Tarot: A Life Guided by the Cards

Rate this book
Most tarot books explain the meaning of the cards and how to read spreads. In A Life Guided by the Cards , I go one step further – using events from my life to illustrate the rich symbolism of each card and helping the reader see how they relate to their own life and circumstances. I have an extended section on the court cards, which are the characters of Tarot. Understanding these cards is a fascinating way to better know yourself, other people, and to add real colour to your readings. I also cover some big tarot What is fate? Can the future be predicted? How to read for yourself in difficult times. How to adjust a Tarot spread to ensure accuracy and reflect any situation. Safeguarding - what you need to consider when reading Tarot for others. How to guide your life with the tarot. Think of my book as a long chat with a Tarot expert, shared over a cup of coffee. As I share memories, answer your questions, and offer you practical guidance to support your Tarot journey.

Love how reading this book it felt as if Maddy was sat next to me chatting!

A different approach to other tarot books i have read, she really knows the symbols in the cards and explained them in a way I really understood.

I really enjoyed this book on Tarot, especially the detailed walkthrough of the symbols on each card in the Rider deck, which I followed using my cards. The card-by-card reflections were an excellent review for me, and also provided a lot of new perspectives. I found the personal memoir aspect very engaging and helpful with applying the Tarot symbology. There was quite a bit of discussion about Nordic lore and shamanism, which was not really for me, but it didn’t pose a big problem or detract from my experience with the book.

I've always been confused by the court- cards- but this book actually made me laugh as I read the descriptions! Really helped me to see the court cards as real people rather than lists of key words.
Loved the story of the author- forgot I was reading a book about Tarot sometimes because I got lost in the story, and this helped me to understand the cards in a more real way.

Really enjoyed reading this- loved the personal voice of the author.

Now I need to go back and make notes- I really feel this book has changed how accurate my tarot readings are.
