Angela Harrison is tasked to create a team of specialists and then travel to St. David, Arizona, to investigate the needless death of a teenager by a pack of bloodthirsty vampires. What they find in this small southwestern town is far from ordinary. Angela leads her team of investigators, which includes a computer wizard and his wife, a disgraced ex-FBI agent turned lawyer. There is a small-time college professor who researches paranormal & mythological activity, and then there’s FBI agent Jake Taylor, a werewolf. Finally, there is Erin Hastings, a blossoming teenager who is cut down by a cult of nesting vampires. Now, she is one herself. Eventually, they are joined by Kira Knight, a changeling that rounds out the group. Join this ragtag group of investigators as they get used to working with one another while trying to figure out the diabolical plans of the dreaded Master Gardener.

A beautiful ode to a lost daughter, with monsters.

A very high brow monster story, making it an interesting mixture of horror and literature.

Strong women to cheer for, brave men to admire, and deadly villains for them to fight. Just stay away from the composter…
