles, they really are fascinating. Another wonderful book by Taylor Rylan!
I loved this story line and hated the birth scene. Broke my heart but now you have to read it to find out what happened. Anyway I love this series and it doesn't feel drawn out or repetitive Taylor does an amazing job with the entire series and spin-offs.
Oh I love Raiden and Alexander’s book, such a sweet loving pair. Honestly for me this series just keeps getting better and better. If you love fluff, heat, intrigue, cute babies and amazing writing you need to read this book and the whole series.
