The characters have evolved into fully-certifiable heroes. This story made plenty of callbacks to the start of the series, as well as every meaningful relationship made along the way.

With the summation of the previous novels, this led to plenty of emotional moments that drove me to keep turning pages.

Marc DeGeorge piloted this story's spaceship admirably to land the series and immediately take off again. I hope this isn't the last I read from these characters.

If you were waiting until the series finished to start reading, then do yourself a favor and pick up to find out the meaning of friendship. The core group of friends pulled at every emotional heartstring in this finale.
